CHAPTER 19

“Wake up” I can hear a faint familiar voice murmured “Norah!” another voice shouted making me open my eyes once.

I can see Kiki, Bran, Fed, and Mathis looking so horrible, their faces were swollen and red, I looked at their bodies and I can see cuts all over them. Tears keep rolling down Kiki’s cheek while the boys still look as cold as ever. I raised my hand to feel my face too and I couldn’t feel any pain, but the lower side of my neck hurt so much and that was when I remember how we were passed out with an iron rod yesterday.

“I am sealing all my deals today,” Kyle said bringing me back to life “what deal” I asked pretending “I am very sure by now you knew everything” Kyle stated smirking “How” Bran asked throwing up his weak wrist in the air “I knew a copy of one of the essential documents was missing so who would have found it?” Kyle said raising his voice toward the end “you should be ashamed Kyle!” I yelled looking into his eyes

“I am and that is why I am going to have you killed here finally in front of your friends and boyfriend!” Kyle yelled back at me moving towards me and gripping my neck “Never will you dare, you bastard!” Kiki summoned her energies shouted making Kyle to let go of my neck and move toward her “How dare you talk to me like that?” he asked running his hand on Kiki’s face “Will you take away that disgusting hand of yours?” Mathis commanded in a question-like form “I won’t kill you because of my likeness for you but I will make sure you live with the pain of Norah’s death” Kyle threatened while Leon giggled before his phone comes up.

Kyle accepted the call and went to a corner to discuss something I can’t fathom with the caller. After a few minutes, he gestured to Leon and others in the hideout in which they quickly obey, and before I could blink, their two cars had zoomed off.

I looked at Bran and Fed and I can say they must have received the worst beating of their lives. I looked at my hand and it was tied and so also the others.

“Fuck!” Bran said squeezing his face as he struggled with the rope tied around his hands.

“Glad you are okay princess” Fed rumbled while I smiled “thank you, Fed” I replied while he nodded “Bran so you wouldn’t have said anything even if Kyle wanted to slit Norah?” Mathis asked as he was struggling with his tied hands “I know he cannot do anything of such” Bran replied leaving the rest of us amazed and the expression on his face show how confident he is.

We all went silent and kept our gaze elsewhere “Kia?” Mathis asked looking so surprised

Everyone turned back to where Mathis was tied, and we were all surprised to see Kia.

“Kia, so you are still in this city and alive” Bran exclaimed looking so happy and extremely surprised as others.

“where have you been” Kiki and Fed said in sync

Bran also has a lot of happiness and excitement written all over his face and he moved a little closer to us.

“I don’t have much time to spend here, I have only come to save you,” Kia said as he pulls out a mini knife in his pocket and moved closer to me.

“Thank you so much, Kia,” I said as he cut me lose and put a very thin folded paper with the knife in my hand “I have to leave here now”, Kia said as he rushed out of the hideout and leaving everyone wondering.

I hide the paper in my top and started helping others out “We must find out what is happening guys,” Bran said looking so eager and worried “Kyle looked so worried and annoyed after receiving the call the other time” Kiki added while Fed and Mathis nodded.

I also started having the feeling that something is going on then I remember Coach said she had alerted my parents.

“To my place” I exclaimed rushing out of the building while others followed We entered the car and Mathis drove us out of the compound ………………………………………………

Mathis pull up in front of my house and we stepped out of the car to meet my dad and mom standing outside looking so lost in thoughts.

They got aware of our presence as we started moving closer to them. I can see the excitement on their faces as they set their eye on me and my dad also start approaching me.

“Dad!” I screamed as I ran to him and he threw me in a big hug, I pumped on him and hanged my legs around his waist, he pecked my cheek before setting my feet back on the ground.

“I missed you, dad,” I said, and he patted my back “We miss you too darling,” my mom said as she pulls me into another hug and also patted my back.

“Let’s go inside,” said my dad as he gestured to us and turned back to the entrance.

I looked over to my friends who are a few feet away from us and seems like they are discussing something.

“Kiki” my mom called while moving towards Kiki who also met her half-way and pulled her also into another hug.

She placed her arm over Kiki’s shoulder while they walk to the door. I gestured to the guys to come inside.

My dad is sitting on his favorite leather couch while my mom took her seat beside him, I sat on the black and white spotted sofa opposite them while Kiki is sitting right beside me, and the guys are sitting on the two couch by the sides.

“Dad and mom, meet Bran, Fed, and Mathis,” I said using pointing to each of the guys with my right hand.

“Really nice to meet you Bran, Fed, and Mathis,” my dad said smiling at them while they replied “likewise sir” in sync.

“All thanks to your coach who hinted us on time, and we hope you are better now,” Mom said looking slightly worried “Yes, I am but how did it go about Kyle” I asked eagerly “We have him arrested already and our lawyer is doing what’s necessary to rectify everything back to normal” Dad explained “That is very good sir” Kiki commented while my dad smiled at her “We have to go now sweetie, as we have a lot of work to do so he won’t like to miss our night flight back” Mom broke the sad news as always.

I squeezed my face and looked at Fed who signaled to me to calm down and so also Mathis “Please take care of Norah,” dad said directing to the guys “Roger that sir” Fed replied while the burst into laughter “You all look like a mess” Mom remarked as she stood up and lifting her bag off the chair

“Do well to get yourself treated kids” Dad added as he stands up too, and they both start to make their way out of the door. We all followed close behind them and to the parking lot and we watched them as dad entered the driver’s seat and mom sitting next to him on the passenger’s seat.

I remembered Kyle’s word immediately dad started the engine and I really felt the need to know the truth.

“Dad, Mom, what happened to Kyle’s parents,” I asked while I observe a quick change on my dad’s face making him turn off the engine.

“Candy, his parents were truly dead, but they got killed because of their involvement with some big boys which we strongly advised my elder brother against” Dad explained sadly.

“But Kyle kept saying you killed them, so are you the big boys?” I asked

“No, we aren’t Norah, his parents asked us to keep the source of their death away from him which we did but the same big boys convinced him that we killed his parents few months before we sent him abroad” Mom further explained “How do you know this” Bran and Kiki asked in unison “Through our lawyer who gave us the information about the little interrogations he had with the police” Dad replied

“Hope we are good to go now?” Mom asked. She tapped dad to start the engine which he did, and they made their way out of the compound.

“What next” Bran asked excitedly as we watch my parent’s car zoom out of our site “Celebration of our big win” Mathis shouted happily while we all nodded.
