CHAPTER 20

We all went back inside, and we decided to have a little celebration. Fed and I decided to make chips while Kiki will make the fruity chapman. He would have loved to have some chicken fry, but it is late already, so we all agreed to make do with the available beef. Bran and Mathis are in charge of frying the beef using the frying machine.

“We need some music here,” Mathis said while Bran replied “Oh yes boo”

We all laughed while I went to my room to grab my Mp3 player and my phone. I connected my phone to the Mp3, and I decided to play “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran.

“I’m in love with the shape of you We push and pull like a magnet do Oh, my heart is falling too, I’m in love with your body…...”

Everyone started singing along and also making sure we concentrate on our cooking. After some minutes we were all done, and we ate to our satisfaction. We decided to check out some new movies on Netflix part and at last, we decided to watch Project Power.

I opened my eye slightly to see something so odd making me to jump out of the couch “Jesus!” I shouted waking Kiki and Fed on the floor where they are sleeping “just a prank,” Bran said laughingly as he removed the artificial cloth mask on his face I looked at others and I can say we all slept off in the sitting room yesterday.

“you all love like a mess,” Kiki said as she glances at everyone “Was that the reason why you and Mathis made out at midnight?” Fed asked winking at Kiki leaving Bran and me in awe.

“are you kidding me?” Bran asked smiling

“Probably in your dream” Mathis replied as Kiki dragged her towards the guest room

I quickly know Mathis was only trying to cover up for them, so it won’t be awkward for Kiki

“It isn’t a big deal guys even if it was real,” I said making Kiki to turn back and wink at me “Use Kyle’s room Fed, it is the second room on the right and the door code is 1234,” I said pointing over to the direction of Kyle’s room while he made his way up the stairs.

I signaled to Bran to follow me to my room which he did. I entered my door code which I have changed to Bran’s name some weeks ago. I jumped on my bed and rested my back facing up while Bran sat on the edge of the bed.

“hope we are good Norah” Bran asked

“Yes, we are” I replied immediately even though it feels like a lie.

I moved over to him and peck his forehead while he looked on.

We took our bath separately and I hand over one of my white and brown oversized Fendi shirts to Bran which he will wear over his maroon trouser he was wearing yesterday. I am wearing my black crop top with “supergirl” written on it and my navy blue ripped jean trouser. I styled my hair in a very high bun while Bran combed his hair forward, which looked nice on him.

“Norah” Bran said, and I turned around to our lips placed exactly on the other and he started kissing me. It went on for a few minutes before we heard a sound of clicking camera “pictures last longer”

We quickly let go of each other’s lips and turned to where the voice came from to see Fed standing right in front of us checking something on his phone and smiling.

“oh, you are done?” Fed asked showing us the picture of our kiss scene and smiled “delete that shit,” I said as I pushed him to the side and made my way out.

I got downstairs to see Mathis and Kiki busy with their phones in the sitting room.

“why the over seriousness” I asked making the both of them to look up at me “I guess you didn’t know what is going on,” Kiki said as she continues scrolling through her phone leaving me confused.

“Our results are out, and we can also start registering for our last high school year activities” Mathis explained “I am sure we all did well in the last examination,” I said as I make my way back to my room to grab my phone also.

“alright coach”, I finally replied as I ended my call with coach It is already 2 pm and we are all at the poolside, jesting and just having a nice discussion about our last year in school and how brilliant we performed in the last examination despite all that happened then.

“Coach?” Kiki asked “The competition is next week” I announced.

“Are we invited?” Mathis asked “I will be glad to have you all there having my back” I responded while they smiled “we will be” Bran assured.

“Christmas is in two weeks guys,” Fed said reminding everyone the year is almost over “We have to plan our Christmas and make it a fun-filled one guys” I suggested while others nodded.

“Let’s have it in Kiki’ place,” Mathis said “oh yes,” Bran said in agreement while we nodded.

Bran and I are back in my room; we were having a random discussion when I felt the need to use the toilet.

I was still inside the toilet when I heard the door shut. I quickly round up and went back to the room where Bran was nowhere to be found, I noticed the envelope on my bed, and I remember it was the envelope on the later Kia gave to me some weeks back in school. I went to my closet to look for the top on which I kept the small paper Kia gave me a few days ago in the hideout. I unfold the paper and I saw a sentence written: “Deliver my letter to Bran, my life is not safe”.

I knew I just fucked up, so I put on my flop and went downstairs.

“What is this Norah?” Bran asked looking as cold as ever.

“I can explain please” I begged

“This is my mother Norah, you kept this away from me and you couldn’t trust me over yours so how do you want me to trust you too?!” he yelled annoyingly “Calm down Bran,” Kiki said while Fed covered his face with his palm and Mathis looked so tired of everything going on around him.

“I feel betrayed and I think we should end this relationship right now,” Bran said His word got me startled where I was standing “what?!” Mathis and Kiki exclaimed in sync “You can’t do this Bran” Fed said moving towards Bran “too late Fed, I need some space from this relationship and her troubles. I love her but we are now friends for now” Bran said and started making his way out “Friend it is” I replied once I finally get back to myself and decided to give him what he wanted.

Bran finally left with my shirt and I am sure he will be waiting for Fed and Mathis in the car.

“I can’t believe this just happened,” Fed said “Kiki please you have to take care of Norah,” Mathis said looking worried.

“sure” Kiki replied making Mathis to look more satisfied

“see you later” Fed said as he pecks my forehead.

Fed and Mathis made their way out of the door while Kiki went over to lock the door before we make our way upstairs.
