CHAPTER 17
I rushed out of the ward to the reception.
“what the fuck happened to Norah!?” I yelled at a blonde Nurse that was talking to a lady sitting behind the table.
“Norah what?” the Nurse questioned looking confused “Williams fucking Norah” Fed replied from behind making me to turn around “she was moved to the Intensive Care Unit this morning” the nurse replied as she made her way past us.
Mathis moved closer to the table and banged it resulting in a very loud noise that attracted the attention of everyone around us.
“Will you explain what is going on here because she was just fine yesterday” Mathis yelled “she was perceived to be having internal bleeding in the midnight, thanks to Doctor Jane who kept eye on her in the midnight, so we have to move her to the ICU to do the necessary” a male doctor whose face I haven’t seen before explained.
“Hope she is stable now?” I asked “you don’t have to worry as we have everything under control” he replied We took our seats to rest a little from the quick psychological stress we just went through.
“you said the river is in a forest, right?” Fed asked referring to the GPS location of Kiki’s phone while I nodded “Let’s go to the cultists' hideout,” Mathis said jumping off the seat.
We went straight to the car, then used the seatbelt while I ignite the engine before making our way out of the hospital premises and now on our way to the hideout.
I pull up some feet away from the old, abandoned house while we walked towards the house. Everywhere was quiet and it seems there is no one in the place. We moved on to open the door anyway and carefully sneaked inside. We started moving from door to door to peep but no single soul was found and after searching the whole place we still couldn’t find Kiki.
“maybe she is not here,” Mathis said looking so worried and tired “fuck it!” Fed yelled angrily at no one in particular and kicked an empty can of coca-cola lying beside him against the nearest wall.
“Please don’t kill me,” a faint voice said immediately after the sound of the can against the wall went down.
“Kiki??” I called out but there was no reply We all looked around but still couldn’t see anyone and we have checked all the rooms earlier “can this be an illusion?” I asked not expecting a reply “Bran?” the faint voice replied anyways and right now I can tell it was Kiki’s “where are you?” I screamed while others started looking around “Here” she replied again We looked around again but still couldn’t find her and there was no more reply from her. Then Fed stood up to stand against the wall in a corner while Mathis covered his face with his right palm, and I was already losing it also.
“what the hell!” Fed shouted with surprise as he gestured to us to move closer to him Fed opened a very big bag placed on the wood close to him to reveal Kiki. She looked so pale with a swollen face and dry lips, her hair was scattered, and she is only left in her undies.
“Kiki” Mathis said as he rushed to her carrying her in a bridal style while Fed and I followed behind him as we make our way out.
“Open the damn door” Mathis yelled alerting us to open the door for him He dropped Kiki at the back seat while he sat beside her, Fed stayed at the front while I drive.
“I have a better taste in song” Fed said as he turns on the speaker

Mathis carried Kiki in his arm to his room after getting to my place and we have been administering some first aid treatments on her at least before going to the hospital if she feels like it.
“I have to get back to Norah and you both can stay home with Kiki,” I said picking up the car key again
“I will go with you” Fed offered while I nodded in agreement.
I handed over the key to Fed while I took the passenger’s seat beside him.
“Kyle?” Fed asked
“Drive straight to Norah’s place and hopefully if we can get to do somethings in the house” I suggested while Fed obeyed.

We pull up in Norah’s parking lot and her car attracted me making me miss her more and I also quickly glanced through other beautiful and expensive cars there especially the White 2019 model Benz. we went up to the door, but it was locked and no amount of knocking yielded a reply.
“Can you guess the door code?” Fed asked looking at me with some traces of hope on his face “how on earth will I be able to do that” I replied while he giggled.
“then we have to keep our eyes here,” Fed said before sending a let get the hell outta here signal to me.
We turned around and we noticed a tinted Burgundy Venza car approaching, Fed and I exchanged glances before we stopped on our tracks.
“Detectives here you are,” Kyle said as he stepped out of the tinted car, he was wearing a big hoodie, joggers, and a pair of black sneakers with a yellow beanie.
“em…. Em” Fed stammered
“Don’t be surprised, because right here I will explain what you are looking for” Kyle said looking as horrified as he can be “what? we actually came here for Norah” I said trying to give a reasonable excuse Kyle let out a very loud laughter while some voices also joined him making us to realize there are other guys in the car “Bran, were you not the superman in the hideout the other day?” Kyle questioned “What hideout?” I questioned looking confused “I forgot to do the proper introduction, so pardon me,” Kyle said as he signaled towards the car I looked at Fed who look as confused as he can be, and I am sure I have the same expression on my face too. A guy wearing black shorts and a pale blue sweatshirt with a red bandana tied on his head stepped out of the car.
“Leon?” Fed rumbled loud enough for the four of us to hear Kyle and Leon burst into laughter while Leon nodded with pride “He is our commander, the one wearing a mask that you almost killed the other day in the hideout. He is the Supreme Wolf of our gang” Leon explained patting Kyle gently on his shoulder.
“Whoa,” Fed and I said in sync with the highest level of surprise
“I know about Norah’s accident because I staged it with the help of Kia,” Kyle said “Whaaaaat? you mean our own very Kia?” I asked stammering as I turned over to Fed if he can hear everything too “is Kia also a cultist?” Fed asked “There is an answer for that, but who are you to know the details” Leon replied “So why will you want to kill your cousin?” I asked meeting eye with Kyle
“I am not planning to kill her, but I don’t want her to stop me from what I am about to do” Kyle paused.
“I know that you guys will be here also, and I have been monitoring everything going on around here since the accident and now I can uninstall the camera” Kyle concluded “Bravo” Fed said clapping
“I am going to kill you myself if anything should happen to Norah, you fucking betrayer” I yelled showing him my hand as I am getting more furious and angrier.
Kyle grinned and gestured to Leon while he also signaled towards the car “I am not a betrayer but an avenger of my parent’s death” Kyle yelled back.
Before we knew it two hefty guys lifted Fed and me off the ground and throw us inside the booth of the tinted Venza, stocking both of us in the booth in a very uncomfortable manner.
“Fuck you!” Fed screamed out before they shut the booth on us.
