Chapter 94 Chapter 45
Chapter 94 Chapter 45
At HxH Private Hospital, Mikael felt a mixture of joy and anxiety as he walked down the corridor toward Tyeron's room.
It had been almost two years since Tyeron fell into a coma. According to his doctor, only the life support machines had been keeping him alive. They had long since lost hope that he would wake up. If he ever did, it would be nothing short of a miracle.
That was why Mikael had hidden the truth from Lhalhaine. Aside from the fact that they couldn't reveal Tyeron's whereabouts, he didn't want to give her false hope.
But everything changed this morning.
Cyrex had called with unbelievable news.
Tyeron's fingers had moved the previous night, and he had regained consciousness that morning.
The moment he heard the news, Mikael and Heckson rushed to the hospital. Maximo and Meruem had also been informed. Since last year, Meruem had been living under a new identity and was working as the bodyguard of a wealthy businessman.
Mikael looked up when someone squeezed his shoulder.
"Nervous?" Heckson asked quietly.
Mikael let out a breath. "Yeah. You?"
Heckson gave a helpless shrug.
"I don't even know what I'm feeling right now."
They exchanged a nervous smile before Mikael slowly turned the doorknob.
Inside, Tyeron sat on the hospital bed while Cyrex stood beside him.
The moment their eyes met, silence filled the room.
"Ty..." Mikael and Heckson whispered in unison.
Tyeron smiled weakly.
"Hey..."
His lips were pale, his face noticeably thinner, and his hair had grown much longer.
For a moment, none of them knew what to say.
Then Heckson strode forward and wrapped Tyeron in a tight hug.
"You scared the hell out of us, asshole!"
Tyeron chuckled softly despite the pain.
"Don't ever do that again," Heckson muttered, his voice shaking with emotion.
Tyeron's gaze wandered around the room as though searching for someone.
"Where's Maximo?" he asked with a smile.
The question caught everyone off guard.
They had expected him to ask about Lhalhaine.
Instead, he asked about Maximo.
Mikael and Heckson exchanged uneasy glances before looking at Cyrex.
"Guys?" Tyeron frowned. "Where's Max? Why are you all so quiet? Did something happen?"
"Maximo's on his way," Mikael answered. "Don't worry."
"Then why didn't he come with you?"
"Because he's taking care of his twins," Cyrex replied gently.
Tyeron blinked.
"Twins?"
He looked genuinely confused.
"I thought he only had Elecxxon."
Before anyone could answer, Cyrex spoke.
"Let's talk outside."
His serious tone left no room for arguments.
Heckson walked out first, followed by Cyrex.
Mikael lingered for a moment.
Tyeron looked at him with confusion.
"What's going on?"
Mikael forced a smile.
"I'll be back."
Outside the room, Cyrex leaned against the wall while Mikael and Heckson waited anxiously.
"He has retrograde amnesia," Cyrex explained. "He's lost the memories he made over the last four years."
Both men froze.
"He doesn't remember anything that happened during that time... including how he met Lhalhaine."
Mikael clenched his fists.
"That's not fair! He deserves to know about Lhalhaine... about Throne." His voice rose with frustration. "He's a father now, Cyrex."
Heckson placed a calming hand on Mikael's shoulder.
"It's temporary... right?"
Cyrex sighed heavily.
"I don't know yet. We have to wait for the test results."
He looked back toward Tyeron's room.
"For now... let's keep this between us."
Two weeks later, the results finally arrived.
Temporary amnesia.
The doctors warned them not to pressure Tyeron into remembering.
Every time he tried to recall those missing memories, he suffered severe headaches, nosebleeds, and even fainting spells. If they pushed him too hard, he could fall into another coma.
As unfair as it was, they all agreed on one thing.
No one would mention Lhalhaine.
Not yet.
Monday morning.
Lhalhaine woke up early to open her small bakery.
Whenever she wasn't needed at the hotel where she worked, she spent her days baking cakes and cupcakes—something she had dreamed of doing for years.
Now that dream has finally come true.
As usual, she dropped Throne off at her sister Lara's house.
Maximo's twins were also there with their nannies, and since Lara had stopped working, she happily looked after all three children.
Lhalhaine trusted her sister more than anyone else.
For nearly two years, Lara had helped her hide Throne from their parents.
She simply wasn't ready to face their judgment.
Parking the car, Lhalhaine smiled as she glanced at her son through the rearview mirror.
"We're here, baby. Be good while Mommy's at work, okay?"
She walked around the car and opened the back door.
The moment Throne's feet touched the ground...
He ran.
"Throne!" she called. "No running!"
Laughing, the little boy dashed straight into the house.
Lhalhaine hurried after him.
The moment she entered the living room, she froze.
It wasn't only Lara inside.
Maximo and his friends were there too.
Her eyes instinctively counted them.
One...
Two...
Three...
Four...
Five...
Six.
Six?
Her heart skipped.
There should only be five.
Slowly, her gaze landed on the unfamiliar man standing beside Mikael.
He had his back turned toward her.
His hair was longer now.
Yet...
Something about him felt painfully familiar.
"No..."
She shook her head.
"It's impossible."
Tyeron is dead...
Before she could convince herself otherwise—
"D-Dada!"
Throne's tiny voice echoed through the room.
Everyone fell silent.
"Lyn?" Lara gasped, clearly surprised to see her arrive so soon.
The unfamiliar man bent down and picked Throne up.
"Hey, little guy," he said warmly. "You're adorable. What's your name?"
His voice...
Her heart nearly stopped.
"T-Throne," her son answered proudly before placing his tiny hand against the man's cheek.
Lhalhaine's eyes widened.
Throne had never done that to a stranger.
Only to her.
The man smiled.
"And where's your mommy?"
"M-Mommy."
Throne pointed directly at her.
Slowly...
The man turned around.
Time seemed to stop.
The world around her disappeared.
Those familiar eyes.
That face she had mourned for two years.
"Tyeron?"
Her voice broke into a whisper.
