Chapter 93 Chapter 44

Chapter 93 Chapter 44

Almost two years had passed since Tyeron left her.

A lot had changed, but her love for him remained the same. It never faded.

She had finally achieved her dream of becoming a chef at one of the hotels owned by her brother-in-law, Maximo. But that wasn't the only reason she kept moving forward.

She had someone more precious.

His little angel.

She had already given birth, and her son would soon turn two years old.

She named him Throne Vladimir Mandayog.

Her little prince.

Her life.

The reason she continued living.

She flinched when a tiny hand gently touched her cheek.

"M-Mommy... don't cry," the little boy said in his sweet voice.

Lhalhaine looked at her son.

He had inherited Tyeron's striking green eyes, his straight nose, his lips, and even the shape of his face.

Sometimes she felt a little upset because Throne hadn't inherited anything from her.

But most of the time...

She was grateful.

Whenever she looked at him, it felt as if Tyeron was still with her.

She watched as her little boy carefully wiped away the tears on her cheeks with his tiny hand.

"Don't cry, Mommy," he whispered before kissing her forehead.

Her tears fell even harder.

"Oh, Throne..." she whispered emotionally as she pulled him into a warm hug.

"I love you so much, sweetheart."

She kissed his chubby cheek over and over until he giggled.

That morning, she was preparing breakfast for herself and Throne when the doorbell rang.

She picked up her son and walked toward the front door.

As soon as she opened it, Mikael greeted them with his usual gentle smile.

"Dada!" Throne happily exclaimed, raising both arms.

Mikael chuckled before carrying the little boy.

"Did you miss me, little man?"

Throne nodded excitedly before wrapping his tiny arms around Mikael's neck.

Lhalhaine quietly watched the two.

From the day she found out she was pregnant until the day Throne was born, Mikael, Cyrex, Heckson, and Maximo had never left her side.

They had helped her through everything.

But Throne was especially close to Mikael.

The little boy had practically grown up around him, often staying at Mikael's condominium whenever he visited.

She never stopped them.

She simply smiled as she watched the two chatting happily at the dining table.

"Have you had breakfast yet?" she asked.

"If not, join us."

Mikael smiled.

"As always."

He returned his attention to Throne, making the little boy laugh.

The three of them ate breakfast together.

Mikael patiently fed Throne while listening to the little boy's endless babbling.

Lhalhaine quietly watched them.

Before she realized it, tears had begun rolling down her cheeks.

For a moment...

She wasn't looking at Mikael.

She was looking at Tyeron.

In her eyes, it was Tyeron smiling as he fed their son.

Tyeron laughing.

Tyeron talking to Throne.

It had become her illusion almost every night.

She knew it wasn't real.

She knew it was only because she missed him too much.

But she couldn't stop seeing him.

She blinked when Mikael's cellphone suddenly rang on the table.

He frowned after seeing the caller ID and immediately answered it.

His expression changed in an instant.

He quickly stood up.

"I need to go," he said absentmindedly.

Without another word, he hurried outside.

Lhalhaine followed him with her eyes until he disappeared from sight.

"M-Mommy..."

She looked down.

Throne was raising both of his tiny hands, asking to be carried again.

She smiled softly.

"My baby..."

She lifted him onto her lap and kissed his forehead.

Then she quietly stared at his little face.

"So much like your daddy..." she whispered.

She gently brushed his soft hair away from his forehead.

"I saw your daddy again, baby."

Her voice trembled.

"Only in my dreams."

She smiled bitterly.

"Why is it always like that? Is it because I miss him too much?"

Throne reached out and touched her cheek again.

"D-Don't cry, Mommy..."

She smiled despite the tears.

"I'm sorry, baby."

She hugged him tightly and closed her eyes.

"If you're trying to tell me something, Tyeron..."

She took a shaky breath.

"Please make it clear."

Her voice became almost a whisper.

"Don't make me worry like this."

She rested her forehead against Throne's.

"Tell me..."

"...Are you still alive?"

Or...

"Have you really left this world forever?”
