Chapter 177 Dekon And The Meeting
Chapter 177 Dekon And The Meeting
Bri
As we walk through the front door, I see several more people milling around the house. Some are stationed around the windows like they are guarding the house or something. I have to shake my head a bit at that. These people are so fucking clueless.
Eventually, they haul me down some stairs to what was probably at one time a basement, but it’s now been turned into a whole other floor of the house. We go down a hallway to the right, and she knocks on a door. I hear a voice I am way too familiar with, bid us enter.
When she opens the door, we are in the lab that I had seen on the video during the meeting. I don’t see the woman he had hooked up to all of the machines, so perhaps there’s another room or something, but he’s in a white coat, and there are different machines and computers set up on tables. There are also test tubes and beakers around different areas.
Dekon looks at me and smiles brightly like he thinks I’ll be delighted by his presence. I keep my parts back and make sure my Ilonian doesn't kill him yet. We need to get all of his people, plus find out what he might have stashed somewhere else, so we can end all of this completely. So, I’ll stall for just a bit.
“Briana, how delightful to see you again. I understand you have given birth, so congratulations on that. Now we will be able to properly use you for our purposes here. You have been the missing ingredient for all of my plans for a while now. So, at last I’ll be able to complete everything.” I try not to roll my eyes at his stupidity.
He looks to his people. “What about her mates, and did you check her over?”
Both of the people with me nod. “We patted her down thoroughly, and her mates had left her in the room alone with one other young female and the newborns. We were able to get her out the back of the clinic to the vehicle and get out before we were spotted by them or anyone else.” Dekon looks absolutely delighted to hear that.
He comes up to me, and I have to wrestle with my Ilonian part not to put up our shield to make him think we don’t have it anymore, so he’ll let his guard down. Now, if he tries to do anything sexual to me, all bets are off, and I’ll go ahead and rip his throat out. He just reaches out and pats my cheek. When my shield doesn’t come up, he smiles.
“I wasn’t absolutely sure if the blood of Torin would be a permanent impairment to your shielding abilities or not. With Dianna being able to bring you at all and you not protecting yourself or your infants from her gun, that gave me assurance, but now, my being able to touch you tells me I was correct. So, now that you are not able to fight against me, tonight we will induct you into the family as the missing ingredient for our soldiers. Then you will help me create the perfect race to secure our victory and domination. I knew I would succeed and that you would help me.”
I have to push myself not to pull up the shield and let him think all of this bullshit. My Ilonian is growling in my head. I am relaying all of this to my mates as well, and they are livid. I tell them to gather everyone together, especially our new hybrid friends, to go to this meeting. We should be able to get all of his followers along with him and end this.
Dekon looks at the two of us. “Take her to her room and lock her in so she can rest. After all, tonight will be rather taxing as she just gave birth.”
I feel my arm grabbed, and again, I have to fight to keep the shield down, but I manage it as I am dragged to another room down here and pushed inside. I hear a lock on the door click and roll my eyes. As I think there are probably cameras in here, I have to be careful what I do or say.
I use the bathroom and wash my hands while I talk to Allen and Armond, “I am fine, guys. He’s stupid, and he thinks the Andalonian blood he gave me before permanently disabled my shield, and I’ve let him think that. Now, they are going to take me to some meeting where they will do this whole bad guy, dominate the world bullshit. Just keep me tracked and get everyone to my location when I tell you we are leaving for the meeting.”
I hear Allen growl, “I don’t like this shit, Bri. The only reason I am not dragging you out of there and beating your ass is that I know this is our best shot at killing him.” I smile at that.
Armond echoes, “I second that, but I reserve the right to still spank your ass for this shit when you get home.” I can’t let myself laugh in case they can see or hear me in here, but it’s a struggle.
They end up bringing me a sandwich and some bottled water. I sip carefully until I know for sure there is nothing added to the water, and still tread lightly with all of the food and drink. I can finish it after a while with no ill effects, but I wasn’t willing to risk him putting me to sleep or some shit like that.
The sun has just set, and it’s getting dark when they come for me. This time there are five of them. The girl from before, along with her driver guy, and then three more guys, and all of them have guns. I don’t say or do anything, just follow them out of the room as they surround me.
They led me out of the house and to another SUV. This one is one of those extended ones we have, so there is room for all of us to fit. I let Armond and Allen know we are leaving, and they let me know they have my tracker signal and are following us.
There is a giant barn-looking building that we pull up to. There are other vehicles around as well. When we enter the building, I immediately see Samaria, Selenia, Elijah, and Joshia around the room. I slightly nod, showing them I have seen them. So they were able to get into position because they have been with previous meetings. I was glad our idea of spies has worked so well now.
Now, finally, it is time to end Dekon and all of this bullshit.
