Chapter 175 Bouncing Baby Boys

Chapter 175 Bouncing Baby Boys
Bri

I am currently pacing the bedroom. I have tried sitting down, but it works for a bit, and then I need to get up and move. When I woke the guys up at first, they were freaked out, and then I reminded them that this takes a bit, so it wasn’t happening in the next five minutes. We waited to call the in-laws until after six am knowing that the kids would be awake soon.

By now I was having more trouble, and I was a bit afraid for them to see me in pain like this. I was worried it might really upset them. So, my mothers-in-law were heading over to take care of them while my mates took me to the clinic. We had contacted Dr. Mitchell’s office, and she had said to either head over when contractions were five minutes apart or if I needed some pain medication. This was driving me right now.

Once the moms got there, they hugged me and encouraged me, and then Armond and Allen got me to the SUV and helped get me buckled in. It took us almost no time to get to the clinic, which I was very thankful for. Half of my enforcers had followed us and were now going to be guarding the clinic, while the other half made sure the babies back at home and my mothers-in-law were safe.

When the anesthesiologist showed up and gave me an epidural, I was very happy. He said he’d have to come back and adjust the level as I would burn through the medication fairly quickly. Evidently, supernaturals were harder to give pain medication to, including epidurals. I had somewhat remembered that from when I’d had the triplets, and they had to give me one for the cesarean.

So, now I was in bed to stay while getting the medication. The babies were being monitored, as was I. I was just glad not to be feeling the contractions anymore. Those sons of bitches hurt. I think my mates were happy to not be seeing me in pain anymore either. They stayed by me and got me anything I needed.

Right now, Armond was holding my hand and gently stroking the back, while Allen was propped up on the side of the bed beside me, running his fingers through my hair. I was actually able to doze some as I wasn’t in pain and I’d been up most of the night before, and my tiredness was catching up to me. Besides, once the babies were here, sleep would become extremely elusive, so better catch a nap now while I could.

When I suddenly started to feel more pressure and the subtle need to push, I let the guys know. They, in turn, lost their damn minds and let everyone in the entire clinic know. Not really, but it felt like that. The nurses were laughing at them the whole time.

Dr. Mitchell got here and checked me, and declared I was ten centimeters, and baby one was right there, and so it looked like I was ready to have some babies. They got the room set up, and everyone outfitted, and the warming bassinets ready.

Then both Allen and Armond held onto my hands and helped me to push. The first baby took about thirty-five minutes to push out, and then he was placed on my abdomen. I cried as I helped to clean him off, and he screamed his protest at being evicted from my womb. The nurses came and took him over to clean him up and check him out as I still had another baby to get out.

Baby boy number two was quicker with his exit and only took about twenty minutes to push out. Then he joined his brother with his vocal protests, although he wasn’t quite as vocal when they placed him on me. I helped to clean him some and marveled at him before the nurses came and took him to clean him up more and check him over.

They brought baby one over to me wrapped in a blanket with a little cap, putting him in my arms. He was still fussing a bit, but not vigorously crying anymore. Once I got him up against my chest, he seemed to calm down. He just looked at me, and I just gazed back. He was beautiful, and I was automatically completely in love with him.

His brother soon joined him, and then we were passing them around, marveling over their perfection. The doctor and nurses declared them perfectly healthy. Then they got us into a room to spend some family time together. We’d stay overnight and go home in the morning just so they could monitor all of us overnight.

When everything settled down, we held them and finalized the names for both. As we’d stuck with the whole alphabet thing, we named them Forrest and Gabriel. They weren’t identical, and honestly I was thankful for that.

We had discovered they still had very strong opinions about their fathers and me letting them go. Once, when I went to put Forrest in the medical bassinet by my bed, there was suddenly a shield surrounding him, holding him to my chest, and I wasn’t able to put him down. We shook our heads and just went with it because, honestly, what else were we supposed to do?

I had needed to go to the bathroom, so Allen had helped me while Armond held Gabriel. I held little Forrest to my chest with one hand while my other mate helped me be able to use the bathroom. They were laughing, and I was chuckling.

“Well, Forrest, it seems you had an idea that you weren’t ready for mommy to put you down. However, I will tell you that it is going to be very hard to have you do that when I have three other babies I need to take care of in the form of your siblings. Also, going to the bathroom one-handed is rather awkward there son. He seemed to completely ignore me. We’d have to see how much of a problem this became.

Samaria came by the next morning just to say hi and bring me some breakfast. She was on her way back to the house. She’d been helping Sean in the IT department quite a bit. She’d been doing a project last night but was done now. When she’d heard the babies were born, she couldn’t help herself and came to see them. I was happy with the food she brought me as well.

With her here, Allen and Armond had both just left the room, one to get the car, and the other to grab the rest of the paperwork, including the twins’ birth certificate forms, when a nurse walked into the room. I noticed two things. One, she was human, and two, she was holding a gun. Samaria and I both froze.
