She smiled up at him and for a moment the Lucy he had fallen in love with shone through again. She clapped her hand and leaned further over the edge of the small airboat he had rented to take them on a tour of the large lake. She looked over her shoulder at him, clapping her hands.
“Oh my Goddess, there’s 4 of them.”
She kicked her shoes off and he grabbed her wrist.
“What are you doing?” he asked, panic clear on his face.
“I’m going to swim with them.”
“No! Lucy, those are fucking alligators.”
She raised an eyebrow at him. “I’m a dragon. They should be more afraid of me, Hesha would devour them.”
“But-”
She pulled him closer and pressed her lips against his. He groaned as he moved closer to her, deepening the kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck and threw herself backward over the edge of the boat, taking him with her. They hit the water and rolled. He quickly swam to the surface, sputtering for air while she moved around him in circles. He glared at her.
“Are you insane?!”
She giggled and splashed him. “Come on, Josh. Play with me.”
He groaned but nodded. “Lead the way.”
She swam towards the large reptiles eagerly while he followed behind her more slowly, letting Apollo’s scales cover his body for protection. The gators watched them curiously before one of them sped toward her with a flick of its powerful tail. He tensed but relaxed when Hesha’s scales covered her arms. The gator stopped a few feet from her and let its body sink beneath the water as it studied her. She slowly reached out and uttered an excited cry when it let her run her hand down its body.
“Oh, my Goddess!”
He watched its eyes close as she scratched along the scutes on its back. She looked at Josh in awe.
“Come feel. He’s so hard.”
He carefully moved through the water to pet the large predator that he knew could take his hand off if it really wanted to. He blinked in surprise before smiling at her.
“He’s bigger than I thought.”
She giggled but made her way toward the other three who cautiously approached her. In no time they were all swimming around each other. Josh swam with them for a little while before crawling out onto the small beach a few dozen yards from them to watch his mate enjoy the gators. She spun through the water and they followed her like little puppies. When she finally collapsed next to him, the gators all took places around her with the biggest one's head on her lap. She stroked its snout, happily cooing to him.
“That was so much fun! Thank you.”
He turned to study her face. “I was going to do this later, but I can’t wait.”
He took her hand when fear leaped into her eyes, earning a growl from the gators. He rolled his eyes.
“Over the last few months, I have watched you grow, Lucy. I have watched every move and heard every word.” His finger rubbed over hers. “I was so wrong about not trusting you. I was wrong about having doubts and I’m sorry. I have fallen more in love with you every day. I love how you are with our children. I love how you are with me. I love how you enjoy life, taking all the bad along with the good and keep pushing forward. I love your passion. I love your intelligence. I love your ability to see everyone and everything around you. I love how quick you are to smile and how your eyes light up when you’re happy.”
He cupped her face as he leaned close to kiss her. “I just simply love you. I know I have so much to prove to you still, but please, I am begging you. Be my wife, Lucy. Let me have forever to show you. Let me be what you need. Only what you need from me. No more trying to be someone I’m not. No more trying to replace Amerald. I want us to work this out. I want him to be a part of our lives. All of our lives. Mine and more importantly our children’s and yours. I want you to be happy and as long as you are, then so will I.”
Her hand trembled in his. “W-what are you saying?”
He met her eyes as he lifted her hand to his mouth to press a kiss onto each of her knuckles.
“I’m saying that I want us to be a family. All of us. It’ll be a weird family but one I think would blossom and succeed with you as our driving force.”
“A family…,” she whispered as her eyes closed. “With you and Amerald?”
He kissed her fingers again. “Yes, baby. With me, Amerald and our children. I hate the sadness in your eyes. I want to erase it. Please, I’m begging you. Please, let me.”
She threw her arms around his neck. “Oh, Josh. I’d really like that,” she sobbed.
He buried his face in her wet hair. “Be my wife, Lucy, and let me fix this for you. For us. All of us.”
She nodded. “I’ll be your wife.”
He leaned back, smiling at her. “I’ll have to give you the ring when we get back to the hotel. I was going to do this at dinner.”
She kissed him softly. “It’s okay. I liked this more anyway.”
He put his forehead against hers. “I love you, Lucy. Let’s go to dinner and then go back to Dragão. I think it's way past time we spoke to Amerald.”
She bent down to kiss the gator’s head before shifting him off of her to get up. She opened a portal and beamed at him.
“After you, sir.”
He groaned as his cock hardened. “I kinda like it when you call me that.”
She inhaled deeply and her eyes turned darker as her arousal grew. “Maybe we make love in the shower and then go to dinner.”
He picked her up and her legs immediately wrapped around his waist as she kissed his neck.
“Call me sir again and I promise to join you in the shower.”
She leaned back and slowly licked her lips. “Fuck me, please, sir,” she purred.
He groaned as he stepped through the portal. “Your wish is my command, wifey.”
