Chapter 161

"Why does it seem like you don't want me around anymore?" Chris's loud voice rang into my left ear and I winced in pain, I was sitting right next to him and he was shouting as if I was far away. "I didn't say that, you were the one who said it," I said, shrugging my shoulder as I surfed through the channels, bored by his unwanted presence in my house. "You certainly did not say you want me to stay either," he answered back with a bit of sass in his voice, I formed my lips in a thin line to stop myself from laughing. Chris has already been a pain in the neck, I imagine that he will cause more annoyance when he knows that I don't want him anymore.

Well, it's not like I no longer care, but I'm just tired of him ruining my life, leaving and coming back into my life as he likes. Chris needs to know that actions have consequences, he has a family with Elenor but he keeps coming back here to act all happy with me. I'm disgusted by his actions, ever since his wife shot my father, I haven't been happy with him ever since. This man doesn't care about my feelings, he keeps coming back because he feels like he has control over my life.

"I told you I want to be alone, there's nothing with wanting some time alone," I said releasing a sigh, I'm so tired I can't even think with him crowding my space like this. "You want some time alone? This is the first time that you mentioned this to me. Some time alone til when?" he asked, throwing his hands in the air in irritation. "I will see as time goes by, I wouldn't forever though," I said quickly as I stood up and walked to the kitchen, avoiding him having an outburst about what I just said.

"April, please just me a chance to fix things. I know I have done some messed up things in the past but I would like for you to forgive me so we can move past those things and build our future without you bringing it up and fighting." I immediately scoffed and turned to look at him in disbelief, this man is seriously saying this to me. "I don't believe what you are saying right now, you want me to forget about all the things that you did? How could I? You are married

For fuck's sake! To some strange woman that shot my father. I don't want to be aggravated please, just leave."

"I didn't mean to remind you of anything painful," he said his mouth agape in shock, I rolled my eyes, feeling annoyed why the hell was he shocked, maybe none of the things that I mentioned to him sounded familiar. "You know the worst part is even after everything that happened including my father getting shot, you did nothing about it," I said poking him in the chest with my finger, that makes me feel angry because he could've at least stood up for me to his wife and did something about his wife but he just chose to act like its, not his fault.

"You were lucky enough to see me grow, you had so many roles in my life and you miserably failed all of them. You were my father, and that didn't go so well I got abducted while living under your care." I said raising my index finger and counting how many roles he had in my life, "You were supposed to be my mate, I won't explain what happened because we both know what happened but you failed that too. I could go on the whole day but I don't want to waste my time with you so please do me a favor, leave." I said turning to avoid looking at his pitiful face, I am in no mood to be feeling sorry for anyone but myself. "Okay, fine. I will leave you on your own so you can get your own space but please promise me that you will call me when you need me."

I stopped mid-way as he said that and sat down on the kitchen stool, "Chris, I don't owe you anything so I don't have to promise you anything." I said looking at him with a bored look, pretending like I didn't care as I had been doing the past few days. He sighed as he slowly walked towards me and gave me a side hug kissing my forehead, how badly I just wanted to rip his balls out of their sack at that moment could never be explained. I mean how can someone claim to love you to forsake you and go marry someone else, it's exactly what my mother did to me, I don't blame Chris I think I blame the moon-goddess she fucked my life upon.

He left and I sighed in relief, my body relaxing and my mind. I never thought someone could be destined to be all alone but I think the moon-goddess made a mistake when creating my love life or thought it would be funny that I ended up alone. This is a bit nuts, it doesn't make sense. When a person doesn't have the love of their life they usually have their families supporting them and the part that doesn't make sense is why do I have none of these support systems? I walked back to the living so I could watch Netflix and chill alone, I winced in pain as I threw myself on the couch forgetting about the bullying that happened yesterday.

I spent hours indoors feeling sorry for myself and doing a lot of self-introspection, I finally got up from the couch to prepare supper and I realized I had no food in the house. 'Why is it that I am only noticing now that I don't have any food here? when was the last did I eat?' I murmured to myself in confusion as I searched through every cabinet in the house and nothing but junk food and I couldn't eat that. My phone rang snapping my mind out of this, I took it out of my pocket confused about who could be calling at this time. It had no caller name but I picked It up.

"You didn't come to see me today, what happened? you know I can't live without you." I immediately could tell that it was my brother's voice, I laughed wholeheartedly feeling warm as I heard his voice. "Hey, buddy. I'm sorry, I miss you too." I fought back the tears as my heart ached knowing the real reason I couldn't visit him. Tyson and I have been close ever since the first day we met and now we can't even see each other because of the same person who should be keeping the family together, I don't think I can ever be able to forgive her. "Hey, don't go all soft on me, I'm not used to that." I laughed at his craziness, "I just missed you that's all, and I am very happy to hear your voice nothing major." I said smiling to myself happy, sitting on the kitchen table chair. "The thing about not being used to affectionate siblings, the moment they start showing you love, you get shocked," he said laughing, I was about to reply when I heard some shuffling and whispering from his side.

"Anyway I was calling you because there's someone who wants to talk to you," Tyson said in a low uninterested voice, my heart quickened I couldn't tell if it was fear or excitement. "Why can't she speak for herself?" I asked in a low shaking voice, I don't like how weak and terrified she makes me feel. "Who said this person is a 'she'?" Tyson asked with a bit of sass in his voice, I rolled my eyes at the drama. "Stop being dramatic, we both know who wants to talk to me and I hope she wants to apologize for what she did. If she is not going to apologize, I am not interested in anything she has to say." I said as I got off the chair and walked around the room unable to stay still.

"Okay, are you coming now or?" I shook my head in response before I realized he couldn't see me, "No, I have to go grocery shopping today and it's already like 5 pm I still have to cook." I said trying to come up with any excuse to avoid seeing her today, we said our goodbyes and disconnected the call. I grabbed my car keys and quickly headed to town to get some food before it got late, I tried to avoid being out this late because of Chris's wife. I drove into the store's parking lot and they already looked like they were packing so they could close in a few minutes. I quickly turned off the ignition and got out of my car cursing, I closed the door to rush to the store and my face collided with someone's chest.

That scent, I could already tell that this was a man by the kind of scent he carried with him. I looked up and he was smiling down at me with his hand softly lingering on my waist to hold me from falling. I have never seen anyone this handsome before, this man is an angel walking on earth.
