CHAPTER 157
I paced up and down in the kitchen, racking my brain trying to come up with one sane reason why is everything happen all at once, I understand pure bad luck but this beyond it. Bad luck happens to one person, bad luck does not follow the whole family. I looked up the stairs expecting to see the doctor rushing down the stairs going home, I need to speak with my family urgently without the presence of a stranger in our home. I sighed as the doctor was still attending to my father and Taylor, this probably way too much for how much he is getting paid to do. I heard a pair of foot steps rushing down the stairs and I quickly looked up stopping in my tracks, he walked down with carrying what I think its suppose to be his medical bag.
"Hey, April. They are going o be okay, don't worry. Go up there and check on them, you will drive yourself craze with all the overthinking." He said as he smiled and brushed my shoulder. He definitely likes me, he might even like me more than I like him. He just brushed my shoulder the second time in one day, lets not forget his soft long fingers lingering on my waist. I smiled and nodded at him, somewhat actually convinced that he is one male is who has the ability to be truthful. "Thank you, Doc." I said feeling weird by addressing him in a professional manner. I just wish he would tell me his name and give me the permission to un-dress him unprofessionally.
"There's no need for the formalities-" oh my gosh, he must've read my mind, no ways. "You can call me Nathan." he said as he gave one lusty look, followed by a sexy curve of his soft lips, a smirk. He walked away without saying anything else, he didn't have to. I stood there clunching my hands in my chest in shock, he just smirked at me, this guy definitely wants some of this and I am sorry to disappoint but i'm giving him some. "Oh my gosh, that just gave me goosebumps." I whispered to myself turning to look at the door that he just exited on, that just gave me bad boy vibes. I think I just got myself a bad boy here, if I was at my house I would've been squeling and jumping up and down in happiness. "He definitely likes me." I whispered as I walked up the stairs to check on my family.
"Santa came early this year?" Tyson asked as pointed his finger on my chest stopping me from walking, I looked at him with confusion on my face. "You are smiling, it's too bright, and very rare from you. So did he come early and gave you your good behavior present?" He asked perstering me, I smiled shrugging my shoulders at him. "Oh gosh, you can't even talk. You better wipe that ridicuolous smile from your face before Mom wipes it for you." I nodded my head, "You are still smiling." he said looking at me, I laughed and pushed his finger away so I can continue with my route. Tyson is so irritating but I am glad this time I didn't get angry at him for being annoying, I wonder why.
"I walked into our parent's room, Mom was sleeping besides Dad all cuddled up and Taylor was standing in the middle of the room staring at them while they slept peacefully. "What are you staring at? " I asked Taylor as I walked towards her, I was expecting her to turn around as soon as she heard my voice and make some kind of excuse that she was just admiring them, she didn't. "Taylor," I said calling her name standing a few feet away from her, I decided not too close because she seems not hersef she might do something stupid. She turned and looked at me for a minute with a face clear of any emotions, I stood there also staring at her but I tried my best to read her and understand what she was going through at that moment. She stared at me, turned her vision to the door and walked right past me to the door. I turned to look at her intent on following her until she regains conciousness, she looked like she was sleeping walking or something.
As she walked out of the room I noticed that she is not walking towards where the stairs are located, she was walking straight to the handrails, I screamed at I ran after her. I was too late, she jumped over the handrails and threw her body to the floor. I covered my eyes with my hands scared, i've never been that scared in my life. I felt my body giving out on me and I fell to the floor unable to breath. I crawled to the handrails to confirm what I just saw, I saw her body laying in an awkward position and I cried my heart out. Mom and Dad looked to see what I was crying about and Mom screamed running down the stairs probably thinking she can still save her. I turned and laid on my back to breath better, I kept asking myself questions that were only dragging me to the same position.
Dad got up from his wheelchair and slowly approached me, I looked at him in desperation feeling like he could change all of this and say it's all a dream that we can wake up from. "She's dead?" I asked tears running down my face and he sat next to me and looked at me with so much pain on his face, I felt my heart break for him. I sat up and looked at him, we looked at each nothing as said nothing. He wasn't in my head but we were both having a silent conversation, I could hear Mom scream downstairs and it felt like all I could do is cry. And I did exactly that, I cried, cried, and cried until I couldn't not because tears weren't there I had to stop because of the splitting headach that I had.
I heard the sound of sirens approaching our house, while I held on to Dad and cried. Why didn't I shake her so she can snap out of it, why didn't I wake them up to witness this? Why did she do it after staring at me?
