Chapter 81

Emeralds POV

So far I loved every thing about the house. It was very black and white but that’s okays because it looked like how I had my apartment. I didn’t have much color either. I only had accent colors. The whole house gave me vibes of a bachelor but it still to me was comfy and cozy. I don’t understand what Cherise was talking about. The house looked so modern that it didn’t give me secret passage vibes at all. It did give me a sense though of loneliness but being alive for so long it would give off that sense. His front yard and back yard was beautiful too. His front yard was right about against what looked like the ocean with the cleanest sand ever. While his back yard had grass that was so green and lush that I even took off my sandals. There was an outdoor kitchen that had a pavillion. The pool was a simple rectangle but on one side had a a huge rock built in with a hidden grotto. There was a water slide built into the rock and a rope swing that looked like it was hooked up to a real tree branch.

Theo was lazing on the shallow end of the pool. “Hey sexies.”

“Hey Theo.” We all said politely.

“So what did you think of his place darling?” Asked Theo as we walked closer over to him.

“It’s beautiful.” I said. “Everything about it I love.”

“That’s good. Anything else?” Asked Theo.

I was a little confused by his question. “I love his house. I could see myself being here full time. I would just need an office to work from as well as to be able to visit my actual office and building once in a while. But we have plenty of time to discuss that.”

“I’m so glad. I told him I knew he would be the first sexy to find his significant other. He just didn’t believe me. But I knew it. I mean look at him, mmm scrumptious.” Theo said.

Jeremy rolled his eyes. Cherise, Tanya, Ryder and I cracked up.

“Well, aren’t you?” He asked.

“I guess.” Said Jeremy.

“Cherise doesn’t even call me scrumptious.” Laughed Ryder.

“That’s because you don’t give off scrumptious vibes. You give off vibes of being a bad boy warrior. Like you can fight for me anytime sweetie.” They said waving his fingers at Ryder.

We laughed super hard as Ryder’s mouth dropped open and we all cracked up with laughter even Jeremy.

“Okay okay.” Said Ryder with a harumph.

I laughed as Theo wasn’t done. He then said, “I need a dip in the pool to cool me down after being around some these two sexy beasts.”

He then jumped in from the shallow end making a huge splash.

I laughed as then Ryder jumped in along with Cherise yelling, “Wait for me!”

Tanya decided to lay on a chair and sun bathe.

Jeremy kept his arm around me and walked me over to the outdoor kitchen. He turned the tv on to some football game. I watched him as he opened the grill and started it up.

“It still amazes me that you know how to cook so well.” I said.

“I’m glad it impresses you.” He said as he spun the tongs around in his hand.

“Like is there anything you’re not good at?” I asked.

“Not really.” He said.

I laughed, “Of course not.”

“So you really do love the house though?” He asked again.

I looked at him and noticed he really cared about my opinion. He looked even worried that I was going to hate his house and not want to be here with him I never have seen him nervous or scared but there’s a first for everything.

“I really do love it. Like I said as long as I can have home office to do everything I still need to do for my job. Then I’m a happy camper. I don’t want to give up my career. It something I worked really hard to achieve.” I explained.

“That an easy fix. I can add or change any room in the house whenever I want.” He said.

“I’m glad to hear that.” I said. I really felt really honored and cherished with the way he was trying to do anything to make me happy. He was trying to accommodate my worries and fears to make sure I had none. I don’t really have any that I knew of. I couldn’t believe how much he wanted me to feel like this is home to me too.

“I want you to be comfortable too. So if you decided to stay here I would obviously make sure that you felt at home. If you wanted to change the colors then we can do that too. I have no problem with that. I want my home to be your home too.” He said.

“Thank you. I appreciate that. I like that you are very accommodating. Lucky with me I have just a lap top so I can pretty much work everywhere and anywhere with it.” I explained.

“That’s good. I mean obviously I would take you back and forth if needed. I have no issue with that. I’m at your service for the time being if that is what you decided. I also don’t want to take away that independence from you. I want to make sure you’re not always stuck here you know.” He explained.

“I get it. I do. I understand the decision at hand and you know me. I’m willing to make a list about the pros and cons of the decision.” I said.

“I am happy with that. That’s all I wanted to hear.” He said.

“Thank you for understanding.” I said and gave him a hug around the waist. “I appreciate it and I will let you know of my decision either by the end of the night or in the morning.”

“Then just let me know whenever you come to a conclusion. But right now I was going to make ribs if anybody is hungry for some. I know that they are but are you ready for some ribs?” He asked me.

My stomach growled loudly, embarrassing me.

“I’ll take that as a yes.” He said.

“Thank you.” I said politely then let go.

He started to unwrap the ribs that looked like they had been in the fridge marinating. “The rub smells fantastic.”

“I make my own so thank you.” He said and actually seemed proud of it. He always seemed proud of his cooking.

“You know what? You could have your own cooking show.” I said.

“You really think so?” He asked.

“Yeah. I mean, you actually cook. It would be amazing but maybe because you’re a god and you don’t age, you can start your own cookbooks.” I suggested.

“That would be an awesome idea. I never thought about it but I do love to cook. I think it’s fun to do.” He said.

“Right. So a book would be the way to go.” I said.

“And depending on how many recipes you come up with, if it tends to be too many, we can always make up different alias for future talk.” I said.

“Those business ideas are always brewing, aren’t they?” He asked.

“Yep. My brain is one big business convention.” I laughed.

“I could see that.” He said.

He gave me a kiss then turned back to cooking. I kept him company so he wouldn’t have to be by himself. I wanted to make sure I was at his side loving him and making sure I was there to be by his side. I would feel awful if he was the only one cooking while the rest of us had fun in the pool.
