Chapter 213 Abducted II
Chapter 213 Abducted II
Heaven’s body began to shake. She headed for the door to go call Maverick; another text entered.
COME TO THE THIRD AVENUE ALONE. IF YOU PLAY ANY TRICKS, HE DIES
Then there was a video with a knife tracing Liam’s skin.
Heaven covered her mouth with her hand.
“My son… my Liam…” she mumbled countless times.
She called the number; there was no response. Then she texted.
Who the fuck are you?
The bubbles appeared, indicating a message on the way.
Your time is ticking. If I were you, I’d be on my way. Devil face emoji
Heaven didn’t change into thick clothes; she ran out of the room. In the hallway, she collided with Bianca. She didn’t bother apologizing. Bianca frowned, looking at her. She was always the cool and nice type.
Heaven took a car and drove off immediately. She broke into tears. All her thoughts were that she would do anything so Liam doesn’t get hurt.
Havilah opened her eyes. She saw a ceiling that wasn’t familiar. She was lying on a soft bed with a plush teddy beside her. She sat up. Then she remembered they were in the haunted house before. She looked around and didn’t find Liam.
She walked out of the room. A delicious aroma wafted into her nose. She followed the scent.
“Mummy?”
Eva turned. She turned off the gas.
“Avi!” she called, elated. The little girl ran and hugged her mother.
“I missed you, mummy.”
“I missed you too. I told you if you be a good girl and obey mommy, we can be together again.” She lifted Avi off the floor. She dropped kisses on her face.
“Is daddy here?” Havilah asked with bright eyes. A glint flashed in Eva’s eyes. “Not yet, but he is on his way here.”
Havilah looked around as if she was searching for someone.
“See, I made you your favorites. Come eat.”
She set her on the stool and kept a plate of food in front of her.
“Mummy, where is Liam?”
“I sent him home,” she said, smiling.
“Mummy, is Uncle Killian well now?” she said.
“You ask a lot of questions. Just eat your food,” Eva scolded her.
Havilah blinked.
Eva sighed. She cupped her cheeks. “I’m sorry, baby… he is in a good place now.”
Her phone rang again. She giggled at the call, but she didn’t take it.
A message followed.
I am at the third avenue. Where is my son?
If you are there, look left. You will see a black van. Get in, the driver will take you to your precious Liam.
Eva danced around the room. Maverick dared to leave her; he would lose everything he held precious. If she couldn’t have him, then Heaven shouldn’t.
Avi looked out of the transparent wall, and it was tall trees. She stared at her mother.
Maverick brought back the car that was safe for Heaven to drive when his phone rang.
“Sir, little master and little miss are missing,” the voice came quickly and urgently.
“What? What do you mean my kids are missing? FIND THEM!!” Maverick roared.
Boyle and Bianca paused when they heard Maverick roar. They were about to step out.
“What’s wrong?” Boyle asked.
“The kids are missing.” Maverick opened the car door to get in.
Bianca’s face scrunched up. “Was that why she left in a hurry?”
Maverick paused. His eyes moved to the place her car was always parked; it wasn’t there.
He entered the car and drove off. Boyle and Bianca followed after.
He got to the amusement park. The bodyguards had already sealed off the entire place. The park guides were searching, screaming Havilah and Liam’s names.
“When were they last seen?” he asked the guard.
“Sir, I went with them into the haunted house. There were so many kids running, then I lost them. When I went back to check, they were nowhere to be found.”
Maverick grabbed his collar. “One simple task—look after my kids—and you couldn’t do it?”
“Maverick, calm down. The main issue is to find them,” Boyle said. Maverick’s grip loosened.
“Where’s Heaven?” he asked the servant.
“I haven’t seen the young madam, sir.”
He brought out his phone to call her, but he saw there was already a voice message from her.
“Maverick, someone took Liam,” she said, crying. “They tied him up and said they would kill him if I told anyone. I’m on my way to Third Avenue to bring him home… Please find us.”
Maverick’s eyes dilated. He saw red. Boyle had listened to the voice note with him.
“They are not here,” Boyle said. He turned to the guards. “Everyone move to Third Avenue. Cover every house and find them now!!”
Maverick’s car had already zoomed off. He kept calling her number, and it went to voicemail. He remembered he could track her car, and he followed it. His heart thudded against his chest; his body trembled.
He passed through every red light. The streets blurred because of his speed. He only stopped when he saw her car.
But it was empty, and her phone was inside the car. Maverick kicked the car door several times. He used his fist to smash the windscreen.
“Maverick, they are searching…”
“She’s pregnant…” Maverick’s vision blurred. “Boyle, my whole world is missing…” he said as he squatted.
“Father, Heaven and the kids are missing. She is pregnant. We need your help. We could make use of the military facilities. The last place she was seen was at Third Avenue…” Boyle swung into action. Bianca took the phone from him. “Sir, the streets are fully covered with CCTV. It would be of great help.”
Eva sat, brushing her daughter’s hair. Her phone beeped.
Boss, we are here
She got up.
“Mummy, is daddy here now?”
“Not yet. Go play in the room. Mummy is busy now. I’m preparing a surprise for daddy. He will be happy when he comes and won’t have a reason to leave us. Okay, baby?”
“Okay, mummy.”
Eva opened the door. There was a man with a big black sack slung over his shoulder. Eva walked majestically outside, and he followed her. She opened a room packed with different old stuff. The man entered and dropped the sack. He removed it, and Heaven lay there with her hands tied behind her back, legs tied together.
“Balance,” the man said.
Eva tapped on her phone. The man’s phone pinged. He looked at it.
“Thanks for the bonus.” He left.
Eva stared at Heaven with hatred and anger. “What did he even see in you? I am far more beautiful. Why did he even choose you?”
She stood up, opened a drawer, and took out a shotgun. She cocked it.
Heaven coughed. She opened her eyes slowly in fear. Then she met Eva’s face with a wicked smile.
“Eva, it is you?” Heaven asked in shock as she tried to sit up, and she successfully did.
“Surprised? You think you will have a happy ending after ruining my home?” Eva asked her.
“Eva! Where is my son?” Heaven asked, breathing hard.
“Currently not dead. But I plan on killing you first. Then I will have him watch you bleed out, then put a bullet right through his skull. Like—bam!” she said, laughing like a witch.
Heaven swallowed. She shook her head. “I will leave him… I will never go close to him again. Please don’t hurt my son… please…”
“It’s too late. Even if you leave, he will find you anywhere you choose to hide. When you die, he can’t go to hell to bring you back,” Eva said, placing the gun on her shoulder.
“You are evil,” Heaven said.
“So are you. You looked me in the eyes, laughed with me, consoled me, pretended to be my friend, all while you were fucking my husband!!!” she shouted. “What is more evil than that?” she whispered.
“Let’s get this over with.”
She brought the gun and pointed it towards Heaven.
