Chapter 48 Prophecy

POV: Jax

Tonight is the full moon. At the apex of the full moon is when I am to shift and my change will come.

Luke has come back today along with Liam. They will come with me. I don't want anyone to get hurt. I'm not sure how this is going to go. Ash say nothing bad will happen and that Haven should be there. He says it is not necessary for her to be but that it would be nice. I think he just wants to spend time with Haven himself. It's been a really long time since I've let him do that with her.

Haven doesn't remember it but they used to be best buds too. Ash liked to chase her around. Speaking of Haven she is working with her mom in the bakery today.

I haven't seen her much today. Julian is back. He did good. I now know where the guards are. A round about number of warriors. According to him it is mostly just Santos' pack. He met Caroline who was posing as Haven.

He played along with them. He did have to give up Rose but was able to hold it off. He has to give Rose up in the morning. It's ok because that will never happen. We attack tomorrow. Desert mountain is going to help. I have a few other allied packs in the mix.

I will deal with Santos' pack after I secure the palace. Next is to deal with Caroline. They will both stand trial.

Julian told me that Santos blamed it all on Rose saying that Rose cursed her. How stupid does he think Julian is? One Rose told him that Haven is Moon blessed. Two Caroline smells like a wolf and has one. Have does not. She smells like a human. Three Caroline looks nothing like Haven nor Julian or Rose.

I'm about to go into a battle plan meeting now. I have all the alphas that will be helping out here today.

I enter the conference room. Penny is here to. She's a zeta and damn good fighter. She's does good with plans to. She'd make an excellent Gamma.

Court and Richard are here. Over the past week I've tested some things out like with the mindlinking Julian. Richard and Court can't lie to me. Ben is here also. He barely got out. He's been in the infirmary all week.

"Good afternoon everyone. Let's get this started." I sit at the head of the table. It took the entire afternoon all the way to 8:00 at night to finish our plans. We went through it all step by step. Who is doing what. Who is where.

The moon will hit its apex at midnight. Its at that time I will shift into Ash my beast. I go eat a late dinner before I go check on Haven. I finally got her to just stay in my room or our room now. Well sleep anyway. It won't be for long. We will be moved to the palace soon so I haven't had her things moved yet. We will fully share a room then.

I go check on Cameron real quick. Mom has been watching him all day for me. I hate that I'm not there more for him but I have a pack to run and now I have a war to plan and fight. I don't want to put it on Haven either. I can't just ask her to do that. She's not his mother and I would never ask her to be.

As I enter the nursery I find Haven sitting in the rocking chair holding him. He's asleep in her arms and she's asleep. "He honey." Mom whispers behind me.

"She's watched him most of the afternoon when she got back from helping her mom." Mom tells me.

I didn't know. It is a nice thing to see those two together like that. "Thanks for helping out mom."

"It's not a problem but I do think that my new daughter in law does a good job herself. She always comes a takes over for me when your working."

I didn't know she did that. Wait a second how does she know about Haven. I ask her the question out loud. "Son i saw her mark and I've seen how the two of you are together. It's of no surprise your second chance mates."

Second chance? I guess in a way we are. She doesn't know of the imprint. "Its more than just that mom. We're imprinted." I reveal to her.

"Oh I had not expected that." She says. "Mom you can't tell anyone. Not right now anyway. After we gain the palace back then everyone can know."

"Dont worry your secret is safe with me. Haven is a sweet girl I'm sorry I misjudged her before. She didn't deserve that and I don't deserve her forgiveness."

"Thanks mom. So you two have been getting along as of late?" I ask her. I didn't know that Haven and mom had been talking. "Oh yes. She showed me some of her paintings and told me of the things she paints you."

"Yeah she enjoys it." She hasn't painted me anything in a while. I know she's still got that small fear of doing so but I really do enjoy getting them. I have a room specifically for them and I name them.

"Well I just wanted to check in I'll see you tomorrow. Good night." Mom leaves most likely to find Richard. I carefully take Cameron out of Haven's arms trying not to wake either of them. Luckily Cameron doesn't wake. Pick Haven up bridal style carrying her to our room. I change her into one of my shirts and tuck her in.

I take a shower and walk out the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around me. To my surprise Haven is awake. She has big does eyes looking at me. Well maybe not me but my body. Her gaze travels down my abs. "Baby i know I'm hot and all but if you keep looking at me like that I'm not going to make it outside to shift tonight." I smirk. Her blush rises up from her neck.

"Put some clothes on!" She hurriedly says. I chuckle grabbing some clothes. "I'm sorry I thought you were asleep." I tell her. "How did I get in here?" She asks. I put my shirt on. "I carried you in here. You may want to look away unless you want to turn into a tomato."

She squeals covering her eyes. I drop my towel and thrown on some underwear and shorts. "I hear you and my mom are getting along now."

"Yeah I'm still a little on edge around her but it's getting better" she admits. "She also told me you watch Cam sometimes. You know you don't have to do that."

"I know but I was just trying to help you. I know your still grieving and so am I but I just want you to know that I'm here." I move her hands from her face and kiss her. "Your unbelievable you know that. Only you would understand that. I am still upset about Cat and grieving dad and so are you. I'm just sorry I never gave any thought to how this was effecting you to."

"Its ok. I forgive you. I'm here for you as I always am. That's all I was trying to do." She says. "I know and I appreciate that." She looks down at herself.

"Did you change me too?" She ask in disbelief. "Yes I did. I wanted you nice and cozy tucked away. I didn't want to wake you. I know you don't sleep a whole lot when you do sleep. " I tell her. I didn't want to disturb her if she was talking to the moon goddess.

"Oh well thank you but I actually woke up to tell you something." She says. She has a message for me. "What is it?"

"First selene says good luck tomorrow. Second all Your destiny plays an important roll into something bigger. Two worlds will be united as one. A waring species will unite in union. On her 18th birthday this will begin anew." This sounds like a prophecy.

Who's 18th birthday. What waring species? I don't understand this. I guess I will soon find out. "OK? Do you know what this means?" I ask her. "No but she says it has already begun. The one to unite will be born soon."

In that moment that same premonition came of a slightly pregnant Haven. I wonder. "She is." Ash confirms. "Jax? Whats wrong. You're pale are you feeling ok?" Haven asks worriedly.

"Hmm? Yeah. Yeah I'm fine." I say. I'm not telling her tonight. Damn. Here i am just had a pup and now I have another one on the way. I'm happy. I am its just we just got to a good place and I don't want to ruin anything. I'm also worried about the toll this pregnancy will take on her.

Cat was a werewolf so she could handle carrying a lycan baby. Yes Cameron is a Lycan. You can tell even from such a young age. "She can handle it. Even though she has no wolf and is basically human she still has wolf genes. Mate is stronger than you think." Ash answers my concerns.

I really hope that's true. I'm still not telling her tonight. Let me get this battle done and I will sit her down and talk to her about it. Also I don't want to just tell her and leave her alone. That would be wrong. "Are you sure?" She ask not believing me.

"Yes I promise I'm ok. I'm just nervous about tonight is all." It's not a total lie. "Oh. Well I think you'll do great." She encourages me. She's so sweet.

"Thank you. I really needed to hear that especially coming from you." I kiss her. "When do you leave?"

I look at the time. "In an hour." I answer. "Can you lay down with me until you leave or just until I fall back asleep?" I smile down at her laying next to her. I wrap my arms around her with her back to my front. She sighs in content falling asleep in my arms where she always belonged.
