Chapter 47 Fake Haven

POV: Santos

It is all finally happening. All that is left is to get my little Moon Blessed. That Alpha Jax has made no moves on the board. We know that everyone that ran from the palace went to Black River which means he knows.

Why hasn't he sent any scouts here? Caroline thinks that he's lost in grief that he hasn't made any effort. I think she underestimates her brother. Alpha Jax is not that stupid. He's got something planned. His silence is unnerving.

I pulled Riddler off the job I had him on in desert mountain. I will get to R9se eventually but for now we need to secure the throne.

I hired Riddler for another Job to scout out Black River. I've never known him to turn a job down. He did with this one. He refused to set foot on Black River territory. He wouldn't say why. He's been hanging around the palace since. Caroline think we don't need to know what Jax is up to right now.

I think we do but I can't send my own scouts in. Jax would know whats up right away then. It could provoke him into responding. I'm sitting blind here and I don't like it.

"Alpha!" Someone yells out behind me. "What!? Hurry I'm in need of a drink." I order. "There is some Alpha Julian here to see you. He says he's in need to speak with you."

Why would he be here? What does he want? "I will see him. Take him to my office." I command. "Yes Alpha." He bows his head.

Alpha Julian is the Alpha of desert mountain. Rose is there. I wonder if this has anything to do with her. I hope it does. I'm in need of some good news.

I make my way to my office. Caroline wanted her the old kings study so I have the office that once blonged to the Queen. It doesn't matter to me either way.

I sit and wait for Alpha Julian to be brought to me. He enters and sits down. "Hello Alpha Santos, I'm Alpha Julian" he introduces himself.

"Hi. How may I help you today?" I ask. "I'm here because a former pack member of mine has come back to join my pack. She was once my chosen mate. I've recently learned that I have a daughter."

"May I ask her name?" I ask him. I have to know if it who I think he's talking about. "Not at all. Her name is Rose." He answers. So this is what happened. She lied. I was tricked. When I get my hands on her she will pay.

"What does this have to do with me?" I ask. "Well it's the child. She said that you need me to sign something so that you can claim her as yours. I'm here to give you that permission. Though I want to know first that she is ok with this first." He says.

All he wants is to see that she is ok and wants to be with me. He wants to know that I'm not forcing her. I can play along. He's never seen this child.

"Of course. I will take you to her." I tell him. I mindlink one of my men to get Caroline and about the plan. I'm told she has agreed to it.

Caroline is waiting out in the garden for us. We walk through the palace hallways with him following me. When we get to the garden Caroline plays the part beautifully.

"My dear there is someone here that would like to meet you." I say. "Oh hello. I'm Haven and who are you?" She introduces herself as the moon blessed.

"I'm Alpha Julian. Is this your mate here?" He asks her. "Oh yes he is. My chosen. I love him dearly." She kisses my lips.

"Are you happy here?" He asks her. "Yes very much. We have plan to have such a big family. Don't we babe." Caroline is doing wonderfully.

"That is all very good. Perhaps we can see each other again some other time." He says. "Yes would be amazing. You are welcome here anytime."

"OK shall we get this going so I can be with my mate now." I say as we walk back inside. "I'm glad to know that she is at least happy. When Rose came to me she made it sound like you were a monster. I thought I should come see for myself . Then I found out that your the new king and came straight here." Alpha Julian speaks.

"Yes it is ashame what happened with Rose. She has become delusional and paranoid. You see Haven was cursed as a child and so now she can only mate with the permission of her blood parents." I lie.

"Cursed? Why would anyone do such a thing?" He says. "Well truth be told it was Rose that had her cursed. Rose was angry that the poor girl was not her fated mates so she punished her for it. I would like to get Rose here. She should be arrested for her crimes especially against my mate." I say seeing if I can get rose this way.

He stays silent for a minute. "That won't be nessasary. I'm taking Rose to be hospitalized for her mental illness. It is not her fault for her illness." He finally speaks.

"Surly you know that child abuse is against our laws and they must be up held. I can not let Rose remain with out punishment and with knowing what all she has done to my mate." I press.

"All I ask is that she be evaluated first. She isn't well. I do still love her and would like to know that she is going to be ok."

"You can have her evaluated. Then you can bring her to me. I will give you two days to get this done." I compromise. "I believe I can do this. Now let's get this signed shall we." We come to an agreement.

We make it the rest of the way to my office. He signs the contract in his blood. Now I can finally have what is mine.
