Chapter 72

Elvira’s eyes were suppressed by the horror. She didn’t stay there any longer as she began to run. Her legs were shaky and hurting but she finally managed to get into the place where she was. Her heart was hammering against her chest remembering the way how that lady fell on the sand lifelessly after getting shot. She said they are coming but who are they? She was confused. Who are the people who could be this heartless to kill innocent people? She asked herself, thinking about it. Elvira stepped towards the cave after arriving there and she saw Ezki was lying around Lael and Macaria as he was protecting them. Lael was resting his back against Ezki’s neck. Seeing them, she sighed and walked towards them.

“Lael… have food. We can’t stay here any longer. We should leave. Ezki, something is happening outside. I don’t know but someone is killing people '' Elvira sat on the ground and gave a salad to Lael as she muttered while looking at Ezki. She was confused about the fact that people are dying like this. She couldn’t help but think that someone was intentionally doing this after Lain’s death because when Lain was alive nothing like this happened. Elvira’s heart burned with every little thought about Lain but she didn't let the tears come out of her eyes. She never expected that she would fall into this status once he left her.

But can she just live hiding like this while all the people are dying outside. She was the luna here. Even if Lain didn’t get married to her and mark her, she was named as the Luna here. So how could she let the people die like that? She should care for those people but she had no idea how to do it because she didn’t want to lose herself. If anything happened to her that means, her children would have no one. Lain is gone and Alec and Maria… Everyone who she could trust was gone. So how could she even think about letting herself be in danger? She should live for her children and raise them.

While she was thinking about it, suddenly her wolf became altered. Focusing on the sounds around her, Elvria moved closer to her kids and bit her lower lip. Her heart was hammering against her chest, she was scared to be found by the people who were doing this. As she thought about everything, she looked at Macaria who was still sleeping. She was not going to wake up anytime soon but once she woke up, she would cry. With so many thoughts in her mind, she looked at Ezki who had murderous eyes. He must have also felt what’s going on.

“Kill anyone who comes here.” With that remark, Elvira stayed next to Ezki while looking at the entrance of the place. Closing her eyes, she focused on her body. She felt tht she was not in a good situation. She cannot fight and she couldn’t even walk but still she walked ignoring the tearing pain in her body. No matter what and no matter how painful it was, she had to face this for her children and she had to be strong. Soon after, Elvira heard the footsteps near her and she knew those people were coming there. Her heart sank, she looked back at Lael who was eating the salad that she gave him innocently.

‘Lain…. How could… I survive with these two babies or ours? Please… help me…’ Tears rolled down from her eyes as she thought about it. She wanted him to help her.. She just wanted him to come back to her even if her heart knew that it was impossible. For the first time in her life, she felt the undying helplessness. Without him, she was nothing and she cannot even think about doing anything without him. Now she understood how valuable Lain was to her all the time in her life. Moving her hand, she placed it against her necklace and touched it. He gave this to her and she would protect this since it was also protecting her.

All of sudden, Ezki let out a earpericing grunt as he covered Elvira with his wings. Looking at Ekzi, Elvira felt fear. She didn’t want to lose this dragon too. She lost everyone now but he was the one to remain with her. So she would never ever let Ezki die. With that should, she closed her eyes and whispered something. Elvira’s wolf slowly stepped out of her body. Her wolf was exhausted and looking at her, one could tell that she was in pain and that physical pain had made her cover with burning fury. She was furious and murderous. She wanted nothing but to kill anyone who came in front of her.

As expected, a few people came there making Elvira’s wolf growls. Seeing the dragon, everyone’s steps halted and they stared at the dragon with horror. Elvira could understand why these people are here. They must be looking for her and children. Lain is gone now. That means Blood alpha who controlled everything is gone, so now other alpha’s are dying to be the leader of everything. That’s why this is happening. If they caught Elvira and her children, there would be no mercy and they would just simply kill Lael and there’s no doubt of it because Lael is the one to take Lain’s name to the future.

“You are Lain Osiris’s woman! You gave birth to a son right. We will not harm you as long as you give the boy to us. There’s no harm!” A man stepped forward and uttered. Elvira’s wolf furiously growled. Give her son to them? They think that she would do that when they said that they wouldn’t hurt her? No way! She would never ever believe anyone. Elvira’s wolf again entered Elvira’s body and Elvira opened her eyes looking at the men in front of her. She could feel all the men are Alphas and they have guns in their hands. Looking at them, Elvira shook her head. She would never ever give her children to anyone.

“I think it’s not even a question. I would not give my children to you. Why would I?” Her voice was sharp and cold. Upon hearing her the men scanned her from her head to toe. They could feel that she had given birth to a child all alone with the way her body looked. With that feeling, they couldn’t help but wonder how strong she is to give birth to a child from blood alpha without anyone's help. But no matter how strong she was, at this point, she was weak. No woman can stand this pain. Alpha’s looked at each other’s faces and then looked back at Elvira.

“We will respect you here since you are the Blood Luna.. but he’s already gone and not coming back. No matter how savage and proud you are, you will have to bend your head for us in the future, we can’t let Lain’s children live.. They should also die because Osirs bloodline should leave this world” Elvira’s eyebrows twitched. She stared at the man who just spoke and shook her head. She would not let that happen and she would not let Osiris bloodline die like this. With that thought, she suddenly thought about something. Was there any other way for her to make Lain come back to life? She thought. Using a witch or anything? She had heard something like that before.

“Who are you to make decisions about my children’s life huh? If you don’t want to get burned to death here, just leave! If not I’ll make him fire you until you turn to ashes” Elvira said, patting Ezki’s body. The alpha’s was taken back hearing her. They knew how dangerous this kind of dragons are and they knew those dragons had left this world thousands of years ago but they couldn’t understand why a dragon was here. Looking at the dragon, they could feel how dangerous and furious the dragon was.

“Lain Osiris was the most ruthless and dangerous Blood Alpha of history. Viciousness is in his blood. We can’t let his son live because he would also be someone like his father. Someone who kills people for nothing. No matter how you try to stop, we can’t let your children live. They should die along with their father. That’s the rule! The blood alpha who lived before Lain didn’t die at thirty. He died at fifty after the death of the woman who made him live. Once he died, his children and everyone who shared his blood was killed and the same thing should happen now”

“If we want to continue everything, we can’t accept your children’s presence. I know as a mother it’s so hard for you but this should be the thing to happen.” Elvira’s heart was covered with piercing pain. How could they even think about that? Her children are so small. One is just two years old and the other one came to this world today. They are too young to die. They have to live their lives and they have to get to know what the world is. She wouldn’t let anyone harm her children. They are the only people that she has. They are the only thing that Lain left for her.

“No! No one is killing my children…” She shook her head with tears in her eyes and then she looked back at Lael who had stopped eating his food and looked at her with a pair of innocent eyes. How could she even think about letting this little boy die? She would rather die along with them if something like that happened to her children. Looking at the men again, Elvira parted her lips to speak. How could she let this happen? No way!

“Leave! They are so small and they can’t even do anything. How can you become cheerless over innocent children like this?” She barked at the men. They let out a cold chuckle and shook their heads. Elvira stared at them and clenched her fists angrily. She can’t understand how those people found here but that doesn’t matter. She is strong enough to protect babies. Just like Lain always asked her to be strong, she became strong and “Even a tiger is also innocent and can’t do anything when they are small but once they grow up stronger and powerful, they will become deadly” Elvira had no expression in her face as she looked at the man. She bit her lower lip and shook her head. She knew that her son would become dangerous once he grew up since he also had the same blood as Lain but that doesn’t mean he should die without even having the taste of his life. He should become the alpha and control everything.

“But that doesn’t mean the tiger should die without even tasting flesh” Elvira slowly curled her lips upwards to an evil smile as she muttered. Her words provoked the alphas and they all looked at her with coldness in their eyes. Moving her hand slowly, Elvira touched Ezki with a thought in her mind. As soon as she touched Ezki, Ezki fired his blue fire. Alphas had nowhere to run and they went crazy as they burned. Their painful screams echoed everywhere. Looking at them, Elvira licked her lips. Her throat became dry and she felt so thirsty. She felt thirsty not for water but for blood.

Closing her eyes, Elvira took a deep breath and laughed as she felt the power inside of her burning. She felt the blood thirst. She wanted to drink blood. Walking towards the men who were burning with fire, Elvira grabbed one of the men and pushed him into the lake. After the fire on the man’s body faded, she sharpened her claws and dug her nails into the man’s neck, killing the man on the spot. After the man died, she licked the blood on her fingers and smiled. She felt an unimaginable power as the blood entered her body.

“She’s….. She’s… becoming the blood…” Elvira’s eyes snapped open hearing a voice of man. She turned her head and looked at the man who had not caught on fire. Looking at him, she stepped towards him. She’s becoming the blood? Blood what? She smirked at him. An awful power rose inside of her and all of those just to protect her children that she gave birth to enduring all the pain in her life.

“Becoming blood? Blood what?” She mocked the man and stepped towards the man wanting to kill him. She wanted to tear the man to shreds. But suddenly hearing a voice, she stopped walking. Her mind went crazy and she felt something was controlling her inside of her.

“Mommy….” It was Lael’s voice and Elvira looked at his direction to see he was looking at her with wide eyes. Seeing his face, Elvira gasped and suddenly she came back to her senses. Soon she realized what’s happening with her. Why? Why is she becoming like Lain? She just drank the blood of that man. Horror took over her and she ran away from those men.
