Chapter 60

“It feels so weird.. It’s heavy around my neck. But I love it, thank you so much” wrapping her hands around Lain’s neck, Elvira muttered. She really felt the necklace was so heavy on her neck but she loved it from the first look she had. She never expected Lain to gift her something like this. She never hoped for something like this but she was so happy. Lain watched Elvira’s happiness filled face. He looked at her neck and saw the necklace was glowing. The diamond was glittering. So beautiful.

“Why did you want to give me these? This is the first time you wore me jewelries.. I will keep these with me for the rest of my life” Elvira pecked on Lain’s lips and muttered. Her eyes were filled with love. Her eyes held honesty and faithfulness. Lain moved his hand and touched the smooth skin of her face with a smile on his face. As he did it, Elvira’s eyes covered with a thin layer of tears.

“Yeah, you should keep this with you for the rest of your life” Elvira nodded. She would definitely keep this. This is the first time she received series from a man after her father and she would never ever forget and never ever take these off. He was the one to put all these on her and she would not take these off. Elvira giggled and moved away from Lain as she looked at the rainy night which was so beautiful to watch. As she watched, Lain hugged her from the behind and kissed her neck. Wrapping his arms around her waist and placing his palms on her belly, he closed his eyes and calmly listened to his baby’s movements.

Even though he failed to feel any movements yet, he kept his hands without moving. It was not the first time he experienced Elvira’s pregnancy, it was just so different now with his weakened soul and body. He couldn’t feel his baby anymore just like it happened with Lael. caressing her flat belly, Lain continued kissing her neck. After a while he opened his eyes and looked at Elvira. She was enjoying the beauty of nature. Lain unwrapped his hands from Elvira's body and then he turned her to him.

“Let’s think like this… if the baby was a girl, let's call Macaria Osiris. If the baby was a boy, he would be Zagreus Osiris.” Elvira’s lips slowly curled upwards to a smile upon hearing him. What a good father? He had already chosen names for his future baby. Macaria and Zagreus. Of course those are nice names. Elvira accepted the name and she kept those names in her mind protectively. She had no idea what the gender of the baby was but she was glad that he gave names for both genders.

“Sounds powerful and strong.” Elvira muttered. Lain chuckled and kissed her forehead. He had his eyes admiring Elvira’s beauty and he suddenly recalled the way he first saw her. She took his breath away. Her eyes had a frightened look on her but that frightened look was nowhere to be seen now. She was not scared of him anymore. Her frightened look now replaced with uncontrollable love and care for him. Looking into her galaxy like eyes, Lain traveled his gaze all over her face before stopping it at Elvira’s pink lips.

Lain moved his hand. He wiped the lipstick on her lips with his thumb and smiled at her. There was no need for lipstick for her lips. They are literally rose colored. After he wiped the lipstick from her lips, he lowered his head and caught her lower lip between his teeth and gently. Elvira smiled against his lips and parted her lips letting him kiss her properly. Taking that chance, Lain started to kiss her lips passionately. Elvira placed her hands on Lain’s chest and she felt his heartbeat but it was somewhat weak and not as strong as before but she didn’t care about it as much.

Biting her lips and kissing her deeply and warmly, Lain slowly pushed Elvira towards the wall beside the window and placed his hand back on her neck as he deepened the kiss even more. The sound of their sloppy kiss along with the heavy rain was romantically amazing. Elvira roamed her hands all over his chest and then she leisurely wrapped them around Lain’s neck. Her lips were becoming numb from Lain’s kiss but she let him kiss her. After sharing a passionate and sloppy kiss, Lain broke the kiss between them and cupped Elvira’s face.

“It’s sad that we can’t have a good night here..” Whispering against Elvira's lips, Lain kissed her chin and then moved to her neck. Stopping at her marking spot, Lain sniffed her skin and clenched his jaws. His teeth grew out, they sharpened. He felt the urge to mark her but shaking his head, he moved away from her and looked at her face. As Lain’s eyes fell on Elvira’s she looked at him and smiled. Lain’s lips slowly curled upwards to a smile and look at the necklace on her neck and saw it was red. As far as he knew this necklace only became red when the sunlight fell on it but look at it now.

Not only the necklace but also her earrings and her ring. The diamond was blood red and it was unmagically shiny. Looking at it, he looked at Elvira again. He kissed her forehead and let out a deep sigh filled with so many emotions and thoughts in his mind. He took her for a date. One thing which he had in his mind was done. He had a few more things that he should do before leaving and he was going to finish everything one by one without letting anyone know.

“Is there any place that you like to visit?” Lain questioned Elvira. Upon hearing his question, she bit her lower lip and fell into a deep thought. Elvira was thinking about a place that she wanted to go. Instead of thinking why Lain asked this from her so suddenly, she decided to think about a place. While she was thinking suddenly, something came into her mind. Elvira’s eyes lit up. Looking at Lain with that idea, she raised her eyebrows and spoke.

“Lain.. can we go to the snow mountains? Please? I like going there. I have heard that there lives a witch who blesses couples long lasting relationships. Let’s go there” Lain said nothing but smiled. Long lasting relationships? For couples? Of course he would love to try that but he knew no witch could stop his death. Even if he had no desire to meet the witch that Elvira was saying, he nodded at her and agreed with her to go to the snowy mountains. Since she liked, he would always take her there.

“Let’s go.. I will take you there. How about we go there the day after tomorrow?” Lain asked. Elvira’s eyes lit up. She nodded at him swiftly and jumped up and down with happiness. It will be better to go there soon before her belly grows. Once the baby grew inside of her, she wouldn’t be able to go anywhere and she cannot even think about walking when she carried the baby. Lain was the one who carried her everywhere during the last few months of her pregnancy.

“Okay, let’s take Lael too. My heart doesn’t allow me to leave without him.. Gosh! I miss him already” Lain laughed at Elvira’s words. She was the one to tell him all the time she’s so tired after taking care of Lael but she already missed him. They have been out of home only for a few hours but she’s missing him like hell. Lain really had no idea to leave Lael alone with Aunt Maria because Lael was a boy who wanted Elvira’s warmth. So he always looked for Elvira whenever he wanted her to hold him, so how can he leave Lael at home knowing the fact?

“I never said that I’m not taking him with us. We should take him too” Lain said. Elvira agreed with him with a smile and touched the ring on her hand as she looked at it before letting out a smile. Her smile satisfied Lain’s heart. He watched her face and clenched his fists. Without thinking about anything, he looked at the rain and closed his eyes. He took a deep breath. His deep breath really made his heart feel weak and hurt. Lain could already feel the weakness in him and he gets chest pains from time to time. And now, the deep breath he took also caused a slight pain in his chest. He will be alright… he will be alright until he reaches his birthday.

The time passed instantly. Elvira was already six and half months pregnant and she had her belly around her. For some unknown reason, Elvira didn’t want to check the gender of the baby in her belly and also Lain. They never tried to find the baby’s gender. They just let the baby born and they should be happy seeing the baby. Even though Lain was curious about his baby’s gender, he did not dare to find the baby if it was a girl or a boy. Just because he will have possessiveness over the baby, he didn’t want to find it. If it was a girl, he would go crazy. But now, he knew that he wouldn’t wait until Elvira gave birth to this baby.

“Lain… I made you a coffee.” Lain was sitting on the chair of his study room with Lael on his lap when Elvira hardly walked into the study room with a tray in her hands. She had his mug and Lael’s mug on it. Seeing that it was hard for her to come to him, Lain put Lael on the floor and walked towards Elvira as he took it from her and placed it on the desk. Elvira smiled at him and rested her hands on her waist while supporting her belly. Even though her belly was big, it was not as big as when Lael was inside of her.

“I asked you to stay in the room.. Why did you go to the kitchen?” Lain’s voice was upset when he said that. He didn’t want her to do anything.he just simply didn’t want her to walk through the staircase. Elvira smiled at him and shook her head. Lain held her by her waist and gently led her towards the sofa in the study room as he made her sit on it. After she sat on it, she bit her lower lip and spoke.

“I’m okay Lain.. it’s not like when I'm pregnant with him.. I am much more energetic and I can't even walk. Don’t worry… I’m all okay. I’m strong” Lain smiled after hearing her. Yes, she was enegertic. She was so fucking energetic than she was during her first pregnancy. She was strong and energetic because he added two drops of his fresh blood into the bowl of red bean soup that she drank every morning. He was giving her strength by his blood and she wouldn’t have a hard time while giving birth.

She has had his blood like this since a few months ago and it will be enough for her to be strong. Patting Elvira’s head, Lain walked towards the desk and took Lael’s milk cup as he gave it to Lael. he knew how to drink milk alone already. Watching him drinking it, Lain took his mug and took a sip of his coffee before turning to Elvira who was watching Lael. she was scanning the way Lael was drinking his milk.

“Lael, your daddy is getting older by the day after tomorrow. Do you have anything to say to daddy about it? He will be thirty years old” Lain smiled hearing Elvira’s words. He looked at her happy face and clenched his jaws. Without saying anything, he looked at his little son who was looking at him with widely opened eyes. Lain was sure that Lael had no idea about what Elvira said.

“I asked Aunt Maria to buy ingredients for your birthday cake. You like chocolate and coffee cakes right?” Elvira asked Lain. he nodded at Elvira. He liked chocolate and coffee. Even his mother also made him chocolate and coffee cakes for his birthdays when she was alive so he really loved eating those. But when he thought that he would not be able to eat the cake that Elvira makes, his heart burned.

“Cake? Yayyyyyyy… my birthday!!” Suddenly Lael screamed with happiness which made Lain laugh loudly. Elvira pressed her lips together and watched Lael. everytime she mentions cakes, Lael thinks that it’s his brithay. This boy is really something. She thought and then she looked at Lain who was also laughing. His laugh made Elvira smile. It was so good to see him laughing.

“Not your birthday baby, it’s daddy’s birthday.” Elvira explained to Lael. Lael looked at Elvira with questioning eyes and then moved his eyes to Lain. he looked so confused at this point after hearing Elvira.

“Daddy has a birthday?” he asked. Lain laughed even loudly hearing him. Does he think that only he has birthdays? Both Elvira nd Lain were speechless after hearing his words.
