Chapter 14 Everything Should End
Did Michael take it?
Just then, Faye, the maid, walked in to clean the room.
Olivia looked up, "Hey, Faye, did you see the paper that was on the nightstand?"
Faye paused, then replied, "Ms. Johnson, I didn't notice any paper. Did it go missing? I'll start looking for it right away."
Olivia was puzzled. How could it just vanish?
Could Michael have taken it?
That didn't seem right either!
If he saw it, he wouldn't have just ignored it.
A little while later, Faye found the divorce papers under the bed. She handed them to Olivia without checking them out too closely, "Must've been blown off by the wind yesterday."
What a coincidence!
Never mind, she'd draft a new divorce agreement.
After today, she wasn't going to let Michael off easy.
Once she got Bianca to sleep, Olivia grabbed her laptop.
She was determined to create a complete and thorough divorce agreement.
She searched online for various templates, but none fit her and Michael's situation.
After browsing for a while, she decided to ask her best friend, "Evelyn, do you know any lawyers who can help me get a divorce agreement template?"
Evelyn responded quickly, "I do. I can help you get one, but... shouldn't you include some specific terms? A simple template would be too easy on Michael!"
Olivia felt a bit dazed.
When she married Michael, she never thought about divorce.
The previous agreement was hastily drafted, but Evelyn's reminder made her ask, "What terms should I include? How do I add them?"
Evelyn sent a voice message, "Michael has so much money, and he's the one at fault here. You should get compensation for you and Bianca. I'd say ask for ten billion dollars, twenty billion dollars—whatever he owes you."
Not wanting Olivia to stress further, Evelyn added, "How about this? I'll discuss the terms with my friend and draft the agreement. You can review it later. I'll make sure you get what you deserve and won't let you suffer."
Olivia didn't actually want Michael's money.
But Evelyn was right; she had to consider Bianca's future.
The cost for Bianca's therapy would certainly be high.
Thinking about therapy, Olivia remembered the mysterious psychologist Evelyn had mentioned.
After so many days without news from Evelyn, it seemed she hadn't found any information on him either.
Olivia decided to try searching online.
The psychologist was so low-profile that there wasn't even a trace of information about him.
"Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places?" Olivia thought for a moment and started searching through military websites and forums.
After about half an hour, she finally found a relevant post on a highly authoritative forum.
The post contained only a few words, detailing the psychologist's impressive resume.
[Psychologist for the National Peacekeeping Forces and Special Operations Forces.]
[He provided psychological counseling for the President, curing a decade-long nightmare-induced depression!]
[The richest man in the world hired him with a hefty reward to treat his nine-year-old autistic son, and he succeeded!]
[International superstar—Elizabeth Perez's psychological healer!]
Just a few lines were enough to showcase his expertise!
Unfortunately, the post didn't reveal how to contact him.
However, Olivia caught two crucial pieces of information!
This psychologist had cured a child who had been autistic for nine years!
And he had treated a famous actress.
Olivia couldn't find anything about his military achievements, but she could easily find news about Elizabeth and the child.
First, she looked up the child. His family had hired countless renowned doctors, but none succeeded in treating him.
But after the mysterious psychologist intervened, he recovered.
Olivia specifically checked the child's social media accounts.
From his posts, it was clear he had returned to a normal life, was very outgoing, and had no trouble communicating with others.
He was now a completely different person, enthusiastic about various activities.
Rock climbing, surfing, and helicopter trips with his family were all part of his vibrant life.
There was no sign of his former autism!
Olivia felt a glimmer of hope and then started looking for information on Elizabeth.
Being a celebrity, there was much more information about her online than about the child.
Initially, she was vastly different from her current self.
She once had severe psychological issues, and before being cured, she was insecure and timid, like an ordinary person.
Everyone's impression of her was that she was reclusive.
She was even disliked by netizens, who thought she didn't belong in the entertainment industry and was a blight on it.
But after being cured, she transformed into a queen-like figure.
In just three years, she not only underwent a personal transformation but also achieved great success in her career.
Her movies won numerous awards, making her the youngest actress to achieve the Grand Slam!
Olivia spent the entire afternoon researching this.
Afterward, she felt hopeful.
If this psychologist could help Bianca, he could surely cure her!
However, neither Elizabeth's interviews nor social media posts, nor the child's, mentioned the psychologist.
Olivia felt a bit disappointed but was determined not to give up.
She had to find a way to contact him!
After making up her mind, Olivia organized the useful information.
Just as she finished, Evelyn messaged her, "Olivia, the divorce agreement is ready. Take a look. My friend added many terms in your favor.
For example, Bianca's education fund, therapy costs, compensation for Michael's neglect as a father, damages for wasting your youth, emotional distress from his infidelity, and alimony..."
She listed a bunch of terms and then emphasized, "Though we don't care about that jerk, we must get all the benefits we can!
Your and Bianca's future security depends on this. Make Michael pay up, or else he'll just spend the money on other women!"
Olivia agreed, "I trust you. No need to review it."
Evelyn would always look out for her, so there was no need to check.
She would print it out and have Michael sign it when he got home!
She was exhausted and didn't want to let Michael's betrayal drain her emotionally anymore.
She also didn't want Bianca to suffer from Michael's favoritism!
Everything needed to end.
