67 - I have all the patience in the world

Linda was slightly uncomfortable with the change in his demeanor but knew one thing for sure. “You are my fiancé.”

This man proposed to her unexpectedly, also making a public declaration of how much he loved her over the phone to her peers, in spite of his status in the corporate world.

Her response removed all the worry he felt when he pulled over, as a smile replaced the frown from before.

He then thought of another way to send the message he wanted to give her across.

“And I also like to enjoy the fruit of my labor. I dreamed of that special day ever since I met you and with all the people invited, everything has to be top-notch.”

Linda, as much as she felt like he was spending too much, understood the silent message that there were levels of life that prevented the likes of Oliver to come down to her level of expenditure.

All she had to do was climb his high mountain to match his. “I get it.”

Oliver smiled and got back on the road. He was almost at home anyway, regretting not using a driver.

He would have cuddled her until they reached home but after this, he made a mental note to bring a driver next time.

“Good. So, you will have to rechoose the venue, gown, and everything,” he reminded her. That was all she had to do and the experts would handle the rest.

Linda never dreamt of an expensive wedding but was going to have an extravagant one, thanks to Oliver.

“Everything is happening so fast,” she thought aloud, Oliver smiled at her.

He never thought to find happiness in a woman and never thought that blind date would amount to anything but, it all merged together and he found true happiness all at once.

“That is because I have waited for you all my life,” he said with a passion, that made her body giddy with desire for him.

As soon as they reached the penthouse, their clothes were flying in the air. Linda was being hit hardest and Oliver showed no mercy this time.

However, the more he gave, the more she wanted of him, just as he wanted to bury himself inside of her forever.

Without their passion over the bar, they had gone three rounds before allowing sleep to steal them.

Waking up the next morning, Linda was surprised that Oliver was already dressed and ready for work.

He worked on his laptop from the recliner he sat on, making her feel lazy. Even after all the lovemaking from last night, she was still self-conscious, unable to get out of bed with him facing her.

He already put the laptop aside when he caught her movements from the corner of his eyes and went to sit beside her on the bed.

Their lips intertwined once more as Linda suggested. “I think you should go without me or you would be late.”

Oliver refused, saying, “I have all the patience in the world. Get ready and let’s go. There are different kinds of clothes in the closet for you.”

Mentioning clothes, she remembered the gift she had for him and quickly got out of bed, forgetting that she was naked.

By the time she reached for her handbag to bring out the gift, she was pinned against the closet door as Oliver began kissing her passionately.

His blazer was already flying in the air and so did everything he wore that morning. Linda was a turn-on whenever he saw her and being naked made him lose control.

“What did you go for?” He finally asked after catching his breath, Linda saw the gift lying pitifully on the floor and was ashamed to pick it up.

However, Oliver followed her gaze and seeing the box, he picked it up and unwrapped it. When he opened the gift, he was touched.

“You bought me a wristwatch?”

Linda smiled nervously. “It isn’t a limited edition or anything. It’s not even expensive so you don’t have to wear…”

Her words caught up in her throat when he removed the expensive wristwatch he wore and put on the one she gave him.

“I love it and will wear it all the time,” he said, Linda’s heart warmed as their lips met again.

He loved it because it was from her, not caring if it was expensive or not. It also meant everything to him because he knew she was just a student and her parents did not look like they spoiled her with so much money.

This man was so obsessed that he never sees anything wrong with her. She went to shower and dressed up.

Reaching the office together, she was uncomfortable with all the gazes pinned on her when she walked with the CEO to his office.

Oliver Winters never allowed any woman so close so this was a huge surprise, sparking gossip alarms but not loud enough for either Oliver or Linda to hear.

They feared that Oliver might just fire them.

Oliver had breakfast delivered to his office since none of them were able to cook that morning and after they ate, he explained his job description to her, making her feel as if she was having an internship with NL Incorporated.

Their moment was ruined by the rude interruption of an equally attractive man, barging into the office like he owned it.

“Oh my God, that must be Mrs. Winters,” Andrew, Oliver’s best friend spoke. Knowing Oliver, no woman would have the privilege of sitting in his office and chatting so casually with him, even when the door was not locked.

“Yes,” Oliver responded before introducing his best friend to his fiancé. “This is my best friend, Andrew. Andrew, meet my fiancé, Linda.”

Andrew shook hands with Linda with a warm smile as Oliver’s voice interrupted him. “And what brings you here?”

Andrew seemed offended by the question, as it seemed as if Oliver had forgotten all about it. His disappointment only worsened when it did not seem that Oliver recalled anything.
