Fifteen

Eric looked at her with an expressionless gaze. "Miss, Boss is waiting for you at home, and he asked you to follow me back," He said.

Olivia sighed. She took a deep breath because she knew exactly what she was going to face when she finally got home. Eric opened the car door for her, and she got into the car.

He closed the car door and opened the passenger door, the one beside the driver's seat. Then he got into the car too.

The driver started the car and drove off. Olivia turned her head and looked out of the window in deep thought. She wondered where Alex was right now. She turned her head and looked at Eric. "Mr. Eric, can you tell me what your Boss's mood is right now? Is he angry?" She asked him.

Eric turned his head and looked at her before he looked out of the window, ignoring her. Olivia sighed. She already knew that there would not be a response from him; she just wanted to try her luck. She knew how Eric felt about her; he most probably hates her; in fact, all of the bodyguards also hate her because she always gives them a hard time. Whenever she escapes from the mansion, the bodyguards are the ones who suffer the consequences.

They hate her, so they are always expressionless and ignore her. But they always monitor her very well, so they will not be given any punishment for whatever offenses they commit. If the bodyguards are talking to themselves, they will immediately stop talking when they see her. Their expressions will turn cold, like they do not want to see her at all.

She turned her head and looked out of the window. The car finally drove into the mansion. Eric got down from the car and opened the car door for her. Olivia got out of the car, bent down a little, and whispered into Eric's ear.

"We can work together; you can tell me how your boss feels so I will be prepared, but you are not telling me. We will both suffer together, and you will be the one to suffer the most after all; he likes me." She threatened him. She raised her head and smiled at him before she patted his shoulder like they were close friends. She strode into the mansion.

Eric's mouth twitched when he saw this-the way she looked so innocent. People will not think that she was threatening him; they will think they are close buddies instead. He closed the car door and turned around. He saw the bodyguards looking at him like he was betraying them.

He sighed. "Why are you looking at me that way?" He asked when he saw this.

"I thought we agreed not to smile with her?" One of the bodyguards named Sam said

Eric shrugged. "And when did I smile with her?" He asked them

"But she just whispered something in your ears," Paul said.

"She is threatening me!" Eric said he was feeling indignant.

Meanwhile, Olivia did not know that she had caused arguments between the bodyguards. She strode into the house and saw Alex sitting down on the couch. His face was dark and cold; there was not even a hint of warmth there.

Alex, you are back," She said with a smile, and she walked towards him.

Alex raised his head and looked at her; his face did not soften even after seeing her.

She sat down next to him and asked, "Have you eaten?" She asked. She was hoping he would reply to her so she would be able to tell him.

"Where are you coming from? Where did you go?" Alex finally asked.

Olivia looked at him and said, "I went to the graveyard to visit my grandparents. Why do you ask?" She asked with an innocent expression.

Alex looked at her and muttered, Oh.

"Come in," He said.

A bodyguard walked in holding Ethan roughly; his body was bleeding, and he looked exhausted too. She was shocked when she saw him and looked at Alex.

Ethan was elated when he saw her. He smiled at her and said, Please, Olivia, help me beg Alex to let me off. You did not come and visit me at the hospital; can you tell him that?" Ethan said it with a pleading expression.

His words actually meant something else, like he was confirming that she came to visit him at the hospital, but he wanted her to lie and say that she did not come.

"What do you mean by this?" She asked him, frowning.

"You went to visit at the hospital, right?" He asked in a cold and calm voice.

The more calm he seemed, the more he was angry. Olivia frowned when she heard how calm he seemed. "No, I went to the hospital for something else," She said.

Ethan immediately looked at Alex and said, "I told you that she really did not come to visit me at the hospital. See, she has already confirmed it," He said.

The bodyguard holding him slapped his cheek. Ethan was shocked. "You... how dare you slap me? You are just a lackey of Alex. Why are you acting arrogantly?" Ethan said it angrily. He was really scared before, but when he saw Olivia, his mind was at peace, and he knew that she would never allow them to treat him this badly anymore.

He looked at Olivia with a smile on his face and said, "Olivia I have been mistreated by this bodyguard. You must help me discipline him," He said with a smile.

Olivia rolled her eyes internally. 'What the hell is this jerk spouting? She was looking for ways to appease Alex, and he keeps landing her in more trouble with his ambiguous words.
