The nurse shook her head and said, No, he has not been discharged yet. He was taken away directly. She said her face was all red as she blushed.
Emily frowned. "What do you mean by that?" She asked her.
"A man came in not too long ago; he came together with some bodyguards. They carried the man away," She said with a sigh.
"What the hell! And you cannot even call the cops to report it? Someone came into your hospital to kidnap a patient, and you are unable to do anything? I wonder how people will feel if they realize that they are at risk of getting kidnapped in your hospital," She said with a frown.
The nurse looked at Emily with a frown and asked, "What do you mean by that? Who will dare to stop the president of Blue Ridge Corporation?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Emily was shocked. "What? You mean Alex was here?" She asked in shock.
"His name is Alex? Oh, nice name. He is so handsome." The nurse said she was blushing like Alex was still there.
Emily frowned. "Did they take a lady with them like a lady of my age?" She asked the nurse. She does not really care about Ethan's safety; what really matters is if Olivia is there, and maybe Alex caught them red-handed.
The nurse shook her head. "What lady? There is no lady with him. Sigh. You have to see the man. He is so handsome," She said with a red face.
Emily felt irritated; she unlocked her phone and showed her Olivia's picture. "This lady, do you see her there too?" She asked her.
The nurse squinted her eyes. "She looked familiar, but I am sure she is not there." She said. She collected the phone and showed it to her friend, who is also a nurse. "Was this lady among the men who just left?" She asked her.
The fellow nurse glanced at the picture. She shook her head and said, No, she is not. Do you know her?" She asked her.
"No, I don't," she pointed at Emily. "She is the one asking for her," She said to her.
Emily collected her phone and smiled, saying, "It is alright. I don't mean any harm. She is my friend; I am just worried about her," She said.
The nurse gasped. "I remember now," She said.
Emily's eyes lit up. "Was she there? What did the man do to her?" She asked, and she looked at the nurse eagerly.
"You recall I just said she looked familiar, right?"
The nurse asked Emily. Emily nodded, even though she was feeling impatient internally.
The nurse looked at her with a smile. "I am sorry, but I cannot tell you since it is a secret, and we are professionals who should not tell our patients secrets," She said with a knowing smile.
Emily looked at her nurse. She opened her bag and brought out some dollars. She gave it to the nurse. "This should be enough, right? Tell me now," She said, feeling irritated.
The nurse was so excited when she saw the money. She just wanted to try her luck to see if she would get money from her. She could tell that the lady was rich when she saw the designer clothes she was wearing. The nurse looked at her with a stern expression. "I am not like that; I don't take bribes," She said.
Emily gritted her teeth angrily and asked, "How much do you want?" She asked her.
The nurse looked at her, shrugging. "Five thousand dollars, nothing less," She said.
Emily dipped her hand into her pocket and brought out all the money in there. She gave it to the nurse. "Here now, tell me," she said.
The nurse counted the money, and she was immediately excited when she saw that it was complete. She put the money in her pocket and looked around to see if anyone saw what just happened.
"She came to the hospital today," the nurse said.
Emily's eyes lit up in delight. "She came here today?" She asked her.
The nurse nodded and said, "That is right. She came here today," She said.
"What did she come here for? Did she come and visit the man who was carried away? Ethan?" She asked.
The nurse shrugged. "I don't know," She said.
Emily frowned. "What? Is that the information you have?" She asked her angrily.
"That is right. So bye, I am going to my work," She said and walked away.
Emily could not stop her; she could only watch her leave. She gritted her teeth; she was so angry. She gave her so much for so little information. The money was her one-month salary. She felt terribly upset.
She walked out of the hospital, walked to the roadside, and hailed a taxi. She got into the taxi. She took out her phone from her pocket and dialed Olivia's number. It rang for a while, but there was no answer.
She narrowed her eyes. Could it be that her guess was really right?
…
She was amazed by the sight in front of her. Everywhere was full of flowers; she did not understand where they came from, but the scene was really beautiful. She smiled happily and bowed down again.
She stood up and walked out of the graveyard. She looked around. The place where the graveyard is located is a little far away from the bus stop, so she will not be able to get a taxi very early.
She sighed and started trekking to the bustop because people rarely come here, so taxis do not pass or drive here except if she is coming when she takes a taxi that drives her down here.
Suddenly, a Mercedes-Benz car drove by and stopped beside her. She frowned and stared at the car. The car door opened, and a man stepped out of the car. When the man turned and faced her. She was stunned when she saw the familiar face.
Eric," She called.
It was Alex's personal assistant. And he is very close to Alex too.
