Chapter 117 Ghost commander ninety
Chapter 117 Ghost commander ninety
Black fang hall isn’t just an assassination hall, it’s an organization whispered in fear among many eastern packs.
To ordinary people, the organization is a mere rumor. To nobles, it is a nightmare and to their target, it is a death sentence with no way of escaping.
The organization rose to prominence several decades ago, but unlike other assassin groups that rely on number and chaos, they rely on one theme - absolute success.
They never fail no matter how strong their opponents are.
No failures, no survivors unless the client demands otherwise.
In just a few years, they built a fearsome reputation that no assassinatuon organization could build in a century.
Alex glanced at the man in lead and seeing the ghost mask in his face, he remembered something even more outrageous.
The Black fang hall had ranks and hierarchy that allowed for proper conducts despite the hotheadedness of most members of the gang.
The highest rank was the hall master who founded the organization. Some described him as ruthless and scary, some described him as a man with a gentle facade, and said others doubted if it was a woman or a man. But, nobody has ever seen the person before. Even someone of Alex’s status jad no idea who the person is.
But that was probably a question to be asked for Damien.
However, for someone who could create such an organization, he or she wasn’t simple.
The second in rank were the black generals. They are the authorities after the hall master and they take orders only from him. They can be hired too, but their charges are scary, something ordinary nobles can never afford. Even Alphas of some large packs can afford them.
The third in rank were the Ghost commanders. There are several hundred of them, and they are called by cold names. For example, Ghost commander one to Ghost Commander hundred and something.
Seeing the mark that seemed like an emblem on the leader’s chest, Alex knew that he was a Ghost commander ninety. The Ghost commanders were arranged in the order of how powerful and famous they were. Ghost commander one was the most powerful and the others followed him.
Because this Ghost commander was ninety in number doesn’t make him weak at all, none of the Ghost commanders was weak.
Ghost commanders are tasked with overseeing every mission to make sure nothing goes wrong. The next in rank were Fang assassins, characterized by their black cloaks. They are highly trained killers, leaving no trace of their targets behind apart from a sign that represents their organization - a black dart.
The last are the shadow trainees. They are young people, trained to be ruthless and molded into emotionless assassins. These ranks can be increased by contributions.
“So you have heard of us,” Ghost commander ninety said, his voice laced with dark satisfaction.
Alex let out a breath and said, “Only a fool would.”
The organization was known everywhere and Hazel also knows about them, making her expression even more gloomy.
Ghost commander ninety chuckled as he turned to give Hazel a look, “I would have preferred to slit your throat the moment I laid eyes on you. But, we were ordered to capture and not to kill. You should understand the gravity of the situation here, Second beta. So I will advise you to leave before I change my mind.”
Alex did not reply. He took a step forward and stopped before Hazel, firmly expressing his stance.
Ghost commander ninety sighed, “I see you’ve made your decision. I’m surprised that you are so willing to die.”
Slowly, Alex brought out his twin daggers and held the hilt of each one in his hands.
His reputation as the Dual blade demon was no joke after all.
Alex chuckled faintly, “I want to see if you black fang people can withstand my twin blades.”
Ghost commander ninety raised his long blade, with edges that seemed like a saber.
He raised it calmly and pointed it to Alex and Hazel, before saying, “Kill him and bring me the woman.”
The air quickly turned stifling and suffocating. Hazel's body tensed as she prepared herself.
She knew there was no escaping the battle today. She had no idea who wanted her, but she wasn’t going to allow herself to be taken away.
Then in that single second, all thirty odd fang assassins moved, at once.
They charged over, attacking Hazel and Alex with a fearsome momentum that would have left anybody shaking.
Yet, Alex stood firm.
“Let’s do this together.” Hasel suddenly spoke and he slowly turned around to look at her. Seeing the firm determination in her eyes, he slowly nodded. “Don’t get hurt.
Hazel smiled, “I’m not an easy opponent.”
Then, she emerged from behind Alex and moved.
A fang assassin had his neck stabbed the moment she made her first move.
The assassin had not expected that. Hazel removed the dagger and shoved it back to the same spot. Blood flowed instantly and after a second, the assassin fell.
But that did not stop the others. They seemed to have been made not to fear death.
They charged over without stopping.
Alex moved like a hurricane, wherever he passed, two fang assassins would fall to their death. His daggers were quickly stained with blood and on the road, blood poured like spring.
Ghost commander ninety watched without interfering. He was waiting for the right time. He was waiting for Alex to get exhausted.
On his own, Alex took down ten fang assassins in a few minutes. His clothes were quickly stained crimson, but his movement gradually became slower.
The assassins were skilled, so he needed to be fast when dealing with them and that was enough to exhaust him.
Hazel supported him from behind, her moves decisions and ruthless. She was also a force to reckon with, but their opponents were higher in number.
Alex was pushed back by three fang assassins who attacked at the same time.
And Ghost commander ninety’s eyes flashed.
Then he moved.
