Nice Gentlemen

Nice Gentlemen
Elsie’s pov~

“Im guessing you know who these nice gentle men blowing up our house are?” I asked as a bullet whooshed past my head, lodging itself into the wall behind me.

Angelo didn't reply, he held my hand tight and pulled me towards a crawl space.

Somewhere I didn't even know existed, what else is this mansion hiding? More secret children? Dead bodies?

“These men are dangerous, Elsie. Now more than ever, I need you to shut your trap,” I heard him say, and I was angry.

Who the hell does he think he is? Telling me when to and when not to speak.

“Let's not forget who is in charge here Don Moretti, im not going to take kindly to your words, I'll forgive your ignorance” I said in my defence.

He in turn glared at me, “Really right now?” He asked, he dodged another bullet, leaning into me.

“Yes!” I exclaimed in a near whisper, but firm enough to assert my God-given power to make his life miserable.

“Im the boss now Angelo and I know your dirty little secret, so when you speak to me you are going to reduce your tone, I dont care if we are both about to see the death God himself, by God, I’ll make you respect me”

He was lost for words at this point but I could see he was keeping to it.

“Fine, boss” I nodded after hearing his response, “I want a detailed report of whatever shit is going on here angelo, who the hell is this gentry and what do they want from me?” I asked, and Angelo led me further into the crawl space until we got to a huge metal door.

He punched in the code and soon the door opened and we scampered in before we heard men’s footsteps approach us.

The door closed in time, and I took a deep sigh before sinking into the nearest seat.

“The gentry are a specialised unit of trained men, Elsie, they don't know loyalty, their loyalty is solely to the Chicago cabal’s interest” he started before heading to the CCTV monitor in front of us.

“I dont understand then why are they after me, I have no business with them, I don't even know who they are”

He was quiet, I watched him flustered in frustration and all of a sudden he was avoiding my gaze.

“Angelo” I called softly, something told me there was more to this.

He stuck his hand in his pocket and took out a wad of dollar bills.

He placed it on the table in front of me, "I don't want to talk about it” was all he could say to me.

I picked up the money and flung it in the air, “Is that what you think im worth?”

He turned to me and took out another wad of dollar bundles, then another and another until there were about 10 bundles on my table.

“You are asking dangerous questions Elsie, This is not the right time to talk about it”

I was instantly furious, “When exactly is a good time to tell me why trained assassins are after me, Is this about that key?” I asked.

He got up, “Stop asking questions Elsie! Not right now! We need to find a way to contact my sister and tell her where we are” he roared.

I was taken aback, This approach won't work out, he is too aggressive to reason with right now.

I let him do his thing while I looked around the small panic room, I spotted a tiger print fabric in the corner.

I walked over and picked it up, “im guessing this is one of the love dens your sister doesn't know about, and im also guessing neither does Evelyn” I smirked.

He looked at me and looked away, “That was a long time ago” he stated, I scoffed, “How long ago? Because I can still smell the stank on these, "I replied.

I expected a comeback but he just smiled, “jealous?” He asked.

I was stunned, jealous? Me?

“That's an insane thing to think of, Angelo, you know I don't care about who you sleep with, not anymore,” I replied.

“Then what are you doing still holding it, We are right in the middle of being shot to death by angry assassins and you are worried about panties, misplaced priorities perhaps?"

I went red with anger, he was trying to pull my trigger.

“Angry assassins you clearly know something about, but chicken shit to tell me, but ill figure it out eventually, husband i always do, and when i do find out you. Know something about this hit on me, I'll....”

“You’ll what?” He interrupted staring hard at me leaving me awestruck with nothing else to counter with.

“It's a bit hot don't you think?” He asked slowly, taking off his jacket.

“I think the temperature is quite fine” he ignored me, he didn't break eye contact with me either,  he reached for his shirt and slowly started to unbutton it.

Like a fucking tease….

“It's not hot, can you stop doing that?” I asked politely, looking away.

“What I want to know Elsie is why you are still holding that panty Elsie, perhaps you are a little hot too” he grinned relaxing into his seat.

“You are insane” I breathed, flinging the panties in his face, he caught them and took a long sniff.

“Then why are you so flustered? This upsets you” he teased.

“I can't believe you! God knows how many men are out there right now behind that door, who wants us dead and you think I'm horny?” I asked with disbelieving ears.

“Are you?” he asked taking his shirt off, the hair on his chest curled in ways that distracted me, memories of younger me, the stupid me, resting ontop of him as after he fucked my brains out started to slowly crawl back.

As well as my briefly disrupted encounter with Theo in the tunnel bathroom.

Another mystery I'm yet to solve.

I shook myself back to reality, realising I didn't answer his question.

“Am I what?” I asked, “horny” he asked again with yet another devious smile.

“I don't think it's ranking on my top 5 problems to solve today Angelo” I stated firmly.

But it seems every No was a yes in his ear.

He got up and walked to me, the panty still in his hand and truth, it annoyed me.

Why is he still invested in it?

Finally, the men caught up to us, and the first rain of gunshots rang on the door.

I was startled, I jumped and turned around to stabilize myself but I ended up in Angelo’s waiting arms.

“Im right here, you’ve got nothing to be scared of” he smiled softly, his green eyes looked less devious.

Almost like he meant it,

“Angelo….” he grabbed my waist and pulled me close to his naked hot body.

I could feel the heat through my thin top.

“This…” he started, raising the panty up to my face, another fresh wave of irritation hit me.

“This is yours, Elsie, don't you remember this room?”

I gasped and slowly it came rolling back, as the bullets riddled  the bulletproof door between us

I remembered the first time I came to visit my sister Evelyn, I wandered around daydreaming that the mansion was mine.

Not until I got lost in a strange unfinished room.

Where oh my God!

I looked around, “It's not!” I gasped

“This is the same room as Elsie"

In the heat of the moment, I hoped to God it wasn't.

Not the day I first gave myself to this man who destroyed me.
