Chapter 545: Gregory Makes a Bet

Logan heard the voices and immediately frowned, his eyes full of displeasure.

Before he could say anything, Samantha, standing beside him, couldn't hold back any longer. She stepped forward to protect the two little ones and scolded, "Who are you calling ill-mannered? If you can talk, why can't my kids?"

The people who were originally dissatisfied looked at each other and couldn't find a rebuttal.

They also noticed that Samantha and Logan didn't seem like ordinary people and were worried about offending them.

However, one or two still muttered, "What do these kids know?"

Though the voice was low, it was still quite noticeable in the quiet environment.

Samantha heard it and immediately glared sharply.

Just as she was about to rebuke, she felt a tug on her sleeve. She instinctively looked down and saw Gregory with a serious expression looking up at her.

"What's wrong?" Samantha's angry face softened as she looked at her obedient grandson.

The others were stunned by her quick change of expression.

Gregory, however, seemed unfazed. With a serious tone, he said, "Grannie, I want to handle this myself."

Samantha was surprised. "You want to handle it?" She repeated, feeling it was inappropriate.

She was mainly worried that Gregory, being so young, might be bullied by others.

Logan seemed to understand something and raised an eyebrow in agreement. "Since Gregory wants to handle it himself, let's let him. We'll watch from the side."

"But..." Samantha wanted to say something but was stopped by Logan's gaze.

He pulled Samantha close and whispered, "Gregory has always been steady and won't act recklessly. If he says he can handle it, he must be confident. Let's support him. If he can't handle it, we can step in. It will also be a good exercise for him."

Hearing this, Samantha felt uneasy.

She could tell what her husband was planning.

Today was supposed to be a simple outing with the kids.

Before she could say anything, Gregory spoke up first.

"Thank you, Gramp."

After thanking Logan, Gregory turned to face the people who were dissatisfied with him, his expression serious, much like a miniature Lance.

The others present felt an inexplicable sense of dread. They wondered how such a small child could exude such an imposing aura.

Gregory's dark eyes swept over the dissatisfied individuals. He pursed his lips and said seriously, "Big brothers, I know you're unhappy with me for interrupting your discussion. You think I was talking nonsense. How about we make a bet? If what I said was correct, you apologize to me. If I was wrong, I'll apologize to you."

Hearing this, the dissatisfied people looked at each other and eventually agreed.

Gregory smiled faintly and stepped forward. "In that case, let's start the puzzle now. We'll follow your plan first. If it's wrong, we'll use my plan."

"Alright, let's begin," agreed an older boy.

Soon, they started working on the Lego puzzle with great seriousness.

After all, they didn't want to lose to a child and have to apologize to him.

Unfortunately, no matter how careful they were, one mistake led to another.

As a result, they failed to complete the puzzle.

Gregory watched without gloating, standing calmly by the side.

Logan observed this and was very pleased with Gregory's composed demeanor.

Soon it was Gregory's turn to work on the puzzle.

Seeing the little guy facing the complex Lego pieces alone, some felt they were being unfair and offered help. "Do you need our help?"

"Please follow my instructions," Gregory said without hesitation and began directing them.

With everyone's cooperation and his correct steps, the complex Lego puzzle was quickly completed.

Looking at the exquisite Lego creation in front of them, everyone felt a sense of accomplishment.

However, when they looked at Gregory, their expressions became complicated.

Though they felt embarrassed, they didn't hesitate to apologize to Gregory.

"Little brother, we didn't expect you to be so capable."

"Sorry for underestimating you."

"You're very smart."

Hearing these compliments, Gregory felt a bit shy and humbly said, "Actually, you guys are great too. You just got confused for a little while."

With that, Gregory quickly bonded with these Lego enthusiasts and started discussing other complex Lego puzzles on site.

Samantha and Logan watched with indescribable pride.

No wonder he's a Mercer family child-so smart.
