Deanna followed Lance into the room.
As soon as they entered, Lance sat on the bed and began to undress.
Deanna stood nearby, sterilizing the silver needles and waiting.
Lance removed his shirt, revealing his well-toned upper body.
Seeing his impressive physique, Deanna couldn't help but recall the hug from that morning at the kindergarten.
For a moment, she felt her cheeks heat up uncontrollably.
Quickly regaining her composure, she lowered her gaze and looked elsewhere.
Just then, Lance's voice broke the silence.
"Dr. Deanna, I'm ready."
Hearing this, Deanna snapped back to reality and responded quickly, "Alright."
She pushed aside her wandering thoughts, reminding herself, "Deanna, you're a doctor. Focus!"
Calming herself, Deanna approached the bed, took out the silver needles, and began the acupuncture treatment.
The process was quiet; neither of them spoke.
The only sounds were their heartbeats, breaths, and Deanna's occasional questions.
"Does this hurt?"
"Is it uncomfortable here?"
Lance shook his head. "It's fine. I can handle it."
"If it hurts, let me know. I'll be gentler."
As soon as she said this, Deanna's cheeks flushed even more.
Why did that sound so strange...
The warm yellow light cast a soft golden glow over both of them.
In such an intimate setting, the sexual chemistry between them was electric.
Deanna felt the room getting hotter and took a deep breath.
She quickly glanced at Lance to gauge his reaction. Seeing him calm and composed, she felt relieved.
"Dr. Deanna, are you tired? If you need a break, feel free to rest."
Hearing Deanna's heavy breathing, Lance couldn't help but ask.
Deanna shook her head. "I'm fine."
Even though it was just a treatment, how could she have such dirty thoughts?
Deanna forced herself to calm down and focus.
About half an hour later, the acupuncture session ended.
Seeing Lance lying on the bed, drenched in sweat, Deanna quickly said, "Rest for ten more minutes before getting up."
Her words immediately halted Lance's movements.
Lance nodded quickly. "Alright."
Nearby, Deanna put away the silver needles and began sorting through the herbs.
These herbs had been brought over earlier and left here for convenience. But with Lance's changing condition, some of the herbs were no longer suitable.
Deanna frowned and removed the unusable herbs.
Lance lay on the bed, quietly watching Deanna.
Her serious demeanor was deeply etched in his mind, leaving him momentarily dazed.
A few minutes later, after sorting the herbs, Deanna called out, "Mr. Nelson."
In the next second, Xavier appeared.
"Dr. Deanna."
Deanna handed the herbs to Xavier. "Take these to the kitchen and prepare them for Mr. Mercer."
The assistant nodded. "Yes, Dr. Deanna."
Ten minutes passed quickly. Deanna returned to the bed and removed the remaining silver needles. Lance immediately felt a sense of relief and relaxation.
"Don't rush to take a bath tonight. Wait until just before bed."
Deanna's voice broke the silence.
Lance nodded, got up, and dressed.
With the treatment finished, they both went downstairs together.
Deanna immediately went to check on the two little ones. No matter what, she still felt uneasy about them playing with Demon.
What if something happened?
Just as she was thinking this, she froze at the sight before her.
The two little ones were playing happily with Demon while Sam stood nearby watching with a surprised expression.
Demon occasionally nudged them with its head and licked them with its tongue. Its large tail wagged lazily in front of them.
Sam was astonished. Wasn't Demon supposed to be fierce?
He widened his eyes, almost doubting what he was seeing.
"Sam."
Seeing them appear, Sam quickly approached. "Dr. Deanna, Mr. Mercer."
Lance nodded slightly. "The little ones are getting along well with Demon."
Sam smiled and replied, "Yes, Mr. Mercer. It's strange. Demon seems to really like these two little ones. I've never seen it act this way before."
"As soon as it saw them, it approached them friendly."
Xavier watched and felt even more frustrated.
Dr. Deanna was one thing, but now even these two little ones had won Demon's affection.
Hearing Sam's words, Deanna smiled and explained, "Demon's reaction might be related to the herbal scent on them."
