Lance's words reassured Deanna.
She nodded, remaining silent, and continued watching the scenes in the deep sea.
Time passed minute by minute. Neither of them noticed that their hands remained tightly clasped.
The lights came on when it ended.
Deanna quickly withdrew her hand, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Sorry."
At that moment, she wished she could find a hole to hide in.
She kept her head down, not daring to look at Lance's expression.
Lance looked at Deanna in front of him and smiled indifferently.
"It's okay."
Then, he turned to the two little ones beside him and asked, "How was it? How do you feel?"
At this, the two kids became excited again.
Gregory answered with a face full of excitement, "The ocean is amazing!"
Chloe, sitting beside him, nodded and blinked her big eyes in agreement.
"Yes, yes, Daddy, we saw so many interesting fish just now!"
"I even saw a huge shark that suddenly lunged at me."
At this point, the little girl raised her head with an exaggerated expression.
Hearing this, Lance glanced at Deanna beside him and laughed. "Really? Was Chloe scared?"
Chloe shook her head vigorously and patted her chest.
"Of course not! I knew it was all fake. A big shark can't scare me."
Hearing this, Lance found it even more amusing and couldn't help but praise them.
"It seems you two little ones are quite brave."
"Of course!"
"Exactly!"
Deanna sat beside them, listening to their conversation and feeling inexplicably embarrassed.
Thinking about how scared she was earlier made her blush even more.
She quickly interrupted, "Alright, since we're done here, let's go out."
She wanted to leave this embarrassing place immediately.
"Let's go."
The four of them walked out of the deep-sea observation hall. It was already 8:30 PM, and the sky had long since darkened.
Deanna spoke up, "Mr. Mercer, why don't we have dinner together? My treat."
"We've been playing for so long. I guess we all must be hungry. After dinner, we can go to your place for some acupuncture before leaving. You've been active all day; you must be tired."
Lance nodded. "Actually, it's not too bad. My health has improved a lot with the recent treatments. It wasn't very tiring."
"Why don't you all go back after dinner? It's getting late. By the time we finish acupuncture, it'll be even later, and the kids need to rest."
But no matter what Lance said, Deanna was very insistent.
"No way. Am I the doctor or are you?"
"I know your health better than you do. It's settled."
Deanna had a stern look on her face.
Lance smiled and said, "Alright, as you wish."
Not long after they left the deep-sea observation hall, they arrived at an ocean-themed restaurant.
The four of them sat down and started ordering food.
Soon, the dishes were served.
Since they were hungry, the two little ones ate very quickly.
Watching them gobble down their food, Deanna couldn't help but laugh. "Eat slower; no one is going to take your food."
At that moment, a waiter approached them.
"Sir, congratulations! You are our 100th table today. Here is a small gift for you."
It was a small jellyfish keychain.
It looked very cute.
Lance handed it to Deanna. "You should have it."
It wasn't quite suitable for a grown man like him to carry it around.
Deanna smiled and accepted it. "Alright."
...
After dinner, they took the two little ones directly to Mercer Manor.
Lance instructed Sam directly.
"Get them something to drink and take good care of these two kids."
Sam nodded. "Yes, Mr. Mercer. I understand."
As soon as they sat down, Lance turned around and saw the two little ones poking their heads around curiously.
Seeing their expressions, Lance couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong? What are you looking for?"
Gregory smiled and replied, "Handsome Uncle, where's Demon?"
Hearing this, Lance understood.
"Demon is on the other side. Why? Do you want to see him?"
The two kids nodded vigorously. "Yes, Handsome Uncle, we want to see Demon."
Since their last visit, they hadn't seen Demon again.
They had always remembered Demon fondly.
"Alright, Sam, take them over."
Hearing this, Deanna quickly reminded them. "You can go see Demon and play with him, but don't overdo it, okay?"
"When Demon gets playful, he can be a bit rough. Be careful."
After reminding them, she went upstairs.
