Deanna and Lance followed along, accompanying the two little ones on their tour.
Through the enormous glass windows, a variety of fish swam by.
The two children pressed their faces against the glass, watching with excitement and wonder.
"Wow, Mommy, that fish is so big!"
"Daddy, look quickly!"
At this moment, the four of them stood together, looking like a real family.
Deanna smiled at the children's calls but didn't correct them.
After passing through the long glass corridor, they arrived at the beluga whale performance hall.
Seeing the belugas, the two children became even more excited.
Each grabbed Deanna and Lance's hands and ran towards the center seats.
"Mommy, it's a beluga whale!"
"Wow, this whale is huge."
Seeing their excitement, Deanna couldn't help but laugh.
"Don't get too excited, sit down and watch properly."
Shortly after they sat down, the performance began.
A beautiful beluga whale leaped out of the water and splashed back in, sending up a spray of water.
Under the trainer's command, the beluga waved and did flips, delighting the children even more.
Then, the trainer's voice echoed through the hall.
"Next, we will invite two lucky audience members to come up and interact with our beluga. Any volunteers?"
Immediately, the two children stood up and raised their hands high, eager to be noticed.
The trainer pointed at them. "Alright, these two little friends."
The children cheered and held hands as they walked to the stage.
Deanna called out, "Be careful."
These two were always a handful.
On stage, they showed no fear, approaching the beluga boldly.
They touched and examined it, laughing joyfully.
"You two are so brave! And so cute," said the trainer.
After the interaction, each child received a beluga figurine as a gift.
"Thank you!"
Leaving the performance hall, the children were still buzzing with excitement.
Holding their new toys, they chatted animatedly about their experience.
"Mommy, you have no idea how cute the beluga was up close!"
"Yeah, it's so smart and can understand people!"
"I wish we could have a beluga at home..."
Hearing their innocent wishes, Deanna chuckled.
"Belugas belong in aquariums and the ocean, not at home."
She glanced at her watch. It was almost 8 PM. Time to head home and rest.
Just as she was about to speak, Gregory's voice interrupted. "Mommy, there's a deep-sea observation area over there. Can we go see it?"
He looked at the distant exhibit with keen interest.
"Gregory, it's already late..."
Before Deanna could finish, Lance agreed. "Sure."
Deanna looked at Lance as he explained.
"It's a rare visit. Let them see it."
With that, Deanna couldn't refuse and nodded. "Alright."
The children cheered. "Yay!"
After buying tickets, the four of them entered.
Inside was a cinema-like space with spacious seating. Each seat had its own viewing device for observing deep-sea creatures.
The experience felt immersive, like diving into the ocean.
They chose their seats and sat down.
Gregory and Chloe sat together while Deanna sat beside Lance.
A few seconds after sitting down, deep-sea scenes appeared before them.
The ocean was filled with various strange fish she had never seen before.
The images changed to reveal some particularly ugly fish.
Deanna watched intently, captivated by these deep-sea creatures.
Suddenly, a giant toothy shark swam rapidly towards her.
The viewing device made it feel incredibly real, like a 6D effect.
Seeing the shark coming straight at her, Deanna was startled.
"Ah!"
She reached out instinctively and grabbed Lance's arm, her face pale.
She didn't even realize what she was doing.
Lance was momentarily stunned by her sudden action.
The warmth from her hand... instinctively, he didn't push her away.
Instead, he held her hand back and reassured her. "Don't worry, it's not real."
His gentle tone was something no one else had experienced from him before.
