Chapter 1101: Deanna Looked Familiar

In the blink of an eye, another week had passed.

During this week, Deanna's health improved significantly, and she could at least get out of bed and walk around. However, because the baby was still unstable, she didn't dare to move too much and mostly stayed in her room.

Logically, if she and Dayton were about to break up, she shouldn't want this baby to come. After all, having this child would create more ties between her and Dayton.

But a voice inside her told her that this baby was important and that she would regret it for the rest of her life if she lost it.

Because of this, her feelings toward Dayton were very complicated.

She didn't care about him, so why did she care so much about this baby?

Dayton had no idea about Deanna's internal struggle. Seeing that Deanna's health was improving, he decided to prepare to return home. If he didn't go back soon, his parents would come over and personally drag him back.

He didn't want to lose face in front of Deanna by being caught by his parents.

So, on a sunny day, Dayton took Deanna on a rented helicopter and returned to Sunhull. By the time they got home, it was already noon the next day.

As soon as they entered the living room, Dayton was warmly greeted by his mother, Mrs. Poole, who had missed him dearly.

"You rascal, you finally decided to come back!"

Mrs. Poole patted Dayton's back while looking him up and down, then nodded with satisfaction. "Not bad, you're in one piece. It seems you didn't get into trouble abroad."

Feeling the pain from his back, Dayton grimaced. "Mom, take it easy. If you keep hitting me, your son will be crippled."

He wasn't exaggerating; Mrs. Poole had been a national volleyball player in her youth and had quite a strong arm.

Frankie, standing nearby, looked disdainful. "You can't even handle your mom's strength? How weak are you?"

As if you could handle it! Dayton thought but didn't dare to argue.

Deanna stood aside, watching the warm interaction of the family with a smile on her lips. It was clear that this family had a strong bond. She also seemed to understand where Dayton got his unreliability from.

While she was lost in thought, Frankie noticed her and looked surprised. Dayton had always been a playboy but had never brought a woman home before. According to him, unless it was for marriage, there was no need to bring anyone home.

Mrs. Poole also noticed Deanna at this moment. "Son, aren't you going to introduce this young lady?"

She spoke while scrutinizing Deanna from head to toe. When her gaze fell on Deanna's pale face, she couldn't help but frown. This girl didn't look very healthy.

Deanna raised an eyebrow at Mrs. Poole's words. It seemed that Dayton's parents didn't know about her. She looked at Dayton with puzzled eyes.

So they had been dating without telling his family?

Facing their curious gazes, Dayton remained calm and walked over to Deanna, putting his arm around her. "Mom, Dad, you've been urging me to find a girlfriend, right? Actually, I've been hiding something from you. I've been dating Kamila for years."

He introduced them to each other. "Kamila, these are my parents. Mom and Dad, this is Kamila; we were college classmates."

Out of courtesy, Deanna greeted them. "Hello, Uncle and Auntie."

As she spoke, she subtly freed herself from Dayton's embrace. For some reason, she seemed to reject his closeness.

Mr. and Mrs. Poole were stunned. They hadn't expected their son to secretly have a girlfriend for years while they thought he was single and were anxious for him to find someone.

Mrs. Poole suppressed her displeasure and warmly greeted Deanna. "Since Dayton calls you Kamila, I'll call you Kamila too. You've been through a lot these years; we had no idea he had a girlfriend."

Frankie also sighed beside her. "This kid usually can't keep anything hidden but managed to hide such a big thing from us."

Both of them glared at Dayton.

Dayton awkwardly rubbed his nose.

Mrs. Poole started chatting with Deanna. "Where are you from? Are your parents in the country? Since Dayton brought you back this time, are you planning to settle down?"

Deanna didn't know how to answer these questions and looked at Dayton for help.

Before Dayton could speak, Mrs. Poole looked at Deanna with uncertainty. "You look familiar... And why is your face so pale? Are you feeling unwell?"
