Chapter 99 Mr. Nelson’s End
"Hello, I'm here for an interview. I've already made an appointment with the HR manager," Amelia said to the busy receptionist as she approached the front desk.
"May I ask for your surname?" the receptionist, who was busy on the phone, looked up at Amelia.
"My name is Amelia Harris."
"Alright, please wait a moment."
Two minutes later, the receptionist who had hung up the phone led Amelia to a small conference room on the eighth floor.
"Miss Harris, please wait here. The manager will be here shortly."
"Thank you!" Amelia nodded as she took her seat.
After about five minutes, a woman in a uniform walked in.
She was under thirty, with decent features, and her already attractive figure was accentuated by the uniform, making her even more eye-catching.
"You must be Miss Harris, right?"
The woman sat down across from Amelia, and a hint of admiration flashed in her eyes. What a beautiful woman!
"Yes!" Amelia stood up and greeted, "Thank you for giving me this opportunity to interview!"
"No need to be polite, Miss Harris. Please have a seat." Abigail nodded slightly. "I have reviewed your resume, and it matches the requirements of our company's marketing manager to some extent. I have a few questions to discuss with you face to face today."
"Alright!" Amelia sat back down.
The two of them communicated for about ten minutes, and then Abigail stood up.
"Miss Harris, I'm pleased to inform you that your first interview is considered successful. Now, I'll take you to the second round."
"Thank you!" Amelia's face brightened.
Five minutes later, the two arrived at the entrance of a large office on the thirty-eighth floor. Abigail knocked on the door and led Amelia inside.
"Mr. Nelson, this is Miss Harris,"
"I brought her for interview!" Abigail looked at a rich second-generation man sitting on the couch and drinking red wine, and spoke.
As she spoke, she unintentionally locked the office door.
For her, the initial meeting with Amelia was just a formality.
After receiving Amelia's resume yesterday and looking at her photo, she placed the resume on Mr. Nelson's desk as instructed.
This was the established process between her and Mr. Nelson. Mr. Nelson had already instructed her that any woman who came for an interview in the company and had a good appearance should be brought to him for a second round of review.
The so-called second round of review was actually Mr. Nelson's way of selecting, to see if anyone could please him.
Before this, she had brought no less than ten beautiful women for the second round of review, and almost all of them were coerced by Mr. Nelson directly in this office.
Since the entire process would be recorded by Abigail, and Mr. Nelson would also provide a generous sum as a settlement fee afterwards, the majority of the women chose to remain silent.
Even if a few individuals didn't succumb to the threats and chose to report it, Mr. Nelson always managed to get away with it through his family connections.
"Miss Harris, hello!" Mr. Nelson pointed to the sofa across from him. "Please have a seat!"
His eyes ravaged Amelia for a while, with a deep passion flashing in their depths.
Indeed, she was the number one beauty in CUG city without a doubt, an exquisite beauty among mortals!
"Thank you."
Feeling the invasive gaze from the other party, Amelia furrowed her delicate eyebrows, then went and sat on the sofa. "Miss Harris, hello!" the rich second-generation lit a cigar and took a puff. "I've heard about your beauty long ago. Seeing you today, it's truly amazing. Those so-called first-line celebrities can't compare to you!"
"Huh?" Amelia was slightly taken aback. "You know me?"
"The world-famous number one beauty, how many people wouldn't recognize you?" As he spoke, he poured a glass of red wine from the coffee table into a wine glass.
"Miss Harris, this wine was brought back for me by a friend from overseas, it's really good. Give it a try!"
"I'm sorry, I don't drink alcohol." Amelia frowned her eyebrows again.
"Miss Harris, you don't respect me?" Mr. Nelson spoke with a hint of disappointment.
"Sorry, I'm allergic to alcohol, so..." Amelia responded again.
"Miss Harris, I'm a bit disappointed in you!" Abigail, standing beside them, spoke up. "Since you're here for a marketing position, shouldn't you at least know some basic business etiquette? Mr. Nelson offered you a drink, you should show some respect, right?"
"Well..." Amelia spoke again.
"Miss Harris, let me be frank with you!" Mr. Nelson looked at Amelia's stunning appearance.
"It seems like I can't wait any longer." As he spoke, he picked up a check from the coffee table and handed it to Amelia.
"I fell in love with you at first sight. If Miss Harris is willing to be my woman, these five million dollars will be yours. In addition, you can start working at the company tomorrow. I appoint you as the Director of Marketing with a monthly salary of one hundred thousand dollars!"
After he finished speaking, Mr. Nelson lifted his glass and took a sip, his lips curling up as he stared at Amelia.
Prior to this, he had used the same method to break down the psychological defenses of several women, taking the initiative to undress in front of him.
He thoroughly enjoyed this feeling, finding it exciting and fulfilling!
"I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm suitable for this job!" Amelia naturally understood what was going on after hearing this.
After saying that, she got up and headed towards the door.
"Miss Harris, since you've entered this office today, it might be a bit difficult to leave just like that!" Mr. Nelson said with a faint smile.
As he spoke, Abigail had already approached Amelia.
"Alright, stop pretending. If you think the money is not enough, suggest a price yourself. Considering how beautiful you are, as long as it's not an outrageous demand, Mr. Nelson will agree to it!"
"I'm sorry! I'm not the person you imagine me to be!" Amelia said angrily, reaching for the door handle.
However, the door was already locked by Abigail, and no matter how hard she pulled, it had no effect.
Her heart sank, and she quickly took out her phone and dialed Liam's number.
The phone rang once, but Abigail snatched it away and hung up, then raised her hand and slapped Amelia across the face.
"Don't act so high and mighty! Everyone in CUG city knows what kind of person you are. You still don't know which man is the father of your child, do you?"
"You..." Amelia glared at her.
Before she could finish her sentence, Abigail slapped her again.
"If you don't sit back down on the couch obediently, I promise to turn you into an ugly woman!"
At this moment, Liam called, but it was once again hung up by Abigail, who then turned off the phone.
"You bastard!" Amelia shouted angrily. "Let me out right now, or you will regret it!"
"I've lived this long without knowing the meaning of regret!" Mr. Nelson strolled over. "Serve me well for once. Not only will you earn money, but you will also gain a high-paying position. What's stopping you from enjoying it?"
As he spoke, he grabbed Amelia's wrist and led her towards the couch.
"You bastard, let go of me!" Amelia shouted loudly.
However, Mr. Nelson completely ignored her and forcefully pushed her onto the couch.
