Chapter 20. Get well soon
POV Author.
The doctor who handled Calix was of course very confused by what was going on.
An ordinary fever might indeed recover within three days, but this is dengue fever! It's five days at the fastest, and even then it doesn't heal completely like what the doctor saw.
Really couldn't believe what was happening. What's more when Calix whined asking for the infusion to be released from her hand.
The doctor and the two nurses looked at each other, but Cynthia didn't care about that. Cynthia felt that this was natural and normal because she considered her child's immune system to be strong.
Cynthia did not want to bother about this problem. Most importantly, isn't the child healthy?
The doctor cleared his throat and glanced at Cynthia briefly. “If that's the case then we'll be going first, madam. If you need anything, you can press the bell above the gurney as usual."
Cynthia nodded, she would wait for her son to fully recover first. If indeed there are no new complaints Cynthia will take him home.
While the two nurses kept whispering along the hospital corridor. After it was rumored that red blood is now dengue fever only cured in three days? Akh, part of less than three days.
How did the little boy do it? Of course, the medical team thought this was absurd, but Cynthia thought this was normal.
"You saw for yourself, right? I told you that little boy is very strange, his blood is blue! But the doctor denied it and said that it was ink. If it was ink, where did the man get it? I don't see ink there at all," Luna explained to her co-worker.
“If that's the case, everyone here also believes what the doctor said, what blood is blue anyway? Have you watched too many of your dramas?” said the nurse with the plump body to Luna.
“Hey! Don't bring my favorite drama, where did he get the ink anyway? Neither I nor the doctor used blue ink when examining it, the ink was never left behind. Isn't that weird?" asked Luna while looking closely at her friend.
“I don't care about that because I believe it's ink. It's just that I'm still curious about her very strong immunity," she said, looking at Luna with a gaze as if demanding clarification. Luna saw that her friend was steady with confusion.
Did her friend ask Luna for an explanation? What does Luna know? Besides, isn't it unacceptable that Luna's opinion is that the blue spot is blood?
Then why was her friend staring at her as if asking for an explanation?
'Why are you looking at me like that?' Luna stopped her steps and looked back at her friend who was now looking at her seriously.
"Weren't you the one who helped take care of him when he first entered the hospital? You should know what happened, right?” Luna was increasingly embarrassed by her friend. Why didn't she just ask Cynthia earlier? Cynthia's mother, wouldn't the information obtained be more accurate later?
"Your question is really strange! I do not know. What do you mean by that anyway? Up to this point, I feel that something is wrong," Luna replied.
Now the two nurses are back at work again, but no matter what the news goes as fast as the wind, now at the hospital the medical colleagues are discussing what happened to Calix.
Yes, about the speedy recovery, now all the medical colleagues in the hospital know what's going on.
Coincidentally, it was also lunchtime, meaning their work activities were paused. They kept using that time to find actual information about Calix.
"She said until this afternoon if there are no complaints you can go home, right?" another nurse asked her colleague.
“The news that I heard was like that, I heard it earlier when the doctor was talking with his fellow doctors. Also, the account just met Luna earlier, because they said Luna was with them at that time."
"Then what did Luna say? I'm very marketing with what happened. Because there was news that made everyone feel strange before this incident."
"Luna said it was true, she said the little man had recovered from his illness, even when there were no complaints from the patient, before the break the doctor had seen him." Answered the gossip nurse.
"Know where you are?"
“Luna! I know from Luna. For now, I don't know where he is. If only he was here, maybe he would explain everything, if indeed this afternoon that man came home, isn't that a magic man?” The nurse immediately groaned when someone hit her with a folded book right on her arm.
The punch had no taste at all, it was just a reflex. "What are you doing, Dy? You just ruined the mood!” grumbled the person she had hit earlier.
“Surely you're talking about a child who can be healed in an instant? Even though it's not ordinary heat. If it was normal heat it might not be as hot as this, but this is dengue fever whose incubation period can be weeks, ma-”
The nurse's words immediately stopped when she saw Cynthia in administration holding Calix who was already fit.
Cynthia immediately paid for the hospital fee, which of course indicated that the doctor had allowed her to go home, more precisely, she had declared her recovery.
The nurses looked at Calix and Cynthia in disbelief, how could they go home? That's a sign that Calix has recovered, right?
"I really can't believe this!"
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Luna is currently finishing her lunch and heading to the room where Calix is staying. Yes, the room is empty, that's a sign that it will soon be neatly packed again for the next patient.
For some reason, Luna immediately entered the room, when she got to the bed, Luna was again stunned and looked at the bed confused when she again found blue stains on the sheets. Isn't that weird?
Yesterday just seemed to not exist, so now? Luna was sure what she was seeing was blood, yes, Calix's blood.
But no one believed Luna. Maybe it's only crazy people who believe in it. Does blue blood exist?
"This is very strange! Yesterday I checked there was nothing here, so now why suddenly?” Luna pulled up the sheet and stared closely at the blue stain.
It looked like it was a fresh stain because Luna could still feel the moisture on the stained cloth.
