Chapter 19. Shocking

POV Author

Luna, who listened to the doctor's words, only smiled awkwardly at Cynthia.

"Again, my apologies, Mrs. After this, let Nurse Luna replace the new sheets."

Cynthia nodded faintly, the woman breathed a sigh of relief, she had just been thinking no-no, but finally, now everything she was afraid of was nothing.

Where's the blue blood anyway? Only ink!

"Yes, Doctor. Thank you too," replied Cynthia with a faint smile, Cynthia also gave a faint smile to Luna who was currently standing awkwardly.

An uneasy feeling also hit Luna's heart, she shouldn't have thought that way, but somehow she still believed in her opinion that it was blood.

"Is it ink?" muttered Luna, the woman still couldn't believe what the doctor said. She always wanted to defend her own opinion.

"That's it, it's all clear if it's just ink, I'll excuse myself to work again then." The doctor immediately said goodbye to Cynthia to return to work. Meanwhile, Luna was still stunned in Calix's room.

Cynthia looked at Luna confusedly while she was still focused on the blue stains on the sheets. What exactly does Luna want?

Isn't it obvious that it's ink? Then why does she still insist that it is blood? Accidentally the eyes of the two met, then Cynthia looked confused at Luna.

"What is it? I mean, how do you say it's blood?” asked Cynthia who seemed to be demanding an explanation.

Moreover, Cynthia had also heard that Luna was being talked about. What is in front of her? What's wrong with that nurse? Her behavior was so strange!

“I'm sorry if you feel uncomfortable, madam. I'm going to change the sheets, wait, okay, I'll get a new one first.” After saying that Luna immediately ran away leaving Cynthia.

Meanwhile, Cynthia continued to stare at the nurse in confusion. To her, Luna's character was indeed very strange.

Cynthia is now heading to the side of the bed where there are stains, the woman is observing her. "Unlike blood, how can she say this is blood?"

“Mom… drink,” Calix said quietly.

Cynthia immediately looked at her son who had woken up from his sleep, Cynthia took the water that was on the nightstand and then helped her son to get up.

"Is there still pain?" asked Cynthia with concern.

Calix shook her head as an answer, indeed her body seemed to have improved quite a bit from yesterday. Of course, this made Cyntya relieved.

“Are you hungry, Calix? What do you want to eat? Let me look for it?” offered Cynthia to her son.

“Calix wants to take a walk, Mom. It's very boring here,” Calix said. And at this moment Luna came back with clean white sheets.

"Wow, you're awake, huh?" said Luna as she walked towards Calix.

"Would you like to change rooms first, madam?" asked the nurse kindly.

"No need, I'll just sit on the sofa while feeding my son," Cyntia replied with a faint smile. Luna who saw that smile now felt relieved, luckily Cynthia wasn't angry with her for her opinion. If Cynthia gets to make a report to the hospital, then Luna will be finished!

Cynthia immediately helped her son to get up from his bed and then walked to the single sofa in the inn.

Cynthia fed the food she brought earlier, but her son kept refusing. "I don't want to eat, Mom!" Calix said. The man covered his mouth with his palm, indicating that he didn't want to take a bite from his mother at all.

“Just a little to get well soon, Calix,” said Cynthia, trying to persuade her son. After finishing her assignment, Luna had a little chat with Cynthia about Calix's appetite, then Luna immediately said goodbye to go back to work.

Meanwhile, Luna took the dirty sheets to the landfill to be washed. Luna also continued to pay attention to the blue spots which were indeed quite a lot.

Luna even sniffed the stain to make sure what she said was true.

But it's a pity, her nose also doesn't smell of blood or ink. Luna didn't notice any smell.

"Very strange, if the ink still smells," she muttered

Since then, Luna has often visited Calix's ward to see the blue stain again, Luna has also checked many times but still nothing. Is it ink?

The next day, the doctor returned to the inpatient room to confirm laboratory tests. But instead of doing the test now, the doctor looked at Calix confusedly.

The doctor looked at Calix's face, which was no longer pale like yesterday as well as Luna and one other nurse.

"Are you feeling better, Doc? Didn't the doctor say he would do a laboratory test?" asked the other nurse who was now looking at the doctor and Luna confused.

Indeed, the doctor had sent Luna and another nurse to accompany him. The doctor knew very well that yesterday Calix was still sick, or not as healthy as now, so the doctor suggested another laboratory test.

But somehow the story is that now Calix is healthy while looking at the doctors in confusion. It's the same with Cynthia, but the difference is that she doesn't care about that, the most important thing is that now her child's condition has improved. Of course, Cynthia was very happy about that.

"Does your body still have pain?" asked the doctor to Calix who was staring at them while enjoying the cake in his hand.

"I'm healed, I can run again. Does the doctor want to race with Calix?” asked the little man innocently.

"But how can dengue fever be cured in three days, isn't that too short?" said the stocky nurse beside Luna.

"Depends on endurance, right?" asked Cynthia who now joined in interrupting this conversation.

“I can also feel that now my child is fine. He was also able to smile again. If it recovers, can I take it home?” asked Cynthia.

The woman hopes that her child can return home at this time in an improved condition so that he can be reunited with his brother and sister. And most importantly her son doesn't feel the pain anymore.

“It looks like it has recovered, but please wait until noon, madam. If your son's condition is down again, we can take immediate action," explained the doctor.

Cynthia smiles happily, she hopes Calix has recovered properly so that her son doesn't feel pain and can talk again as usual.
