Chapter 25 Planting The Idea.

Jayden

I held her shoulders, and I stared into her eyes.

“Don't tell me that you are actually acting like this. I'm worried about you. I came to the pack house, and got beaten up because I was trying to warn you, don't you think that's enough reason to believe me?”

I swallowed. "He hasn't clarified what he wants with me, but I don't think he wants to harm me. I mean, you needed to see how–"

I scoffed, letting her go with such a force that caused her to actually worry. She groaned, and staggered for a few seconds, but she immediately got her stands.

She seemed to glare at me, making me feel remorse, but she was annoying me like crazy.

“Why would you think I would be lying to you? Do you know the legend? I have been in this pack longer than you, but you don't seem to trust me. Why?” I asked with raised brows and she lowered her head.

I knew I had made her feel bad, but that was probably the end, using guilt against her.

“Look at how battered I was. Do you think I would go that far to lie in your face? You don't seem to know me because if you do, then you wouldn't be doing this.”

She went silent, and the way she lowered her head showed she was processing. However, the more she stayed silent made me feel even more worried about the whole thing. I didn't even know what else to say about it.

“What do you want me to believe? Do you know how scared I am? I didn't even know what to say…”

I moved closer to her, and immediately grabbed her hands on my shaky ones.

She seemed to be worried about the whole thing. It seemed like I was also scaring her, but I would do anything to make sure she understands what is going on with me. I didn't care how it happened, all I knew was that it was surely going to make sense.

I wished there was a way to make sense of the whole thing. I didn't know how else to be able to make things work out.

“You have to make me understand how things are. I'm scared. I don't want to make a bad decision, I'm confused. How can my own mate find me just to kill me.”

I nodded, still not breaking eye contact. I needed her to trust me, to trust every process I am willing to take her through.

"I know you're scared, but you have to understand that you need everything to fall in place mainly.”

She nodded, exhaling as I tried to explain to her, but the truth was that she didn't know what I had in mind. All I knew was that she wasn't going to make things difficult for me.

Naida was going to trust me no matter the situation. I knew she would.

"What do you think we should do about the whole thing?” She finally asked.

"What do you think we can–" I placed my index finger on her lips, and stared into her eyes. This time my gaze was getting intense, and the tension in the room felt a bit hotter than usual.

“I know a witch. I have said this to you earlier. She's able to help us, but you have to go with me. You understand right?" I explained, and she immediately nodded. It seemed she was getting convinced.

“What do you think the witch is going to do?” She kept asking questions, and I was forced to make things easier for her to understand.

"She's going to help us eliminate him, so we can be happy, I mean, so you can be safe.”

Naida exhaled, but I knew it didn't sit well with her because she was mostly absent minded as I spoke. It was almost like she was like there was something wrong and I didn't know what else to do about it. It was all my fault.

“I wish there was a way to make things work out, but I don't think there's a better way to make things work," I tried to elaborate, but I watched how she collapsed into the chair, her mind still going haywire.

“Would you rather have him kill you?"

Naida immediately snapped her head towards my direction, and I was forced to wonder why the decision was so hard for her to make?

She didn't need to do any of the dirty work, and once we were done we could leave without leaving a trail.

“I don't have anywhere to go. We don't know how it's going to end up. What if it does end up badly and there's nothing we can say about it, hmm? What if we die?”

I scoffed. "We'll be careful, and you don't have to worry, nothing will go–”

"Have you killed someone before because you seem kinda confident about this."

I smirked. “Maybe… no.” I admitted when I noticed that she was almost pale.

"I haven't but it's not going to be too hard if the witch helps us. You don't have to worry, I'm sure she's strong enough. You don't have to…”

Well, despite all I had said to her, she seemed to still be in thoughts. It was obvious that there was already a lot involved.

“I wish there's something you can tell me. I really hope you can make me feel happy again by letting me help you. I wish you nothing but goodluck, but you can't do this on your own."

Naida nodded. She had lost the ability to speak due to fear. Maybe she just didn't like what was going on, but I didn't really care. I wanted to make sure that I am able to bring it to pass.

“You really have to think about Naida, make a choice. There's no time!"

I tried to apply pressure, and she was eventually folding until she exhaled.

“I'll think about it, I promise…”
