Chapter 24 Access Granted.

Jayden

It had been two days since she was supposed to come to me, but it seemed like she had the plan to. Or had he done something to her? I was unable to think straight.

Yes, I was planning to make a move, but I wasn't expecting things to get this serious. I wished there was a way for things to happen, but I didn't know what else to say. I was just confused.

“Maybe he has stopped her from leaving the pack house," I said with a serious look on my face. My expression was really strong. Despite the pain I still felt from his strong punch, I found myself being stuck.

"Do you know if she's in trouble, maybe we should go check her out,” I explained to my wolf who had been trying to hold me back. He was trying his best to be able to make sense of all that was going on, but I didn't know how else to be able to explain all that had been going on in my head.

Just not being able to see her in two days made me almost go crazy. I was confused, overwhelmed.

“You need to relax, and take your time. You're in no time ready to face the alpha, do you hear me? You aren't supposed to do things like this."

I was shocked, so I exhaled, waiting for him to explain to me because I wanted to understand what was going on.

"Well actually, you have been beaten by the alpha before. We don't want to go to him without protection. He's going to kill us off, and no matter what we do, we might not be able to fight him back.”

My wolf was actually smart, he was right, and I exhaled. Hoping she would come soon, else I would be forced to make sure that I go there.

As we thought, I immediately heard a knock on my door, and I crossed lines formed on my expression. My eyes turned dark, and I gritted my teeth.

What the hell was wrong with that girl? I had told her that I didn't want to see her. I used to entertain her in the past.

Not like making love to her or anything, but I'd let her in, and then allow her to actually do the laundry just because she wouldn't let me be until she did it. Sometimes she would prepare soup, and other times great meals I didn't even have to plead for her to make things work out.

But ever since Naida came into the picture, I didn't see her anymore. I fisted my hands, chest pacing as I clenched my teeth.

It didn't take long before I walked towards the door. I was so pissed, and my hands were curled into fists. However, I took a deep breath to calm myself before opening the door.

As soon as I opened the door, I stood frozen. I tried to speak but words were failing me. It wasn't who I had been suspecting, but it was someone unfamiliar.

“Excuse me, do I know you?" I had to ask despite the aura being so easy to detect. There was a giggle. I wasn't really expecting the giggle but since it happened, I didn't really have a choice. I tried my best to be able to control myself at this time.

"I can't believe you don't recognise me…” she struggled to remove the mask, and stared at me with raised brows. There was definitely a lot going on inside her mind, but she still maintained that lovely smile that blew me away.

I stood frozen until she furrowed her brows in confusion when after what she said, I didn't make a comment, then she waved her hands in my face. Well I wasn't thinking this would happen, but at the end of the day, it finally happened, she was able to get to me.

"Hello?”

I shook my head to return me back to reality. "I'm sorry I did try to reach out to you. I was–"

She didn't waste time listening. She made sure to look around before walking into my house which forced me to close the door.

"There's no need to worry. I knew you wouldn't be able to come back. I was so worried about you,” she rushed towards me, and held my face to which I winced a little, but I wasn't going to lie, that was the best feeling of my life.

“How were you able to come here? I know his eyes are on you every single hour, right?" He asked, and I nodded, exhaling.

"I got a little help from my maid.”

Her words caused my face to turn pale. She shouldn't tell me she was already trusting everyone. It wasn't supposed to be so, and I didn't even know what to do about it.

"No, no, don't tell her you told her everything. What if she tells the–"

She shook her head. “Can you relax?" The moment those words left her lips, I found myself being calm. It seemed like she had some kind of spell on me.

"Of course I told her something, but believe me, she's on our side. She's covering up for me while I'm here. I have an hour.”

Her words caused my face to brighten up. The kind of happiness I felt wasn't something I actually understood.

"Well ThankGoodness, so have you thought about what I told you. You have finally seen the truth right? What do you plan to do about the whole situation hmm?”

I exhaled. " I don't know yet. I don't think he's that bad, I mean, he punched you, but I still haven't seen any signs, it's almost like I'm being scared for nothing.”

I immediately felt my heart beat skip, and I found my mind raging. If only there was a way for me to be able to be able to explain.

“Luciver seems so calm. There's something about him. I just–”

I grabbed her shoulders, staring at her right into the eyes. I knew there was this emotion I saw. She was still unsure, she still doubted me, and why wasn't good.
