Chapter : undefeated prowress

Cara pov

Alpha Black was a strong alpha. Even though he likes to bite and run, it doesn't mean that he is weak. He chooses to hide his power and feign weakness so as to make you underestimate him, but it wasn’t for me. I have lived with him, and I know him and every trick he has up his sleeve. That was why I poured my strength in our first clash. meeting his charge head-on. Our blades clashed, the force of the impact sending a shockwave through the air.

My sword vibrated from the impact. The force pushed me two steps back, but he only took a step back. To show you the disparity of strength.

“foolish girl, you think you can stand against the Master’s will?” he snarled, his strength pressing against mine. As he charged for the second time.

I had even underestimated him again. His strength was way above mine, without my bloodline being active. His words made me reconsider this Master from the western district. If alpha Black van willingly serves him as hid slave, that goes a long way to tell how powerful he was.

“I think I can do more than that,” I replied, pushing back with all my strength.

The battle between us was fierce, each strike more brutal than the last. But I refused to back down, drawing on every ounce of power within me. I choose to fight him with my power. I was no longer an Omega , even though deep inside me, I have the genes of Omega, but the bloodline is also an intricate part of me. During the first time my bloodline had awoken, there was a fight with it and my Omega bloodline, but I guess the weaker one bowed.

So I was an omega by birth, but I am jow much stronger than an average alpha. What really helped me more was my training with julia or Emelda. She is an old and experienced cupbearer, so training with her had opened my eyes to the limitless control of my bloodline.

With a shout, I broke out from the close duel, jumping high in the air, I called forth the air around me to help me suspend in air. I was not flying, but I borrowed the surrounding air for a while. In as much as it takes concentration and stamina, I wanted to rely on my abilities to defeat Alpha Black.

My elevated position let me survey the battlefield, and it seems like our situation was not looking so good. The enemy were using their numbers to their advantage, and if it continues, it won't be long until we are defeated.

With a surge of strength, I separated from him to help my people, but in a flash, he blocked my way. “Where do you think you are going Cara, it's rude to leave an elder waiting for action”.

I gritted my teeth in frustration, Alpha Black was powerful, and the remaining two Alpha were also as powerful. Grreth was fighting with one, while the Emilly handled the other one, the remaining one was being handled by Emma together with their mates, even though they were not like Garreth that could match an Alpha, even i don't know the real depth of Garrett powers. But they provided side support to Emma, covering her blind spot.

But that was it. I could sense a very strong power inside the fortress. It was hiding biding its time, and that was why I didn't want to overextend my abilities.

“Have you seen how foolish you were to think a tree can make a forest, hahaha”

He laughed, sensing my delima, and he walked towards me in a relaxed posture. His hands behind him.

“You are evil, choosing to betray your people just because of what, protection, you are already powerful, so don't tell me it's because of protection that you choose to serve him, betraying your people.”

“You can say anything you like, but I know my reasons” alpha black replied, unaffected by my outburst.

“It's because you are a coward,” I said, stopping him in his tracks. “That's what you have always been.”

I could see the anger brewing in him, but I didn’t care this time. I had angered him.

“Nice one, Cara, sometimes I am amazed by your strength. You were supposed to be a strong cupbearer under the masters banner, but unfortunately, no one defies him and lives. I have seen it, and I can tell you that you have condemned yourself the time you thought of rebelling his rule.”

Was that pity, ir concern, or was it just plain sarcasm, I couldn’t identify his emotion. But he was no longer pressing me again. His expression suddenly changed, and before I could open my mouth, I heard an ear splitting sound like a whistle.

From the joyous shouts of the enemies, I finally knew that whatever the whistle was, it was not a good sign for us, and my guts were right.

Tropes of hardened warriors scaled down the fortress walls to join in the fray. I immediately became on alert as the powerful presence I had felt before moved.

“Everybody be careful” I warned immediately, assuming a careful serious stance. like a flash a figure with a spiky hair entered entered the battlefield.

Untold anger threatened to blind my vision, as I saw red. Instinctively, I moved to welcome him with my sword.

“You will die!!”

I rushed with great speed, but he casually dodged my charge, spotting a playful smirk like he was just doing some exercise.

“The young bride, you have become stronger and merged with your fire” what he said made me pause for a while.

He knows about the fire. But Julia said that it was a closed guarded secret that nobody knows about except selected few, how cone this mysterious powerful spiked rogue knows about it, and from his words, he just doesn't know the basics.

“Are you surprised?” he smirked, "Don't worry, when you are taken to meet the master, you will understand everything.”

“Understand what? you murderer!!” I shared at him, but he dodged every of my advances with ease, like he was just taking a stroll. Alpha black, who was now free, have gone to help the other Alphas, putting imerse pressure on Garreth, who was now facing two alphas, with the likes of Alpha Black. But he was still holding on.

“It was a necessary sacrifice, my young pureblood, you will understand in due time” he casually said, still relaxed and not in a hurry to end the fight.

I didn’t have that luxury. If this war doesn't end anytime soon, it will spell doom for us. Tapping into my fire,”you called killing my parents a necessary sacrifice!.

I saw red. I charged my sword, coating it with fire, I swung with great force catching him by surprise. He took half a step back, surprise clearly written on his face.

But that only increased his smile.

“Nice fancy move, young pureblood, you keep on surprising me”

Then, like a lion released from a cage, he started fighting back. I was barely struggling to keep up with his attacks. But I had not tapped the full potential of my bloodline, I was still hesitating because even if i have the confidence to defeat him once I enter my full bloodline mood, it won't guarantee us winning this fight as there was still alpha black. I was saving my trumpcrad for the right time.

The future was looking bleak for us. The people were already tired, being forced to fight an unending fight. If one dies, two replace his place. Their morale was low, and the commanders had their hands tied with the alphas, plus alpha Black that was already powerful, roamed free throughout the battlefield.

The tide of the battle began to shift against us. It was a helpless situation. My warriors rallying behind me were filled with desperation. I closed my eyes, “I am sorry Brian”. I projected through the bond.

But when it seemed like there was no longer hope again for us, the sound of snarls and a deep howl pierced through the battlefield. The howl sounded familiar, but I couldn’t place it. But the shout of Emily said it all.

“Brother!!!”
