Chapter 129: Fight of survival

Chapter 129: Fight of survival

Cara’s POV

The Bluecreek Pack loomed ahead of us. The fortress ahead of me was nothing like the pack I grew up in. Its borders are marked by tall trees and a faint trail of smoke rising from within. From what I have heard, they were a combination of the Alliance. The merging of different neighboring packs and their Alpha into what they called the Alliance. It was them that led the attack on the mafian wolf pack. We had come for our revenge.

I stood on a small hill overlooking the whole pack. the weight of the moment pressing against my chest. Behind me, a sea of rogue warriors stretched far, and they faced a mixture of determination and uncertainty. These were my people now, the Mafian Wolf Pack. The ones that remain to be exact. They had reluctantly accepted me as their Luna, and I knew some of them still doubted me.

But I would prove them wrong.

Garreth stood at my side, his presence a steadying force. He had become more than just an ally, and more than a friend, he was my anchor in a storm of doubt and fear. His sharp eyes surveyed the horizon, his stance rigid and ready for whatever lay ahead.

I exhaled slowly, my breath visible in the cold morning air. Our scout had just come back with news that the river barricade that we had planned to set up has been mounted successfully. Bluecreek’s warriors were trapped within their own pack, cut off from food and now water.

“Now let me see how you will survive without water.”

The first day, they had not taken us seriously, they had laughed at us, as a weak delusional set of rogues, but setting up a barricade to cut them off their food chain had never occurred to them. Every track road and usable channel was cutted short. After that was done, no one left or entered their pack for three days, but they were still proving stubborn. I had to do the only thing that would force their hand, deprive them of their water source. I re-channeled their water source.

I had given the order, and my warriors had carried it out with precision. Yet, even with this small victory, my heart felt heavy.

As I stared at the borders of Bluecreek, memories from my childhood flooded my mind. Before the pain, before the betrayals, there had been moments of happiness. I could almost hear the laughter of my younger self, running through the woods without a care in the world. Back then, the world seemed simple, kind.

But those days were gone, and the woman I had become had no place for such softness.

I clenched my fists, pushing the memories aside. I couldn’t afford to dwell on the past. The present demanded my focus, and the future demanded my strength.

Three days passed in tense silence, the warriors of Bluecreek growing weaker by the hour. They had tried to send scouts, desperate to break through the barricade, but we had stopped them every time. I knew it was only a matter of time before they were forced to act.

And then, on the fourth day, it happened.

A distant rumble of their fortress gate reached my ears, growing louder with every passing second. My sharp eyes caught movement beyond the trees, and soon, the warriors of Bluecreek began to emerge. Their numbers were vast, their ranks bolstered by rogues, and the four allied Alphas with their warriors matched out. They were the alliance who had come together for the sole purpose of defeating the rogue king, which is Brian. They had pledged their loyalty to the Master.

The sight of them sent a chill down my spine. For a moment, I felt my heart waver. Their numbers were three times our number, and that is just the warriors that came out. What about the ones inside? but I stood tall. This was the moment we had been preparing for.

“They’re coming,” Garreth said beside me, his voice low but steady.

I nodded, my gaze never leaving the approaching enemy. “Let them.”

The Bluecreek warriors lined up in formation, their faces gaunt and determined. Hunger and desperation had driven them out of their safe haven, and now they were ready to fight for survival. Just like we had fought for our survival.

I could make out the outline of Alpha Black and two other Alphas. He was fully dressed in his warrior attire. He came forward “I need to speak with your leader.”

His loud voice reached where I was, slowly but surely, I walked out, making myself visible to them. The look of surprise flashed in his eyes, but it was gone.

“My dear Cara, this should not escalate to this stage. We are still a family, once a blue creek, always a blue. Remember that phrase”.

My heart shook. I clenched my fist, I knew what he was trying to do, but it would not work. He is trying to plant a seed of doubt in me, but I was not hearing such bullcrap.

I turned to my warriors, raising my voice so it carried over the crowd. “This is it!” I shouted. “They’ve come to take what’s ours, but we won’t let them. This is our land, our fight, and we will not back down for revenge.!”

A roar rose from my warriors, their resolve solidifying.

I drew my blade, pointing it at Alpha Black. the weight of it is familiar in my hand. He was now the enemy. With a sharp cry, I charged forward, and my warriors followed, their battle cries echoing through the air. He rallied his warriors, and together, they started running towards the opposing crowd.

The two forces collided with sound and fury. The clash of steel and the growls of wolves filled the battlefield as blood stained the ground beneath our feet. The long-awaited battle has begun.

I moved through the chaos with precision, my location clear. I was making my way quickly to Alpha black. every strike was calculated, and every movement was deliberate. My aura flared around me, a beacon of power that inspired my warriors and struck fear into my enemies.

A rogue lunged at me, its claws bared, but I dodged with ease, driving my blade into its chest. Another came from the side, but before it could reach me, Garreth appeared beside me together with Emily. We are the strongest members, so we will be facing the alphas, cutting it down with a swift strike.

“We’ve got this,” he said, his voice a steady anchor amidst the chaos.

I nodded, my focus never wavering. “We have to.”

The battle raged on, the line between friend and foe blurring as bodies fell on both sides. The Bluecreek warriors fought with a desperation born of starvation, their movements wild and unpredictable. But my warriors fought with purpose, their loyalty and need for revenge, and driving them forward. They fought viciously.

In the midst of the chaos, Emily and Emma, the two sisters, were like two red devils. Their movements are perfectly synchronized, complimenting each other. Their mates weren’t far behind. They helped to make way so that we would reach the alphas quickly. They were like brutes with massive strength, a testament to the bond they shared.

But even as we held our ground, the sheer number of our enemies began to take its toll.

A war cry from the enemy side sent a shiver down my spine, and I turned to see one of the allied Alphas charging toward me. His massive frame was covered in scars, his eyes glowing with the power of his wolf.

“I got this,” Garreth said to me before he turned into a massive brown wolf. meeting with the alpha head on.

I braced myself against the impack, as i ran past the two wolves that were viciously tearing into each other.

“Leave this tunt for me”

“Let me show a stupid alpha how to be an alpha”

The two sisters chose their target, separating to meet them, leaving me with Alpha Black. Who stood with a complicated expression. But I don't care, at this point , I was seeing red. Letting out a war cry, I charged at him.
