Rosalina's Point of View

"Can you believe Nichole acting like she wants to stay here to get to know you? I wanted to tell her to leave. I swear she is a phony bitch. The only reason she gets away with it is because she is the king's and queen's daughter. Well, I guess you are really their daughter. Maybe now I can beat her ass without worrying about consequences. I mean, I am basically your sister in law," Kelly said. It was Monday morning, and Kelly and I were in her room getting ready for school. I ended up spending the night with her because we stayed up late watching movies.

"Even though she is not their biological daughter, she is still their daughter. They raised her, her entire life. I don't think it's a good idea for you to touch her," I said

"I guess you are right, but you need to watch out for her. Jason is cool, but Nichole is a bitch. You need to watch out for her," Kelly said. I knew she was right. I remembered how she pushed me into the pool and almost drowned me. I knew she was untrustworthy,

"I know. I didn't want her to stay here, but I could tell Scarlet was happy when Nichole said she wanted to get to know me. I know she wants us to get along like sisters. I knew if I told Michael and Scarlet that I didn't want anything to do with Nichole, that would hurt their feelings. They have been through so much. They thought I was dead ever since I was a baby. I couldn't even imagine how sad they must have been.

"I get it, but be careful around her. I am not exaggerating when I say that bitch is evil," Kelly said

"I will," I replied

"I got your back," Kelly said.

After we were ready, we headed down to the dining hall to get some breakfast. Once Kelly and I got our food, we went to a table and started eating.

"Rosalina, hey," I turned to see Nichole standing there.

"Hello, Nichole," I said

"Kelly," Nichole said

"Nichole," Kelly replied.

"Do you mind if I sit with you?" Nichole asked

"No, have a seat," I said. I looked at Kelly to see if she rolled her eyes. It was obvious she didn't want her to sit with us.

"I wanted to apologize to you, Rosalina. I am sorry for pushing you into the pool. If I had known you didn't know how to swim, I never would have done it," Nichole said.

"Then, why didn't you help me when you realized I couldn't swim?" I asked. I remembered drowning, and Nichole and her friends just stood there watching.

"I honestly didn't know you were drowning. I thought you were joking. If I had known you were drowning, I would have helped you. I hope you believe me and can forgive me," Nichole said. I just looked at her.

"It's all in the past. Let's keep it there," I said.

"I am so happy you feel that way. Mom and Dad would be upset if we didn't get along," Nichole said.

"Good morning," Jason said as he sat down at the table.

"Good morning," I said

"morning," Kelly said

"Good morning, brother," Kelly said.

"Aur... I mean Rosalina. I was wondering if you would like to go out to dinner with me tonight?" Jason asked

"Sure," I replied with a smile. I really did want to get to know him. He was my brother after all.

"Great!"

"I think this is perfect, us going to dinner together," Nichole said, and I looked at her. I honestly didn't want to go to dinner with her. I didn't trust her after what she did at the party

"Um, actually, I was hoping it would be just Rosalina and me," Jason said, and a frown instantly made its way to Nichole's face.

"Oh,"

"I just wanted to spend some time with Rosalina. Next time, you will come with us," Jason said

"It's okay, Jason. I get it," Nichole said. I could tell her smile was forced. She was upset that she wasn't invited to the dinner with us. Kane showed up a few minutes later. "Good morning, everyone," Kane said as he sat next to me at the table. Once we were finished eating we left for school. I drove with Kane, Kelly decided to drive herself and Jason and Nichole took their limo. Jason wanted me to ride with them but I chose to ride with Kane. I could tell Nichole was happy about that.

"Why is there a car following us?" I asked

"Those are the royal guards King Michael assigned for you," Kane said

"Why would he do that? I don't need any guards following me," I replied

"Rose, you have to understand that you are a princess and the future ruler..." Suddenly, Kane was quiet.

"What do you mean the future ruler?" I asked

"Um," Kane became quiet and I knew he was keeping something from me

"Kane, what do you mean?" I asked

"You and Jason are twins but you are the oldest. The oldest pup of the king is the only one who can take over and rule the werewolf kingdom."
