I could tell King Michael and Queen Scarlet were upset. I understood why they were. My mom made them think that we were dead and kidnapped me but she was the woman who raised me my entire life. I didn't want them to hurt her.
"Please don't hurt her," I said, and they looked at me. "I know my mom was wrong, but I don't want anything to happen to her," I said
"Your mom," Queen Scarlet said. I could tell it hurt her when I called Tina my mom by her facial expression
"I am sorry. I didn''t mean to hurt your feelings," I said, feeling bad
"No, sweetheart. You have no reason to feel bad. Tina is the one who raised you your entire life. She is the only mother you have known," Queen Scarlet said and I stayed silent. "We won't kill her but we can't let her go for this. She took you from us," Queen Scarlet said
"I understand," I replied
"Does your father know about this," King Michael asked Kane
"No. He believed they were both human. He is going to be shocked when he finds out about this," Kane said
"We need to call him back. They need to come back immediately," King Michael said
"Wait! We can't let Tina know that we know what she did. If she knows we are looking for her, she will run," Queen Scarlet said and I knew she was right. My mom would run if she knew she was in trouble.
"I will just tell him that something came up in the pack and he needs to get back immediately," Kane said
"That should work," King Michael said. I couldn't stop thinking about what they planned to do to my mom. Were they telling the truth when they said they wouldn't kill her, or were they just saying that so I woudln't worry? My mom wasn't the best, but she was the only woman I have known as my mom.
Kane called Jeffrey and told him that something happened in the pack and he needed to come back. Jeffrey said they would be back in the next two days. King Michael planned on coming back as soon as they arrived.
"Great! Now that that is taken care of. I would like to get to know my daughter," King Michael said
"So would I," Queen Scarlet said
"I would like to know my sister," Jason said
"Me too," Nichole said, and I looked at her. "We are sisters after all," Nichole said. I knew she was trying to start a problem with me. She didn't like me or want to get to know me.
"I would like to know you all as well, King Scarlet and King Michael," I said
"Just Scarlet."
"And Michael." I just smiled at them
"Now let's pack your bags. It's time for you to come home," Michael said
"No!" Kane replied and everyone looked at him. "She can't leave,"
"Why is that?" Scarlet asked
"Because she is my mate," Kane said
"What? She is your mate?" Are you sure?" Nichole screamed. It was obvious she was unhappy.
"Of course I am sure," Kane replied
"I don't trust her here with Tina. She has to come home with me," Michael said
"You can't take her away. She is my mate. I can't live without her," Kane said. I could tell they were both upset. Both ready to fight for me. I knew I needed to do something before someone got hurt.
"Calm down, please. I know you are worried about me but I want to stay here with Kane," I said honestly.
"They are mates, Michael. We can't keep them apart," Scarlet said and Michael sighed
"Fine but we will leave some of the royal guards here with you," Michael said
"I will stay here too," Jason said and I looked at him
"I want to get to know you, and it would be good for me to stay here so I can make sure you are safe," Jonathan said
"That is a good idea," Michael said
" I would like to stay here too. It would be nice to get to know my sister," Nichole said. I wanted to argue, but Scarlet spoke
"That sounds great. It would be good for all of our pups to get to know each other," Scarlet said. She sounded so happy, I didn't want to ruin her mood. She had been through so much for so long.
"Sure, that sounds great," I replied. I knew I was going to have to watch Nichole. I wasn't a fool. I was sure she was up to something. Whatever she was planning, I would be ready for her. I had read so many werewolf books. I wasn't going to let her play me.
