Chapter 21 Chapter 7.3
I was about to close my door when Desmond entered. I stepped back because he looked very angry. He was wearing shorts, but he had no shirt on.
“What do you think you're doing? Why did you enter my room?!” he shouted. I could almost smell his breath because of how close he was to me. I looked down. It was really my fault why I saw what they were doing. I shouldn't have interfered, I shouldn't have looked to see if he was asleep or if he was okay.
“I'm sorry, I didn't know.” I answered while looking down.
“I thought you weren't coming home? Mom told me you weren't coming home. Why did you come home?!” is this why he called his mom earlier? He wanted to make sure I wasn't coming home so he could do what he wanted.
“I just wanted to know if you were okay, if you weren't drunk again.” I answered. I heard the woman laugh. She approached us, wearing only a silk dress.
“Is she your wife? She seems to like you, she's too worried about you. Even though it's night, she still comes home to make sure you're okay.” The woman said with a smile. I looked at her, she was beautiful, with fair skin, long hair, and tall.
“I don't like him. I just want to make sure he doesn't drown himself in alcohol again. I'm just worried that he'll leave the house when he's drunk. That's all, don't give it any meaning.” I explained, but the woman just raised her eyebrow at me.
“Fix that, Desmond. What I don't like is when I'm left hanging. Tell your wife. I only come home here once in a while.” The woman said sarcastically and then left. I looked at Desmond when he grabbed both of my arms.
“Didn't I make it clear to you not to enter my room? Next time, don't think about me. What do you care about what I do? We're just married on paper, so don't feel like a wife. Don't do the obligations of a wife. Tell me, do you like me already?” he asked angrily. I met his gaze. It was as if he would kill me at any moment.
“I don't like you. I thought you loved your girlfriend, why did you bring a woman here?”
“She's my girlfriend, Heaven! Macie is here!” he answered. I nodded. So she's his girlfriend. It's good that they're together so he doesn't drown himself in alcohol anymore.
“I'm sorry if I bothered you. Go back to her. I'll just leave early tomorrow so you won't see me. You should have just booked a hotel and told me that your girlfriend was back. I wouldn't stop you from seeing her.” I said annoyedly. I don't watch porn, but I've watched live. They didn't have a blanket earlier to cover their private bodies.
“You won't tell mom, anyone in my family. You won't tell them that I brought Macie here, do you understand?” I nodded and then pushed him out of my room.
“Don't worry, I won't say anything. I'll zip my mouth. I don't care what you do, just don't drown yourself in alcohol. What if you get drunk and leave the house, do you want to increase your race?” I teased. He cleared his throat. He's really cute to tease.
“What are you two doing?” Desmond and I looked at Macie at the door at the same time. She was looking at my hand, so I also looked at what I was holding. I was holding Desmond's chest because I was pushing him out of my room. Desmond was holding my hand that was holding his chest.
We both removed our hands from each other. I went into my room and then closed the door. I just blew out air. Why did I have to see that? I shook my head. I really won't open that room ever again.
I lay down on my bed and then forced myself to sleep.
The next day, I left the house early so they wouldn't see me. I just messaged Desmond that I would just go home to my family so he could have Macie all to himself.
When I arrived at the company, there weren't many people yet because it was still early. I just went to the pantry to make coffee and eat bread. I didn't eat much so I could leave early.
After a few hours, Desmond replied.
\[No need, Macie and I will just book a hotel. Go home, don't leave without me knowing.\] I just rolled my eyes. Why do I need to ask his permission? What does he care where I go? He can leave freely, and then I need to ask his permission?
“Heaven,” I looked at my co-worker.
“Why?” I asked.
“Are you trying to flirt with Sir Zachary and Sir Desmond?” I frowned at what she said. I was also looking at one of her companions. I know them by face, but I don't know their names. No one talks to me here, so I just keep quiet.
“Where did that come from?” I asked them. One of the women raised her eyebrow at me.
“Someone saw you. You came out of Sir Zach's car, he took you here. Someone also saw you enter Sir Desmond's office. Are you a slut?” my ears perked up at what she said. Why do I forget that they like Sir Desmond?
“I'm not doing anything wrong, I'm not flirting with them either. Sir Zach took me because I delivered the documents he needed to him. I know Sir Zach because he's my former boss. As for Sir Desmond, I entered his office because he ordered me to. If you don't want to believe me, just ask them. I don't have time to flirt with them.”
“We know that you also like Sir Desmond, you're just pretending you don't. There will be many of us for you to face if you cross the line.” They threatened me and then left and went back to their working stations. What would they feel if they found out that I'm the wife of the man they admire?
I just shook my head at myself. I don't plan to say that because Desmond and I will also separate.
