Megan’s POV
“Zac,” I called to the man who was kissing a young girl.
The young girl who was on his lap immediately turned her head and looked at me in confusion. She was probably wondering who I was and what my relationship with Zac was.
“Go away,” Zac ordered her. Before leaving, she buttoned up her shirt and straightened her hair, which was a little messy.
After she left the room, I quickly closed the door. When I turned around, I saw Zac lighting his cigarette.
“Young girl again? Are you hypersex?” I asked, a little jealous.
“She’s the girl who just came in this morning. That’s the rule. I don’t want to talk about it. What’s going on?” Zac asked, puffing cigarette smoke into the air.
Ah, he was so sexy.
“I want to ask something from you,” I said as I walked toward him and sat on his lap. I caressed his chest that was not covered by a single thread, and then my tongue traced his neck and ended up on his lips. I gave him a brief kiss as I pulled his hand to land on my breast.
He immediately squeezed them gently while occasionally playing with my nipples until I moaned softly.
“What do you want?” he asked.
“Umm, can you buy me an apartment in downtown? There’s an apartment block I like that’s right next to the mall. Please,” I pleaded with the twinkling eyes of a child persuading a parent to comply with his request.
“I thought you live with your grandma. What’s going on?” Zac asked curiously.
“You’re right. John Smith is not my real father. Unfortunately, my grandma found out about it and she kicked Mom and me out a few days ago. Now I live at Freddy’s house, my real father. It’s just that I feel uncomfortable living in his house because it’s cramped and there are no facilities like in my grandmother’s mansion. Therefore, I hope you’ll be kind enough to buy me an apartment. For me and your baby,” I replied as I licked his ear.
Zac took my hand and kissed my palm. “That’s easy. I’ll contact their marketing team. I’ll let you know in a few days.”
It was that easy to ask him for something. Apartments in downtown are very expensive and it was easy for him. Insane! Unbelievable! That means the rumors I heard about Zac are true and that he has a lot of unexposed wealth.
However, it all made sense. The illegal business he ran makes a lot of profit and, of course, he hides all the profits carefully to avoid trouble with the police. Her life is complicated and full of mystery. But, as long as he could give me whatever I wanted, I didn’t care where the money came from.
“You’re not joking, are you?” I asked with a big smile as I released my hand from his grasp and hugged his neck.
“No, I’m not. Just an apartment is easy for me. Is there anything else you want? But I have one condition,” he asked with a sharp look in his eyes.
“What?” I asked curiously.
“You must take good care of the child in your womb. He is my only heir. What you may not know is that before I have sex with other women, I always take contraceptives pill so it’s impossible for those women to get pregnant. Only you got pregnant. As I promised before, you can ask for anything, marry anyone, but you must take good care of the child. Understood?” he asked firmly.
To me, the look in his eyes was scary. Sharp as a knife. I froze, staring at him in silence. He wasn’t joking about this child and all his words. I must not act rashly or my fate might turn into a nightmare.
Giving birth to this child might be easy, but if Ethan doesn’t want to acknowledge this child, then I’ll be forced to be single rather than my other potential husbands also not being able to accept this child and eventually causing problems that endanger me.
“Don’t you have anything to say?” he asked.
“U-umm, I understand. I will take care of and love this child. You don’t have to worry. Oh, one more thing. When will you do our plan?”
“In the next few months,” he replied.
“Have you found a place to keep the two children?” I asked.
“I have. But, I won’t tell you about the place now. Once I’m done, they will be your business. I’ll leave all the responsibility to you. I warned you before that Jay is no ordinary man. His father was one ruler of the black world before he died and now that power has passed into his hands. If you want to change your mind now, I would be thrilled,” he said.
I stood up and walked away from him. “I won’t change my mind. Once rowed, two islands are passed. If the twins aren’t around, Jay and Piper’s relationship must be strained because the twins are everything to them. Make one of them feel guilty about the loss of the twins so that the longer the guilt lasts, the worse their relationship will be and they’ll end up going their separate ways. I knew Piper and Jay’s characters very well. After they split up, it was my chance to step into Jay’s life. Our child’s life will be secured if I live with him.”
“Ah, I can already guess your line of thinking. I will give you guys some funds so that he will lack nothing and even live in abundance. I just want you to marry a good man who can protect you and my child. Because if you continue to be with me, I’m afraid your safety will not be guaranteed,” he replied.
“But can’t we be together forever?” I don’t know why I asked her that.
It was a strange request, but it made sense. It’s just my little heart saying that I’d rather live with him. But, it seemed like it would be difficult to do.
“Yes. Your life will be in danger if you’re with me. Don’t mind me and live well. Now go home and wait to hear from me,” he pleaded.
“Call me if you need anything,” he said.
“I will. Thank you, Zac.”
Finally, within a week, I could move into the apartment unit Jay had bought me with all the furniture and he had also transferred some funds into my account. Now all I had to do was tell Ethan about my pregnancy while waiting for Zac to act. Everything was done smoothly. I was thrilled.
Three months later
Piper’s POV
The day went on as usual. My pregnancy was getting bigger. Jansen and Jessie were desperate for their little sister to be born sooner, even though I had explained to them it was impossible.
That morning, after breakfast, something unusual happened. Jessie and Jansen asked Jay to take them to school. Before even getting into the car, the twins hugged me tightly.
“Mom, we love you so much,” the twins said.
Usually, they just waved their hands and said ‘bye, mom’. But that morning was different. I thought what they did was just a spontaneous reaction because they were happy until the car driven by Nick drove away and they were still waving at me through the open car window.
“I love you too,” I yelled.
