Helen didn't think Mona would have a gun in her hand. Mona shot her with a crossbow bolt, and she wasn't ready for it. When the dagger she was holding fell to the ground, she screamed in pain. The few powerful men behind her were shocked, and Helen yelled at them, "Are you all blind? Come help me!" 

The guys ran ahead to get the kids, but at that moment, Leo took advantage of the chance outside the warehouse. The bodyguards broke in through the windows after getting an order. These crooks had never been in a position like this before. The bodyguards promptly calmed them down when they were in shock. 

Taking advantage of the situation, Mona and Conan quickly went forward to liberate the kids from their ropes. 

Helen pulled something out of her palm that looked like a remote control and said, "Stop!" 

Everyone stopped what they were doing. Helen scowled at Mona and said even though her arm hurt, "I told you so, there are bombs buried in the ground in this warehouse.

Let's all go to hell!" Her eyes flashed with madness, and this look really scared everyone who saw it. 

Conan walked up and said, "Don't be rash. Let's talk about it!" 

Helen laughed and continued, "I said I want to marry you! Let’s get married right now and get the marriage certificate. I know what the Gray can do.”

Okay. Yes," Conan said right away. "I'll marry you as long as you let the kids go." 

Helen squinted her eyes, which were full with danger, as if she were thinking about what he said. She smiled after a moment and said, "I can only let go of two out of the three kids.

It's up to you.”

Conan got really mad and said, "I won't choose! Let all three of them go, or we'll all perish together.”

Helen hesitated instead because he was so sure of himself. She smiled at Mona from the side and said, "miss Granger, if you kneel down and bow to me three times, I'll let go of the three kids.”

Conan got even irritated when he saw Mona giving him a look that told him to say something. Right now, saying something for her would only make Helen more upset. If she really set off the bombs... They couldn't afford to take that chance. 

At that moment, Mona saw Leo discreetly getting ready on the second floor of the warehouse. Leo moved to the side in a way that made it clear he was holding a sniper rifle. 

Mona recognized what he wanted when their eyes connected. Leo used to be quite interested in shooting and even got some credentials related to it. He was a great shot. He was ready; all he had to do was wait for her to get Helen’s undivided attention. 

With this in mind, Mona moved closer and made fun of Helen. "Do you have any other skills besides going after kids? You might think I'm a pain in the neck, but you only threaten me with bombs. You're really sad." 

Helen was mad, just Mona thought she would be. Helen raised her hand to hit Mona, but at that moment, a gunshot rang out. The bullet went through her hand, which was holding the remote control, and broke it. 

Helen screamed in anguish, held her hand, and collapsed to the ground. 

Mona didn't even look at her once. She quickly stepped forward to remove the kids from their restraints and held them warmly in her arms. 

"Don't be terrified, mommy is here.” She softly to Luke and Rue and patted their heads. "Mommy will protect you." 

Luke and Ruw only cried after that, clinging on to Mona’s neck tightly and not letting go. 

"Mom! The woman stated that if we moved, she would kill us and our parents. I didn't go anywhere. I don't want to get hurt!" Rue was crying so hard that her little cheeks turned bright red and she couldn't catch her breath. 

Mona’s heart hurt when she heard what she said, and her eyes filled with tears. Luke pulled on Mona’s sleeve and pointed out a few places, saying, "I saw them burying things here..." 

Mona’s face got serious, and she said. "First, let's get out of here." 

At some point, Leo also came down and removed Luke from Charlotte's arms. "Let me take one." 

Mona thought about it for a second and then said yes. At the same time, Conan’s eyes had become red. He hit one of the tough men in the face and made him spew blood. He wanted to hit him a couple more times, but he stopped because he was afraid about the kids. He picked up Stefan and ran outside. 

One of the top bodyguards tried to grab Helen, but she surprised him by opening her eyes. She even gripped the knife in her palm more tightly and lunged at the bodyguard with a lot of force. Fortunately, these bodyguards have been doing this for a long time. 

As soon as Helen opened her eyes, he quickly grabbed her wrist, took the knife from her hand, and even rolled her over and pinned her down on the ground.

"I won't let any of you get away with it! I'll never forgive you!" Even though Helen looked like a mess, you could tell she was really angry. She kept calling Mona’s names. 

Mona stepped up to her with a blank look on her face. She looked at Helen with disdain for a bit, then suddenly slapped her hard in the face. Half of Helen’s face puffed up right away. 

She looked at Mona with hate and said, "Do you think it's that easy? Don't be concerned. Someone will get back at me.”

Mona was only thinking about her kids at the time, so she didn't get what Helen was really saying. She said with a blank look on her face, "I will do everything I can to make sure you spend the rest of your life in prison.”

Mona went back to the kids. She sincerely thanked Leo outside the warehouse, saying, "Thank you for your help just now. Thanks.”

Leo looked down, his eyes heavy and deep. "Were the things you just said to Helen true?" 

Mona was quiet for a time before giving a wry smile. "If I hadn't said those things, she would have been focused on the kids.”

“Did you simply lie about everything you said?” Leo’s voice got frigid. 

Mona nodded right away. 

For a second, Leo’s face seemed strange. But all of a sudden, Luke blurted out in a shaky voice, "Mom, my hand hurts." 

Mona quickly bent down to look. She noticed that the area around Luke’s injury had gotten a lot bigger, and there was even a purple bruise forming around the joint. It looked quite bad. She didn't have time to waste on Leo, so she quickly picked up Luke and ran to the car. 

At that point, as she turned around, she didn't notice that Leo had quietly put something in his pocket.
