Chapter 34: Josiah

I am fuming mad when I entered the room. Everyone seemed bothered at how hard I slammed the door as I got in.

Sage, who is my classmate for this subject, looked at me with a weird expression as I pulled the chair beside him.

“Wassup?” he asked as he played with his pen.

I took a deep breath. “Nothing,” I replied, refusing to tell him anything because I know how annoying he could be when he knows something.

He raised his brow and I know that would ponder on it more than I could even imagine. This guy is annoyingly gossipy.

“I don’t believe you, dude.”

I rolled my eyes and kept quiet as I tried to calm myself.

I cannot believe how Eunice could do that to me! Did she just blatantly leave me for Kyle fucking Kim? Damn it!

“If this is about Eunice and Kyle Kim then I think you somehow deserved it,” Sage chimed like it was nothing.

I gave him a deadly glare. “Are you even my friend?” I asked him in disbelief.

He gave me a look and shook his head. “You know you hurt her when you broke your promise for her, dude. Don’t be so unfair to her. She deserves a rebound after experiencing what you did to her.”

Rebound?! Why does she need a rebound? I am her husband!

I messed my hair and almost punched my arm desk. “Damn it,” I cursed.

I can’t even think clearly.

Every time I try to think, I can only see how that fucker Kyle Kim held onto Eunice’s hand in public. Damn it! How can he do that in public? I haven’t even held her hand in public!

“Your fault, dude. Don’t blame it on Eunice now because as I see it, she’s the one who fucked over by you…” Sage said and the professor came in.

All throughout the class, I was thinking of how I could make it up to Eunice. I am also thinking about how confusing my actions are and how I have broken her trust when I told her I will end things with Hannah but ended up comforting her anyway.

I am also thinking about Eunice’s reaction last night. Her actions have kept me up all night and I don’t even remember how I was able to sleep after seeing her impassive face.

Why is she not mad at me? Why did she act like there was nothing between us? Damn. I wanted to ask her but I was scared she wouldn’t even give me a look.

And then the next morning, I see her with that fucker, holding hands?

Is he the friend Nela was talking about who fetched her from our house?

Damn. Did she tell him our address? Fuck!

“Yes, Mr. Josiah Kim? What were you mumbling over in your seat?”

I was slapped with reality when I heard my name being called by Mrs. Yang. Damn it.

Sage nudged me and nodded at Mrs. Yang’s way.

She’s staring at me with a raised brow, looking like a terror teacher that she is on her clean bun and color yellow uniform. “I hope you’re mumbling about the shift in demand and supply in my problem,” she said in a sarcastic voice.

I sat properly and didn’t answer. I know that I shouldn’t because if I did, it will only fuel her anger making her lecture on us for the rest of the class.

“Hmmm…” Mrs. Yang pursed her lips in a thin line and gave me a glare before continuing with the topic.

It was so boring that I almost yelled in triumph when her class ended.

Sage looked at me and smirked. He showed me his phone screen.

My eyes widened when I saw pictures of Eunice and Kyle Kim on our university couples page. I immediately yanked his phone and scrolled at the photos.

And there I saw my wife holding hands with the fucker she said she was already ignoring. She was even laughing at him as she was talking.

I read the whole post.

The Queen of Pharmacy Department has fallen with The Prodigy of the College of Law!

Just this morning, Eunice Lee (Pharmacy Department) is seen holding hands with Kyle Kim (College of Law). The two were also seen in a café near the university having some sweet cup of coffee before riding together in Kyle Kim’s car driving to school.

They were also seen having an intimate moment in the hallways of the Department of Pharmacy when Kyle Kim walked Eunice Lee to her class.

Has the Pharmacy Queen finally fallen?

Attached with the post are the photos of Kyle Kim and Eunice in a café, a picture of Eunice entering Kyle Kim’s car in the highway, several pictures of them in the parking lot and more pictures of them holding hands in the hallways.

I thought I’ve seen it all but my blood almost boiled when I saw a video of Kyle Kim caressing Eunice’s face before planting a kiss on her cheek. Eunice didn’t even push him. Kyle Kim smiled at her and told her something making her blush.

Fuck this shit.

“Dude, you’re going to make my phone bend now,” Sage said as he took his phone from me.

I glared at him.

He raised his brow. “Why are you mad at me? Do I look like Kyle Kim to you?”

I clenched my fists and gritted my teeth.

Anger ran through my system as I reminisce how Kyle Kim kissed Eunice and how she blushed at his touch. Damn it!

“Stop the jealousy. There’s no room for you to be jealous, Jos. You know it,” Sage said and I glared at him once more.

“I don’t need you to continue reminding me about it, fucker!” I hissed.

He gave me a tired look before shaking his head. “Are you girl? Because you’re confusing as fuck.”

I rolled my eyes. I just want to kill Kyle Kim right now. How dare he touch her that way?!

Sage stood up, taking his bag. “Work on your feelings, dude. Stop putting the blame on Eunice now. She’s not doing anything wrong,” he spat before leaving me.

I took a deep breath and tried to clear my head. I shook my head and stood up. I can’t calm down right now.

Not when all I can think about is how Kyle Kim touched my wife’s face. That fucker needs to back off!

I ran towards Eunice’s classroom. I don’t care if she’s still in a class right now. I need to talk to her. I need to know the truth.

Is she already dating that son of a bitch?

Is she already his girlfriend?

Well, if she is then…fuck it! She can’t be!

It can’t be!

I stood near the door and saw that the class is in a group work. Eunice was facing the door so she immediately saw me. Her eyes widened momentarily before looking away.

I took my phone out and typed a message.

Me: Come out now. We need to talk.

I looked at her and saw that she took her phone out from her bag and read my message. Her forehead creased as she read my message. I watched her type and when she looked up, my phone immediately vibrated.

Eunice: I am at class. Talk to you at home.

I raised my brow. At home huh?

Me: This can’t wait. Do you want me to drag you out of that room now? Because you know I can.

I saw her taking a deep breath before placing her phone inside her pocket. She talked to one of her groupmates before standing up, walking towards me.

She gave me a lazy look. I am aware that some of her classmates are looking at us now but the hell I care. I need to talk to her badly.

I held her wrist and pulled her towards the janitor’s closet. It is the only secluded place where I think we can have our privacy.

“What are we doing here?” she sounded mad. She looked at me, glaring.

I clenched my teeth and pinned her on the wall, trapping her in between my arms.

She was taken aback. I can see how her gaze softened when she saw my angry expression. “What do you want?” she asked in a strained voice.

“Are you dating Kyle Kim?” I asked her back.

She looked at me, confused. “No. Where did you get that?”

I raised my brow. “Why were you with him this morning?”

She rolled her eyes and tried to get out from my grip but failed. “Let go of me,” she hissed.

“No,” I said in a serious tone. “I want you to answer me first, Eunice.”

I need her to answer me before I lose my fucking mind.

She pursed her lips. “Why do you care? Don’t you have a girlfriend to care for?” her voice was sarcastic but I couldn’t help but feel relieved.

I wanted her to show emotions and now she is.

“I want to know because I am your husband,” I replied.

She looked at me in disbelief. “Yeah, you’re my husband but you have a girlfriend. How cool is that?” she asked in a bitter tone.

I bit my lip and watched her frustrated and angry face in front of me. “Don’t change the topic. I asked you why you’re with that motherfucker.”

She looked at me straight to the eyes with coldness very evident in her gaze. “You don’t need to care about that,” she spat before trying to get out again.

I held her wrists and pinned her back onto the wall. Her eyes widened when I leaned closer to her. Her arms are already raised above her head so she won’t be able to move.

I parted her legs with my knee as I smirked at her. “You can’t escape me, Eunice.” I told her. “And you can’t date that son of a bitch.”

Her jaw dropped when I connected our foreheads. “No, baby. You can’t date him while you’re married to me,” I breathed before crashing my lips onto her soft red ones.
