Chapter - 18
A/N: I know this is very unfair to give only two chapters after such a long pause and also suddenly stop updating for such a long time without informing anything. But sometimes it becomes very difficult to deal with life. Some of you know that I lost one of my distant cousins in December, and eventually we coped with that grief. At the start of this year, I was happy because I got a job and I wanted to inform you that maybe I will update less due to this. But when I was happy about the new start of my life my brother lost his life. And this loss was very difficult to cope with for me and my family. We are still dealing with this grief. I could not bring myself to write. And I also didn’t respond to any of your messages or log in to Instagram because I was not ready to answer anyone. I am sorry for ignoring you all for such a long time. It took me long enough to resume writing.
As I am working now, so I only get time on Sundays. So I cannot give many updates. And another thing I want to inform that the story “The warm Embrace” will be still on pause for some more days. It is still a little difficult for me to write a brother-sister relationship. But I promise I will try to start updating that story as soon as possible. Hope you all will understand. And please don’t expect regular updates because now I don’t get time on weekdays.
Vihaan’s POV
"Vihaan! Trisha is my dear granddaughter. And you are also very dear to me. I will never do anything that will harm you or her. I hope you will believe my intention and do as I say." - Tarun sir said to me with a severe expression.
I wanted to argue with him " But sir - " but I got interrupted when the room door suddenly opened from outside.
"Dad how could - Vihaan! You! …you are standing! " Kabir uncle exclaimed with shock.
Oh no no no…this is not good. What would I say to him? Sh*t! I shouldn’t have stood in the first place. I should have been careful.
" So you can walk! Trisha was right. Both of you are betraying Trisha! I will tell Trisha everything. I will not let both of you play with my daughter's emotions." Kabir warned them.
I became horrified upon hearing this. No, he can’t do that. Trisha will hate me forever. She would believe I was aware of the contract’s all clauses. I was not. I never read the contract. I don’t even know what was written on that contract. I agreed on this marriage just because of Trisha. I didn’t need to know any contract. Trisha would be my wife that reason was enough for me to agree to this marriage.
“No, no…Uncle, you misunderstood. Yeah, I can walk and I lied to Trisha…actually I hide this from everyone due to some reason. I have no intention to betray Trisha. Believe me, Uncle. I have my reason.” - I pleaded to Kabir Uncle.
He needed to believe me. If he tells Trisha, it would create a huge mess. Everything started because of Tarun sir. I don’t understand when everything was going fine; why did he need to ruin everything? I could not say much to him. But really if it was someone else, I didn't know what I would have done to that person. I hoped uncle would believe me and give me a chance to explain and would not ruin my plan.
“I don’t understand how can you say, you are not betraying Trisha. You are lying to him and, you are saying you are not betraying her? Then what do you call this?” - Kabir uncle asked me with rage.
I could understand his anger towards me. Kabir uncle has every reason to be angry with me. but what would I tell him? I cannot tell him the real reason. God, please help me! Maybe the god of my life, Tarun sir has decided to hear my prayer. Thankfully he came to my rescue.
“ Kabir, do you understand by questing his intention towards him you are also questing my intention towards Trisha!” Tarun sir said with his authoritative voice.
I know I should not say this but he is a very manipulative man. He always convinces his opponent party very smoothly. Hearing his comment I can understand where this conversation is going. Now I assume I don’t have to take any tension. Tarun sir will easily convince him and stop him from saying Trisha anything.
“Dad, after hearing about the clauses of the contract and seeing Vihaan fit as a fiddle, I really have to doubt your intention.”
Oh no! Is Tarun sir’s plan will backfired? Of course, Trisha’s happiness is very important to Kabir uncle. Trisha’s happiness is important to everyone but Kabir uncle’s case is different. He had promised his dying elder brother that he would never let his daughter sad. He would always keep her happy. He was already very unhappy about our marriage. But he agreed just because Tarun sir was able to manipulate Trisha. If Trisha was not agreed, Kabir uncle would not care about his father.
But now the problem is, Trisha is sad. He will not accept that. I think I have to tell him everything. I didn’t want many people to know about it before I solved everything. But now, I suppose, I have no other choice.
Third Person’s POV
At the entrance of the house…
With a tear-stained face, Trisha ran towards the entrance when she collided with someone. She was about to fall, but thankfully, the person held her securely before she could touch the ground.
“Your clumsiness will never go away, is it?”
“You? What are you doing here? Are you not supposed to be in Canada?” - Trisha asked with surprise.
“It looks like someone is unhappy to see you here, my dear son.” - another person entered with an amused expression.
“You! I don’t want to talk with you. I hate you.” - Trisha said angrily, leaving the two people confused.
