Chapter - 19
Third person’s POV
At the entrance of the house…
With a tear-stained face, Trisha ran towards the entrance when she collided with someone. She was about to fall, but thankfully, the person held her securely before she could touch the ground.
“Your clumsiness will never go away, is it?”
“You? What are you doing here? Are you not supposed to be in Canada?” - Trisha asked with surprise.
“It looks like someone is unhappy to see you here, my dear son.” - another person entered with an amused expression.
“You! I don’t want to talk with you. I hate you.” - Trisha snarled, making the two people confused.
“Why? What have I done, dear?” - the person asked confusingly.
“Ohh, please! Pankaj uncle, don’t act like you don’t know anything. For you, informing my grandpa about me is more important than thinking about me. You only care about your work. You always say I am your daughter, but you don’t treat me like one. You could have hidden this simple thing from grandpa! You could have saved me! But you didn’t.” - Trisha complained in a crying tone.
“What? What are you talking about? I always save you. I never complained about your deeds to Sir ( Tarun). Why are you saying this?” - Pankaj asked confusingly.
“Yes! You always save me then why did you tell grandpa about last night’s clubbing and my drunk condition?”
“ WHAT! You again went to a club! Why Trisha? You promised, then why did you go to a club and drink alcohol?”
“ Why are you saying, as if you don’t know anything? You are the one who brought me home yesterday.”
“I brought you home? From where? I was out of the station for two weeks. I have just come back today!”
Hearing this Trisha looked at Pankaj frowningly. She was confused. If Pankaj didn’t bring her back then who did?
“ Is Raj uncle in town? Was he the one who brought me back?” - Trisha asked them with confusion.
“No, Trisha, Raj uncle has not come back yet.” - Pankaj’s son replied to Trisha.
“Then who? Vihaan told me, my grandpa’s men brought me from the club. If you both were not the one then who?” Trisha asked with confusion.
“Trisha, I think you have some misunderstanding. Neither dad nor Raj uncle was in town and besides Tarun grandpa was with me. We came back in the morning. I don’t think he knows anything about your clubbing.” Pankaj’s son assured Trisha.
Trisha was in deep thought upon hearing this. A doubt started to arise in her mind. ‘ could it be possible that I was not hallucinating? It was really Vihaan who brought me back and that could only mean he can walk. It may be the case. After today’s incident, I don’t believe him at all. I have to do something to check that. But if his legs are really fine then how did he not react when I stabbed him in the leg? Who should I believe?’ Trisha was so engrossed in her thought that she didn’t hear when Pankaj called her.
“Trisha, what are you thinking, dear? What happened? Can you tell me why did you react like this?” - Pankaj asked with concern.
Trisha shook her head. She didn’t want to tell anyone about her doubts. She wanted to confirm her doubt first and then come to a conclusion. She could not trust anyone after today’s incident. She smirked thinking of the idea of finding out about Vihaan’s condition.
—---
Vihaan was sitting in the living room with Trisha’s family. They were all waiting for Trisha worriedly. They didn’t know about Trisha’s whereabouts and she was also not picking up her phone. Pankaj informed them about Trisha’s crying and angry reaction but he didn’t disclose everything properly. Somehow he believed Trisha doesn’t want anyone to know about that so he hid the details.
They all know that Trisha was angry about the newfound clause in the contract. Trisha’s uncle and his son were glaring at Vihaan continuously. Vihaan was feeling very uncomfortable under their glare but he knew they were angry at him. They still don’t know about everything. Tarun didn’t let Vihaan reveal any secret in front of them.
When everyone was confused about what to do to find Trisha, she entered the house with a very cheerful mind. Vihaan and others were confused about her cheerful expression. They didn’t understand the reason behind Trisha’s good mood. They were confused why Trisha’s mood was so cheerful when she left the house with a gloomy expression.
Trisha came near her grandfather and sat beside him. She leaned herself against Tarun’s shoulder and said softly “ I am sorry, grandpa. I shouted at you. I know you always think the best for me. There must be some reason behind your hiding this information from me. I shouldn’t have shouted at you. Please forgive me, grandpa.”
Before Mr Tarun could reply anything, his wife replied “ Oh my sweet granddaughter. You don’t need to feel bad for shouting at your grandpa. You did the right thing. After hearing everything, I am also angry at your grandfather. He shouldn’t have hidden such a thing from you.” She glared at her husband and engulfed Trisha in her arms.
Tarun was not an idiot. He knew his granddaughter very well. But for the first time, he didn’t understand her intention. But he was sure something was going on inside her head.
Vihaan, who was already confused about Trisha’s sudden good mood, gulped when he noticed the smirk on Trisha’s face. He didn’t know about Trisha’s intention, but he could guess one thing, he will be her victim.
