CHAPTER FOURTY NINE

CHELSEA POV.

"They are staring," I slowly whispered to Emily. "I told you so," She playfully reminded me.

"Let's just go in," She mumbled, pulling me along with her but stopping her friend group. "Chelsea, that bag seems so heavy, should I help you carry it," A guy offered, his hands holding mine.

"Don't worry, it's light, I only have one class today, so you don't have to stress," I politely decline.

"Beside, I can do that," Emily chipped in, taking my bag from me and then proceeded to pull me away, along with her.

"You are lucky you having only one class, I wonder the day you have more than one, now that would be fun to watch," She joked, still pulling me.

"The thing is, it would be hell if anything happens to the child while you are in school, so I think that's what they are preventing," She paused to explain.

"You can leave halfway or when the class is about to end, to avoid fewer people," She advised as I only nodded.

But just as we were about entering, another student approached, with an invitation to the vice principal's office.

"What's it this time?" I groaned, slowly pulling my step towards there. When I got in, I saw Liam, calmly seated facing her, he turned to me and smiled.

"What are you doing here?" I asked without hesitation. "Mrs. Manchester," The VC called.

"Milan," I corrected, walking towards him. She had looked at Liam, who nodded freely in response.

"Miss Milan," She softly called. "Me and Mr. Manchester were discussing and we agreed that you should continue the rest of your course via online," She explained.

"Huh," I mumbled. "You will still get your desire certificate and you can come to celebrate with the rest student, but,"

"But this is the safest option for you," Liam cuts in. "Liam, out now," I demanded, storming out and heading downstairs as fast as I could.

I could hear him call my name several times, how I need to reduce my speed and as much as I didn't want to admit it, he was irritating.

"Are you my father?" I asked once I finally reached the parking spot. "And you are neither my husband or better still, you cease to exist as one," I snapped.

"I was only worried about you Chelsea, the stairs and every slightest mistake," He tried reasoning.

"Then rip it out and put it in a tube," I yelled. "Look, last time, you held my neck against the wall, threatening me with my inheritance right,"

"Well good news, the circle have turned, very soon, everything will be transferred to my name and I can transfer it to charity,"

"Try it and make one more annoying suggestion without consulting me and I will make headlines but not in a good way," I threatened, watching his surprised expressions.

"See you by noon," I said, before walking out, calling the nearest cab that I saw. As the car drove off, I saw Liam, still standing there, in shock.

His reaction stayed in my head throughout the drive, even as I worked down the gate. "You kept us waiting," Catherine sneered as I approached the gate.

"You better behave or else I won't allow you in," I threatened. "One marriage, you were able to leave the house and restrict our access to it, now one pregnancy and you are off threatening me," Catherine sneered, her words provoking laughter.

"But then, you have to behave, you don't have anyone barking at you, you are only here to see what hope you have left, isn't that right?" I asked, as the gate swung open.

"Just listen to my advice and behave and maybe, you get to hear it," I whispered, just as the lawyer car pulled up.

"What, what do you mean my father didn't leave me with anything?" Stella yelled at the poor man.

"Step father," I politely corrected as she glared at me.. "I can't accept this, the will was altered," she grumbled, frowning her face.

"Really, but then, it's not like you didn't get anything, the will say I have the right to decide if I want to grant you anything, so calm down,"

"The old cottage house, I'm sure you know it, it was what you planned on giving to me then,"

"I have decided I don't need it, it would do nothing to me and since you don't have accommodations, you are free to take that," I mocked and soon.

"The Will has been read, I will have my secretary transfer the cottage in your name but as of now, I have no ties with you, so leave my house," I ordered, just immediately the lawyer took his leave.

"Your house but then you really did work for it, I mean your body suffer a lot, being a sex tool to the Manchester,"

"You can't even do without him, that's why you decided to carry his child, using that thing to have a leverage on him,"

"But now, the question is, does he love you or he is not over your body yet, I wonder if he is deceiving you just like the first time," She gently whispered.

One hand resting gently on my shoulder. "I wonder, if it would be easier to manipulate the Will when you are dead,"

"Just like the way I took care of your father, I might as well do the same to you," She threatened.

Her words finally accepted the fact she killed my father. "Last time, you got help didn't you, but this time you are alone and you don't have the funds to do so," I pointed out.

"Do I really need help, I could do it here, it would be a simple accident, don't you think, people do fall down the stairs, it has always been a home accident," She mumbled, I noticed how she was keeping her tone low, it was never a good sign.

It's a good thing it would be noon soon, I had a feeling that things could get out of hand, it was the major reason why I didn't cancel my plans with Liam. ..

I know he would keep to time, even though he might come early, I am counting on that time, just before things get ugly.

And I wait, I slowly reach for my gun. Just firmly holding it. "You can't do anything, it would be obvious," I reminded.

"Oh, because of Liam, then don't worry, I would be very careful of my step,"

"You know I'm not alone, after Liam's father left, someone came knocking, so be careful Chelsea, quietly watch your step," She warned, standing up.

"This might be the last time we meet, where you get the upper hand," She threatened, pulling Stella with her.

They head towards the door, opening it to see Liam angry glare. Without hesitating, he pulls Stella hair, using it to push her away, her body slamming the nearest wall and before Catherine could alter a word, his hands gripped her neck, roughly slamming her body on the door, choking her.

"Answer me Catherine, what's stopping me from ending you right now?" he roared.
