Still, in the same position with both hands stuffed into his pants pockets, the man with his messy shirt exited the elevator first. His long footsteps were very different from those of the girl behind him. No, the girl's footsteps slowed down.
Callista gulped down her saliva with difficulty. This hallway would take her to the place where the psychopath had launched his action. Would she survive today? Would she still be breathing tomorrow? Moreover, she had provoked Kenward's anger with that incident.
"What are you doing?"
Callista gasped. She straightened her gaze where Kenward was staring intently at her. Not wanting to provoke the other's anger, Callista hurriedly stepped her feet to align with Kenward's position.
Kenward snorted in annoyance at the look on Callista's face. For some reason, he did not like Callista's expression on this one. Wanting to see another expression, Kenward took action.
Callista's eyes were wide open. Her hands spontaneously wrapped around Kenward's neck. The second time this psychopath carried herself suddenly!
The door was opened easily by Kenward and closed by itself. With careful movements, Kenward sat Callista on the edge of her bed. The girl closed her eyes when Kenward's hand came close to her face.
Click.
The mask was removed from Callista's face. This allowed Kenward to see Callista's expression freely. The surprised expression on the girl's face remained unchanged. A faint smile was etched on his face as he looked at his prey's expression which looked cute in his eyes.
Callista looked at Kenward who was busy removing a pair of tools from her feet. Shaking off her nervousness as Kenward squatted before her and treated her gently, Callista revealed the question that was lodged in her mind at the moment.
"Will I be able to wear this every day?"
Yeah! She managed to do it. She could ask without showing her nervousness.
"You can't. This will permanently harden your feet if you use it every day." Kenward rose to his feet with a pair of tools already in his hands.
Callista bit her lower lip to hide her disappointment. She had put too much hope in a device she didn't even know the name of.
"I-I'm going to wash my face," allowed Callista who was using her crutch again. Her crutches had been on the edge of the bed all along.
Kenward took a glance at Callista who looked hurried. Not disputing that, Kenward continued his activity that was delayed for a moment.

"Huh, my body is so fresh," Callista thought as she stepped out of the bathroom.
Badump!
Callista's heart stopped beating for a split second. Her eyes were not mistaken. Kenward was lying on his back bare-chested. He was patting his side which Callista interpreted as an order to go to sleep.
With hesitant movements, Callista slipped under the covers. Kenward smiled faintly smelling the distinctive intoxicating scent of the girl next to him. Wanting more, Kenward pulled Callista's waist until their bodies touched without any distance left.
"Ke-Kenward, what are you-" Before Callista could finish her sentence, Kenward cut her off.
"Shutt! Get some sleep. I'm really tired today." While saying that, Kenward tried to find a comfortable position between Callista's nape.
Kenward's breath tickling her neck made Callista feel amused.
"It's like this again. He made me a bolster to sleep on," Callista thought as she rolled her eyes in disgust.

The school bell signaling recess had come a few minutes ago. In an instant, the classrooms, which had been crowded with people, were now empty as if they had never been a place visited by many people.
Chennie was right in front of her once she had risen to her feet. Callista chuckled a little at Chennie's cheerful face. The expression she knew so well. The expression Chennie always made when she was about to meet her beloved food.
"Let's hurry to the cafeteria!"
Aric immediately took up a position next to Callista, Rheana who felt her place was usurped, scowled in annoyance. Just a small incident like that was able to put a smile on Callista's lips. Today is a sunny day without any problems that come. Likewise, the conflict she had experienced with her friends was resolved properly.
"Why does that cripple keep sticking like gum between them?"
"Not satisfied with troubling Aric's, that bastard keeps trying to look weak."
"It would be a beautiful sight if the cripple girl wasn't there. She's ruining it."
The scathing criticisms stopped as soon as a pair of palms covered her ears. Callista turned to look at Aric who threw her a smile. She removed one of Aric's hands from her ear.
"I'm fine."
Rheana joined in shaking Aric's hand off Callista. "Yeah, why did you do that? Don't take a chance in a tight spot."
Callista again chuckled. "Let's go to the cafeteria immediately. Look at Chennie who has her lips parted because she didn't give any rations to her stomach."
Chennie glared in annoyance. "What, why am I involved?"
Brian clapped his hands once. "Cut the bickering. I'll treat you, how about it?"
"Deal! Don't you ever take that back," Chennie gushed with an unchanging gaze. Staring fiercely in case Brian suddenly changed his mind.
"Alright, I'll be right back."
Brian wandered off into the crowd, leaving Callista, Aric, Rheana, and Chennie who had now landed on their butts on an empty seat in the cafeteria. Callista was busy staring at the crowd, Aric was staring at the screen of his cell phone because it had just rung, while Chennie and Rheana were exchanging glances with one eyebrow raised.
"Attention! Because the drama performance is not long now. Rheana and I are finding it very difficult to create many characters with different dispositions. How about you guys help out?"
Chennie nudged Rheana's arm as a code. Of course, Rheana was able to catch the meaning. "Um, yeah too. There are two main characters here. You guys will be a big help."
Aric looked at Chennie and Rheana in turn. Because they had grown up together as children, he knew the various expressions made by his friends. And that expression was a sly expression to force his approval.
"Alright, I'll help."
Chennie and Rheana turned to look at Callista who was beside them. "What about you, Illis?"
Callista, who was only half listening, was confused. She was too focused on the crowd. After all, why did these friends of hers love to make impromptu events? She had to ask that psychopath for permission, and he was so creepy.
"But I can't always refuse their invitations either. They'll be suspicious of me if I do that. What should I do then?" her inner.
