Chapter 33 The Jealousy

"Then you should tell these to Roderick."

Suzette was usually gentle, but this did not mean that her temper was good enough. If she had been tender like before, she could not be who she was today.

Ruby rolled her eyes at her, "I'll go back to the company to find him later even if you don't tell me to do so."

In fact, Ruby was secretly delighted as she had a reason to find Roderick.

Roderick was extremely cared about his privacy.

He would usually ride the special elevator to reach the top floor. If she wanted to meet him, the top floor of the company was the only place where he was while his company image in public was under other people's responsibilities.

Ruby fell deeply in love with Roderick at first sight when she started working at the company.

She had given him hints that she liked him, but he ignored all of them.

Who did not like a man who was wealthy, good-looking, and abstinence?

Suzette sighed, "I'm fine if he agrees with it. Let's go back to the company."

Lee as Suzette's assistant was not dare to speak a word.

The driver drove so fast that the time was still early when they reached the company.

Ruby reached the secretary immediately after she got off the car. She booked the time for the meeting with Roderick and exaggerated the statement that she was being severely bullied by her agent.

"Miss Lam, would it be all right?" Lee asked under his breath.

Suzette chuckled, "Roderick will not change easily. He just wants to give me a test."

One company's manager could allocate so many tasks to the employees, and Roderick was a person who liked to take control over everything.

So, although it was the company's least popular celebrity, he could know her thoroughly.

Suzette's outstanding reputation was well-known and he knew her capability. However, far from he gave her the celebrities that earned the most, he gave her an incompetent celebrity.

He had her ability in his sights.

If she had this ability to take a turn for the better, then it was not a problem for her to handle such celebrity.

Lee obviously did not understand. He just worried for his boss.

Suzette smiled, "Lee, you don't have to worry about me. Let's go to the office first."

Both of them chatted while went to the office.

When they reached the floor where their office was, Suzette suddenly realized that the office area was more bustling than usual which made her curious.

She asked Lee that was besides her, "Why it is bustling today? Did anything happen?"

Lee patted his head, "I just remembered that one of our agents is coming back today. Her competency in work is quite good. Her name is Tess Beach."

"Tess Beach?"

Suzette called the name under her breath.

Tess immediately reached and stood in front of her when she talked about her.

She stared at Suzette arrogantly, "Who are you? I haven't seen you in the company before."

This attitude was not considered as friendly.

Tess looked comely, but that was all. Her characteristic on her physical appearance was not so obvious and forgettable.

Nevertheless, she did not care about her physical appearance. All she cared about was her working ability.

She had her best tutor and gained the best experience once she started to enter this industry.

She got her tutor's help and her celebrity that she took on for her first time was relatively famous. Afterwards, she developed and grew gradually. The celebrities that she took on were all good.

Hence, the achievements that she had made to reach this position in the company were visible to all.

She even had the ability to become the top agent.

Suzette took a step back and put a gentle smile on her face, "Nice to meet you. I am the new agent, Suzette Lam."

She did not say her name that had been used in Country M because everything had to start all over again since she came back here.

Tess did not mind and was still arrogant.

"So you are the new agent. Who are you in charge for?"

"Ruby Lawson."

When Suzette said Ruby's name, she could see that Tess's eyes were full of sympathy obviously.

"You are running up against such terrible celebrity. I feel pity for you."

However, Tess was just expressing her sympathy verbally only.

After that, she bypassed Suzette and went to her office straight away.

Other staffs were rubbernecking.

Some of them who saw Tess that was disrespectful towards their respected senior was about to step forward for Suzette and explained the condition.

However, Suzette was refused them to do so by giving them a glance.

She did not want to make any fuss like her first day on work in this company.

"Let's go back to the office."

Lee also broke into a sweat.

Some people were conceited once had a little accomplishment.

Their arrogances made them thinking that they were superior to everyone.

In Lee's opinion, Tesswould not become who she was today without her reliable tutor.

In fact, Suzette did not care at all.

The reputation was vain. Instead, one's capability was the only thing that was real.

No one would believe what she said if she did not have the capability. Therefore, she must get used to the entertainment industry at here as soon as possible.

On the other hand, Tess who went back to her office felt something was wrong.

She was not clear on the new things that happened in the company as she brought her celebrities to attend the activity abroad. Hence, it was normal that she did not know about the background of Suzette Lam.

"Laura, do you know the background of the new agent? I suddenly think that she looks quite familiar."

Tess's assistant, Laura swallowed. She finally had the chance to speak.

Laura explained immediately, "Suzette Lam's name that was used in Country M was Elizabeth."

"What!"

Tess was drinking water, and she almost choked on water when she heard of this answer.

"Elizabeth?"

Everyone from this industry knew who Elizabeth was.

She was the well-known Asian celebrity agent in overseas.

There were not many people who could achieve her level.

At the moment, Tess that was arrogant just now was calm gradually with jealousy.

She recalled back Suzette's physical appearance, which looked so stunning.

Suzette could even debut as a celebrity with her beauty.

"Hmph. She must be relying on men to achieve the success. Discrimination against Asian are severe in Country M. It is impossible for her to reach such level."

Tess made an excuse for herself.

While Laura was not dare to speak…

"Mr. Shaw."

The secretary went to the top floor to report to Roderick on work after she organized the data.

Roderick signed all of the file, and at last he asked the secretary after noticing that she did not leave, "Is there anything else?"

The secretary hesitated for a moment, and told him about Ruby's request.

"Ruby wants to change her agent. She said her current agent is not only being harsh towards her, but also does not help her in getting jobs seriously."

Roderick laughed sarcastically after listening to what his secretary said.

"She is good at causing trouble instead. She might be forgotten about how she got in Sky Royal Entertainment. You just tell her that I won't agree with it. If it weren't for Suzette who take her on, she won't become famous forever."

"Yes."

The secretary backed off quickly after receiving the order.

Ruby was still waiting in the office.

Her eyes glowed when the secretary came.

She even touched up her makeup on purpose as she thought that she could meet Roderick.

"How is it going?" She asked excitedly.
