Disappearance of Alexandra
“Since the lycan king was replaced by Stevan, the Moonbright Kingdom has been very weak. That’s good news for us. I’m sure the vampire nation will win this time, and we will all rule this world. We should start splitting up now. I will send a messenger to inform the king about the situation here,” said Diego, Edward’s older brother. They were both trusted by the vampire king and had the superior strength among other vampires. They also split into two groups along with other vampires.
The Moonbright Kingdom palace looked very quiet, and there were no lycans roaming outside. They all stayed in their respective rooms, especially the female lycans. However, it turned out that in the main palace hall, Stevan and all the high-ranking officials and warlords were already on standby. Their facial expressions all looked very serious. The atmosphere was so quiet and thrilling. Stevan's gaze was now focused on the hall door while his fingers were tapping on the table.
Suddenly, the hall door opened, making all the lycans there turn towards the door. Stevan, who was originally sitting on his throne, now stood up. "Reporting, King. The vampire horde has successfully entered the border, and they are now heading to the palace," said one of the royal soldiers.
"Are all the soldiers ready?" asked Stevan.
"They are already on standby in every corner of the palace, King. So is General Marcelino, who is now ready at the palace gate," he said.
"Good. Lure the vampires to enter the palace. We surround them here so that the other lycan people outside the palace are not affected,” said Stevan wisely.
“We will carry out your orders, King,” said the soldier firmly and bravely.
“Go back to your place!” Stevan’s face looked very fierce. He couldn’t wait to finish off the vampires who always belittled the lycans. He also wanted to avenge his parents. The soldier then left the main hall of the palace. However, suddenly Morgan came running hurriedly towards the king. Stevan, who saw him, immediately frowned.
“What’s wrong?” asked Stevan curiously, seeing Morgan’s anxious expression.
“Alexandra isn’t in her room,” whispered Morgan, right near Stevan.
“What?!” Stevan’s scream echoed in the hall.
Stevan immediately ran out of the main palace hall. His mind wandered everywhere. The thing he was most afraid of was if something bad happened to the woman he loved so much and the baby in her womb. "Are you sure she's not in her room?" Stevan asked Morgan, who was behind him. His steps were quite fast with an anxious feeling.
"I'm sure, King. I've checked her room directly," Morgan answered while looking around, hoping to find Alexandra.
It didn't take long for Stevan and Morgan to arrive in front of Alexandra's room. However, there was no one there. Stevan panicked even more. He then went to the palace servants' quarters not far from there. "We should split up," he said to Morgan. The two of them split up. Morgan went to the backyard of the palace.
When Stevan arrived at the servants' quarters, he met Jolla, who looked just as panicked as him. "What happened? Why isn't Alexandra in her room?" Stevan asked.
"I don't know either, King. When I visited her in her room, I didn't find her there. I even looked in all the places she often visited, but she wasn't there. Is it possible that she was kidnapped?" Jolla's face looked so sad and anxious. She was afraid that something bad would happen to Alexandra.
Stevan looked so confused. "Look for her somewhere else! Don't tell anyone about her disappearance. Don't make a scene," said Stevan.
"I will do what you say, King," replied Jolla. Stevan then left the servant's living area.
Not long after, Stevan was in the second palace. The atmosphere there seemed quiet because all lycans were required not to roam outside except for the soldiers and royal guards. He immediately went to the queen mother's room.
When he arrived in front of the queen mother's room, the two guards at the door greeted him respectfully. "Open the door! I want to meet the queen mother," said Stevan. The two guards immediately opened the door for him. He entered the room.
Regina, who was sitting relaxed while enjoying a glass of fresh blood, was quite surprised to see the sudden arrival of the king. "What brings you to my room, King?" she asked while putting the glass in her hand on the table.
"Where is Alexandra?" Stevan asked without further ado.
Regina immediately frowned. "What do you mean, King? Why are you asking me about her?" Her expression implied confusion.
"She is not in the first palace. That's why I came here," Stevan replied while observing the queen mother's reaction.
"So, you accuse me of kidnapping her?" Regina asked back.
"Yes, because you don't like her so much," Stevan replied without the slightest smile on his face.
Regina felt offended because she was accused carelessly by her own grandson. She immediately stood up from her seat. "I really don't know where your beloved servant is. You need to remember, King Stevan. I am not an unemployed person who always likes to interfere in your love life."
Stevan felt that there was no lie in every word that came out of the queen mother's mouth. "I apologize to you. I shouldn't have accused you without any evidence. Once again, I apologize," he said with all his heart. After that, he saluted the queen mother, then left the room.
"Where should I look for you, Alexa?" Stevan muttered, who was currently in the front yard of the second palace. His mind couldn't focus on all his plans to paralyze the vampire horde. "But it's strange. I don't feel any pain at all in my body. If she was kidnapped, she would be sad and might shed tears, so I could feel it. However, this time I didn't feel anything." He kept thinking about where Alexandra usually stayed.
"King, how? Have you found her?" asked Morgan, who approached the king.
"Not yet," answered Stevan while rubbing his face. He looked frustrated. "How is the situation in the backyard?"
“The situation is still safe. The Royal Army is already on guard there. Is it possible for Alexandra to leave this palace?” Morgan replied.
“I don’t think so. She wouldn’t be able to leave this palace relying only on her weak body unless someone else took her,” said Stevan, who couldn’t stop worrying about his crush.
“Then, who took her out of this palace? Could it be the queen mother?” said Morgan, which was immediately answered by Stevan shaking his head.
“No. I can assure you the queen mother doesn’t know about Alexandra’s whereabouts,” said Stevan.
“Could it be the vampires?” Morgan guessed. His and Stevan’s eyes met.
