Vampire Attack
“No. I’m still normal and healthy,” replied Stevan with an innocent face.
“King, please don’t put me in a difficult situation.” Alexandra’s face looked restless.
“What do you mean? I only told you to sleep on my bed. Does that make it difficult for you?” Stevan stood up from his place, then walked closer to the woman who was now looking at him with frustration.
Alexandra rubbed her hands all over her face. She had completely given up on the king’s attitude, who often did as he pleased. “Let me go back to my room right now, King. I beg you,” she said finally. Her gaze was fixed on the figure of the man who was now standing in front of her.
“If you want to go back to your room, you have to follow my request. Never show your smile to another man," said Stevan.
Alexandra blinked her eyes repeatedly, trying to digest the king's words. "Why?" she asked.
"Because you are mine," Stevan moved closer, making Alexandra move her body back until it hit the back of the chair.
"Oh, God. My heart feels like it wants to come out right now," she muttered to herself. She closed her eyes as Stevan's face got closer to hers. His breath began to hit her skin. Her attitude of just staying silent, as if she surrendered to what the king would do to her.
Stevan smiled seeing Alexandra's attitude. He began to dare to raise his hand and touch her face with a gentle caress. "You know? My heart hurts so much when I see you smile at another man. I don't want you to be close to a man other than me. I can assure you that this feeling of love is true, and I only give it to you. Will you be my wife?"
Alexandra's eyes suddenly opened wide, staring intently at the king who had so carelessly torn apart her heart.
Suddenly, Alexandra burst out laughing until tears came out of her eyes. "Stop, King. Don't continue anymore. I can't stand to hear those words," she said, still laughing while holding her stomach, which felt a little cramped from laughing too much.
"What the hell? Is there something funny?" Stevan frowned. His hand suddenly pulled Alexandra's arm and forced her to stand facing him. "Don't laugh! I'm not joking." Both of his eyes changed color to reddish yellow, indicating that he was about to transform into lycan form.
Alexandra, who saw the change in the king, began to feel scared. She slowly tried to release Stevan's grip on her arm. However, her efforts were in vain. Stevan's left hand actually pulled her waist until her body hit his body.
"Forgive me, King. I didn't mean to laugh at you," she said in a fluster. The masculine scent on his body made her breath catch in her throat. Fear and addiction mixed together.
"I never joke about you," Stevan whispered near her ear.
Alexandra felt a great rush in her body. Both her hands clenched tightly, trying to control herself. "But it's impossible for me to be your wife, King. I'm just an ordinary human being." She tried to control her nervousness. Her face tried to keep a distance from the king's face, even though her body was currently attached to his. "By the way, the king has a promise to me. When can the king return me to my world?" She stared into Stevan's eyes closely.
Stevan was silent. He was confused about what to say because, basically, he didn't know how to return Alexandra to the human world. The trick was just his trick to get the woman to return to the first palace. "Now is not the time to return you to your world. The kingdom is experiencing a security crisis because of the vampires," he said rationally.
Alexandra's face looked relaxed, as if she didn't feel any sadness or disappointment. "Okay. No problem. I also don't want to go back early," she answered casually.
"Strange. Why did you suddenly change your mind? Maybe you're already comfortable here?" Stevan smiled teasingly.
"No. I just understand the conditions here." Alexandra turned her face away.
"Really?" Stevan teased, getting closer to his face.
Alexandra spontaneously pushed Stevan's face with her palm, making him move away from her. "What did I just do?" Her eyes widened when she realized her rude attitude towards the king, who was so respected in this lycan world.
"Alexandra..." Stevan growled, starting to get annoyed.
"Oops, sorry. The fetus in my womb wanted me to do that to the king," she said irrationally.
"Oh, really?" Stevan's face immediately turned tame. Even his eyes turned normal brown. Alexandra swallowed her saliva with difficulty. She was afraid that the king would be angry with her. She could only nod her head in response.
"What else does he want?" Stevan looked very excited.
“He? It seems like the king is very sure that my baby is a boy,” Alexandra began to smile, seeing Stevan’s exaggerated attitude. She thought it was so fun.
“Of course. I can feel it. Tell me, what else does he want?” Stevan said enthusiastically. Even his eyes were sparkling.
“He wants me to go back to my room and rest immediately,” he replied then.
“Okay. Go back to your room,” Stevan said easily, without any coercion at all.
Alexandra was quite surprised to see the king’s response. “Why didn’t I use this trick earlier? I wouldn’t have bothered to beg him if I had known this,” she said to herself. A broad smile appeared on her face. Without further ado, she immediately left the king’s room.
“I guess I shouldn’t be too hard on her. Rather than my baby being tortured in her belly,” said Stevan, looking at Alexandra, who closed the door to her room.
It was already 3 a.m. The conditions outside the palace were quite tense. The vampire horde begins to move into the Moonbright kingdom after successfully paralyzing the soldiers guarding the border.
Edward, a tall vampire with pale white skin said, “Don’t you feel strange? The soldiers guarding the border were very few, and almost all of them had very weak strength. Not like usual..."
