Treated Badly
There was no fear at all in Alessia. She remained in her position even though the group of black-hooded lycans were getting closer to her. "What is the purpose of your coming here?" she asked boldly.
"Of course, I welcome your arrival. How are you, Alessia?" The male lycan wearing a mask was now standing in front of Alessia. "Seeing you up close like this reminds me of a woman in the palace," he continued, grinning behind his mask.
"What do you mean by that? What do you want from me?" Alessia began to back away, away from the man she did not know. Her feelings began to feel uneasy.
"I came here to offer you something," replied the masked man.
"What is that?" asked Alessia, starting to get suspicious.
"You have to come with me. Later you will know the truth," replied the man again.
"I don't want to! Tell me now what you want. If not, I won't come with you!" said Alessia loudly and firmly.
However, suddenly another group of lycans began to attack the residents of the settlement. The atmosphere there immediately became exciting. Many residents rebelled, but it was useless. Their strength was no match for the horde of black-hooded lycans. "What are you doing? Let them go!" Alessia glared at the masked man who was still standing in front of her.
"I won't tell my men to stop until you agree to come with me," answered the male lycan.
“I will never come with you!” Alessia said very firmly. She wouldn't just submit to a stranger who was cruel to her. She immediately turned around and wanted to help her friends. However, suddenly someone grabbed her hand. She looked back. “Let go of my hand!”
“No way!” replied the masked male lycan. Alessia looked at her friends, who had been weakened and were now all gathered in the middle of the yard, surrounded by the black-hooded lycans.
“Okay. I’ll come with you. But please don’t hurt them,” said Alessia emotionally. When it came to her friends, she didn’t hesitate to protect them because they were the only ones she had in this world.
“Let them go!” said the masked man to his men. The group of black-hooded men began to move away from the residents of the settlement and returned to their original place. “I have complied with your request. Now you have to follow me,” he continued.
“Okay. Let go of my hand first,” replied Alessia. Her hand then slipped from the grip of the masked man’s hand. After that, she began to leave the settlement, following the group of foreign lycans.
“How about this? What will happen to Alessia?" A female lycan looked panicked seeing Alessia leave.
"No need to worry about her. Our lives are already difficult. Don't make it even more difficult just because of her problem. It's better for us all to enjoy this delicious meat," said one of the male lycans. They all immediately flocked into their respective houses while carrying plastic bags filled with meat. They seemed not to care about Alessia's safety, because to them, she was not that important.
In the royal palace, Alexandra returned to her work that had been delayed after taking time to have breakfast. She was now cleaning the wolf statues in the second palace hall. Sometimes her hand stroked her stomach, which was starting to bulge. "Stay healthy, my baby bomb," she muttered softly with a smile.
The queen mother and her personal servant, who were now not far from the hall, continued to observe Alexandra's movements. "Why is there no reaction in her body? Didn't you give her the wrong food?" asked Regina, looking confused.
"I'm sure I didn't give her the wrong food, Queen Mother," replied the maid.
"But why does she still look fine? Damn! Is it possible that the doctor's medicine is of low quality? Quickly call the palace doctor to come to my room!" Regina's face looked very annoyed. She felt like she had failed to get rid of her toughest enemy. Not wanting to stay there any longer, she immediately left, returning to her private room.
In the king's room, Morgan was seen pacing back and forth while holding his chin. "What's wrong? You haven't been able to keep quiet since earlier, making my head even dizzier," Stevan growled as he sat on the sofa.
"What should we do, King? What if the queen mother finds out Alexandra's secret? We haven't found Alessia yet. Oh, my. Why am I worried about that weak woman?" Morgan looked restless and kept pacing in front of Stevan.
“What did you say? Are you worried about Alexandra?” Stevan’s eyebrows began to knit together, indicating that he did not like Morgan’s attitude of caring too much about Alexandra.
“Gosh! Now is not the time for the king to be jealous. I already consider her my own sister. Nothing more. Don’t exaggerate, King,” Morgan grumbled quite boldly. There was no sense of prestige or awkwardness if he was alone with Stevan.
“Okay. Sorry.” Stevan pondered Morgan’s words. He was thinking of a way to get Alexandra to return to Palace One without any coercion from him. He did not want to make the woman feel pressured, which would ultimately affect the health of her pregnancy.
Suddenly, Stevan banged the table, surprising Morgan. “Oh my king! Can’t you be gentle?” Morgan raged.
“I have a brilliant idea. Come with me to Second Palace.” Stevan immediately stood up from his seat and walked out of his private room.
“Hopefully, this time the plan won’t make me even more dizzy,” Morgan muttered, then followed the king.
In the Second Palace, Alexandra received unfair treatment from the other servants who worked there. The very large hall that should have been cleaned by at least five servants, now she was the only one cleaning it. Not a single servant was willing to help her.
Sweat continued to pour down her forehead. “When will I be able to finish this job? I’ve only mopped half the floor. Oh my, my body feels so tired." She sat down on the chair. “Do they not like me here? Why am I being treated badly like this?” Her gaze was fixed on the door, hoping someone would come to help her.
“Where’s Jolla? Is she busy too?” Alexandra let out a long breath. After the tiredness began to disappear, she continued cleaning the hall floor.
“Hi, Alexandra.” Suddenly, a group of female servants entered the hall.
