All Liam's fault
All Liam's fault
"Why the hell didn't everyone tell me in time?"
Nancy yelled as she got into Roselyn's ward.
Roselyn had sat up straight and leaned back with a Vogue magazine in her hands.
"How disappointing. I thought Sarah told you in time."
Roselyn feigned a sad smile and put the book aside.
Nancy rushed to hug her friend before sitting by her bedside with a worried expression on her face.
"You would be surprised to know that I was told this morning, but I believe it is your husband's job to do that."
Shock flickered in Rose's eyes.
"Uhhh, I am sorry because Paul had to give Liam my phone. Imagine that!"
Rose replied in annoyance under Nancy's worried glare.
"You must be braced to be in prison. Is it because of the Michelle-Archie issue?"
Nancy asked curiously, her question making Roselyn hesitate a little.
"Yeah, I got another text from an unknown number, and they seem to belong to her cousin."
Roselyn explained softly.
"Well, I am quite familiar with that, my friend. So what will your brother and Liam do to stop this whole menace?"
Roselyn shrugged her shoulders and clasped her hands on top of the blanket covering her feet.
"I don't want to lie, but I really don't have a clue about their plans or whatsoever."
She replied carefully, and her friend gave a slight nod.
"Or perhaps we can just sort the bitch out ourselves."
Nancy suggested, her words hitting Rose by surprise.
"No way. Please count me out on that one, especially since my husband is not pleased by me lying here."
Silence settled across the room as they exchanged a silent glance.
"Talking about your husband, where is he?"
Nancy glanced around the room and stared deeply into Roselyn's eyes.
"He had been here since last night... let me just say he has slept here, but I've sent him home to shower."
Roselyn yawned.
"Serves him right to sleep here. This all is his fault."
Nancy accused with a hardened expression.
"You know I love you, right?"
Nancy nodded lightly.
"But I also do not think it is okay to accuse him. He is a victim of this chaos too."
Roselyn defended her husband with a soft gaze, causing Nancy to sigh in return.
Nancy huffed and forced a smile. "I hope Liam will melt when he sees how you defend him in his absence, but listen to me, friend."
Roselyn tilted her head while pressing her lips, waiting for her friend to continue.
"Liam met Michelle first, Lord knows wherever; they went out and made out. However, things turned sideways afterwards, and now we are in this situation affecting many people. The Foster lad is so lucky to have you by his side, never mind all the cash he has." Nancy breathed at once.
Roselyn chuckled lowly. "I admit to your complaint, but by many people, you mean Michelle snatching Archie from you?"
Nancy gave a quick nod, her eyes blinking repeatedly.
"Yes, and I can't help but stay mad after finding out everything. It was better when I only knew that he cheated and moved on from me."
She uttered in a disappointed voice, and Rose couldn't help but feel pain for her.
With the way Nancy was reacting to Rose, it was clear to Roselyn that she was still into Archie, and the two might be talking in secret.
"I understand your frustrations. I also hate that Archie is with her, even if it is just for pretending."
Rose added, and the two sighed in helplessness.
Anyone would do the same if the men they loved kept being pulled by the same force. Isn't their relationship deserving of peace?
"Off topic, why are you dressed so elegantly?"
Nancy posed as her best friend complimented her looks.
She was wearing a white cami, a white loose, thin-strapped dress with pearl earrings on her ears, her hair tied into a clean bun.
"No Rose, this is too simple, but thanks."
Roselyn nodded but couldn't help but get nosy.
"So all this beauty is for Damon?"
She whispered, but Nancy shook her head seriously to refuse.
"Nope, definitely not. I am meeting up with Rudolph's sister at Granny's Diner."
Nancy softened her expression while Rose looked uncertain of her choice.
"I thought you said you wanted nothing to do with her or your dad... Rudolph. What changed?"
Rose asked curiously.
"She promised to tell me everything if I agreed to join her for lunch, and that will be in the next one hour or so."
Nancy explained with eyes full of hope, and Rose was happy for her.
"That will be a good thing, but I advise you to check on Rudolph the same way you are doing for me. Him being in a better state now is honestly a blessing. Don't you think?"
Nancy lowered her head.
"Rudolph has a new stepdaughter who is seriously annoying. She really gets on my nerves."
She gritted her teeth, and Rose smiled amusedly as she recalled having the same feeling in the past.
"Not going to check on poor Rudi is what will give my aunt and her daughter power to do whatever. Just be around and make sure there aren't loopholes for them to be able to conspire."
They exchanged a knowing glance.
"I will try just because you have said so... look who is by the door."
Rose followed Nancy's gaze to the entrance.
"Hey Sammy."
They both smiled at Samantha, who walked in and hugged Nancy before leaning over to embrace Roselyn warmly.
"Don't squeeze me, please!"
Roselyn grimaced, and Sam pulled back with a nice smile, sitting right beside Nancy to face their sick friend.
"Hey Nancy, and you, Mrs Foster. How did you end up here again?"
Sam asked softly.
"Stressing and unhealthy diet, plus doing ups and downs."
Nancy uttered deliberately as Rose was about to respond.
"How awful. We should put you on a tight, strict schedule of eating, Rose, because I wanna be your child's godmother. Right Nancy?"
Sam raised her eyebrows as Nancy shrugged her head, silently protesting against what had just been said.
"You should give up because Risa won't agree with you, which is unfair because she has Christopher all to herself."
Rose smirked at her best friend, who stuck out her tongue playfully.
"Really Rose, but don't worry, Sam. Since we are all friends, then we will share godmother roles."
Samantha quickly agreed with a gentle nod.
"Sharing won't be a problem if only we start being strict before another one comes."
Sam replied jokingly, and the three of them laughed.
"Excuse me, ladies. I have to hit the road."
Nancy stood up and brushed her dress.
"Do what I said. I promise that me and my daughter will be the happiest."
Rose teased.
"How do you know it's a girl in there?"
Sam asked with curiosity in her eyes.
"That's the answer I'm looking for, otherwise, bye."
Rose giggled as Nancy fled the room.
"It was more of a wish than fully knowing. Are you good?"
Sam nodded.
"All is well. I needed to come check on you."
They smiled at each other.
