Disguise To The Northeast

Disguise To The Northeast
"So, what does he do there?" Collin asked again; I myself was no longer able to say anything. The person I thought was sincere, and about whom I felt I knew everything, turned out to be a lackey of the Northeast, which means he is my enemy.
"I can't say anything else. I promised Jean not to say more," Luca continued.
"That means Jean asked you not to tell me his true identity, in which case he was indeed planning to lie to me." Just hearing this is already making me sick.
"Miss, I will see you next week. I hope you'll be patient, miss, and not think about this too much." I just nodded at Luca's words, even though I knew he wouldn't see it.Collin ended the call with Luca.
"Miss, are you alright?" Collin asked carefully.
"Collin, let's get ready to go northeast. We will go undercover to see what Jean is doing there, what his job is, and what his duties are, if Luca really doesn't want to tell me." I massaged my temples even though my heart was the one that hurt.
"Miss, don't be rash. We could get caught by Mr. Jay, and what will happen to Luca there?"
"So what am I supposed to do? If Jean infiltrated here, becoming a spy in the west, that means our government is in trouble. Just get ready and we'll sneak to the northeast; I'll take all the risks," I said with frustration and no other choice. Collin finally agreed to my order and left my office.
In my heart, I had to see with my own eyes what Jean's job was in the northeast. Even though this will be painful, it's better for me to know now than to find out too late.
Collin turned back to me after he brought his leather jacket and a large bag, and we got ready to leave.
"Miss, are you sure we should leave right now? The situation in the northeast is chaotic due to Leonard's attack. If you meet Jean there, I can't guess what your relationship will be like." Collin warned me during the trip.
"What else can we do, Collin? I need to calm myself down right now. If I let it go on for too long, I'm not even sure I'll be able to work and take care of my affairs properly." I asked Collin to understand; I told him I don't care what happens. I need to know what Jean is doing there, whether his presence beside me is truly to spy on us or not.
Anyway, I have to go and calm myself down with all these prejudices. I promise, I will accept all the risks and heartbreak.
"Very well, if that's what you want, miss. I will continue to support you, miss, and ensure your safety," said Collin. Collin took something out of a bag he was carrying; inside was a red wig and clothes that would in no way indicate that this was Reinhardt, the ruler of the west.
"You prepared it well. Thank you." Honestly, I was quite moved. Collin continued to prepare many things and meet our needs for our infiltration into the northeast, even though Collin seemed unwilling to accept my reckless plan.
"I must protect you, but I beg you to also be careful in your actions. Whatever Jean does there, we'll just watch him, not scold him, and quickly head back west." I nodded in agreement with Collin's words. We just need to make sure Jean is really there and what his job is.
We continued our journey. A long journey that took hours without any preparation. But I didn't even see any signs of sleepiness in Collin; he stayed awake and drove the car without stopping, as if he knew I wanted to get to the Northeast quickly.
"Miss, just sleep. I won't stop our journey." Collin asked me to rest.
"How can I rest, Collin? My mind is so busy guessing what I'll find to the northeast. Why do I feel so uneasy like this?"
"If that's the case, at least fill your stomach, miss." With one hand, Collin pulled open his pocket zipper and showed a lot of food. I didn't know Collin would be so attentive to the journey, bringing some food from headquarters. But Collin is very smart and calculating.
"I didn't even think we needed to bring a packed lunch back at headquarters. But you calculated everything. It's true, I'm really hungry right now, and this is very useful." I smiled and grabbed a loaf of bread from Collin's bag.
"You should stop and eat for a bit too." I asked Collin to pull over, but Collin didn't want to stop the car.
"It would be much better if we got there quickly, and I can eat with just one hand." Collin took the bread from his bag, opened the plastic with his mouth, and then devoured it with one hand.
"I'm sorry for bothering you with my request." I suddenly felt listless again, seeing Collin working so hard to fulfill my wish even though danger was right in front of us, which made me feel sad.
"Why has Miss Reinhardt's couch become so sensitive? We are your people, we serve you, and besides, what we are doing is for our common goal, right?" I replied to Collin with a nod.
"I don't know why I've become like this. But this uneasy feeling grew when I was betrayed by my closest people, especially Leonard and Veronica. It was like a feeling of unworthiness and lack of confidence. But I'm only showing this to you, John, and also Jean," I said honestly.
"Yes, don't let anyone else find out and use your mood as a weakness. I hope you are always confident, because there is no one better than you in any aspect. Veronica is jealous and wants to be you because you're too perfect."
"Yes, I hope my confidence returns. I hope I'm not afraid anymore." I was lost in thought, and suddenly we were already at the border.
"Miss, you must prepare yourself immediately." When Collin mentioned that, I immediately went to the back seat of the car to change my appearance. We took turns doing this because Collin also needed to change his appearance.
"We can enter the headquarters by pretending to be a technician or by visiting a member. And another option is we can go to the port to see the situation. We'll be lucky if we find Jean at the port so we don't have to infiltrate the headquarters."
"Then we'll go to the port," I decided.
